  1. If I’m not mistaken ‘77 was the year, with Earl, that we were undefeated going into the Cotton Bowl, but the loss kept us from winning the NC. I had a coffee mug, which I still had for decades, that had ‘77 on it and undefeated, that I bought for my Dad for Christmas on a school shopping trip in Dallas. I didn’t know he didn’t drink coffee, so he gave it to me as a pen/pencil holder for my desk at home. Hook’em!!!
  2. Brad too! 77 before K Sims. Hook’em!!!
  3. K Sims was one of my favorite Longhorns as a youngster. I had a T-shirt made at Rooster’s with 77 on it because of him and that I was 7. He was a very large, but approachable guy, to the few kids after practice. Hook’em!!!
  4. The fact that we play “at aggy” brings our Strength of Schedule down for 2024. Eat that fact shit heads (aggy)! Hook’em!!!
  5. The Longhorns’ first National Championship, in football, was versus the Naval Academy in 1963. Hook’em!!!
  6. When WSU played in the Valero Alamo Bowl! My son holding the sign I made. Hook’em!!!
  7. My Dad loves him some TX HS FB playoffs! He still goes all around greater-Houston during the first 2-3 rounds of the playoffs, as long as it doesn’t conflict with watching his Katy Tigers. He’ll go watch a half of one game, then drive to watch the 2nd of another. He works the press box for Katy ISD during the regular season, but he’s done when the playoffs start. He will even drive to Beaumont to watch a playoff game. Hook’em!!!
  8. Yes - but of course “gravity” has taken its toll on my Dad (now 81), but he was an OL/DL in the early ‘60s. He still wears his “T Ring” daily, which is on his left hand with J Whit. JW was more excited that my Dad had seen him play in HS and that’s what they talked about pre/post picture- Dad knew he’d be a Home Run for the Horns!! We’re all rooting for a great last season with him and hope he can really break through and go get it the NFL! Hook’em!!!
  9. Well - we’re waiting, as it’s after 6!! Hook’em!!!
  10. No shit - game should’ve started NLT than 11 or 12 CST in Hattiesburg. Hook’em!!!
  11. Too bad for aggy - they didn’t invent college T-shirts back in ‘39. Hook’em!!!
  12. Dooly Prince was the catcher, from Sulphur. His brother was one hell of an “undersized” DB for McNeese, while I lived there. They came from a “bull riding” family, so first they were all part crazy! Hook’em!!!
  13. I lived in Lake Charles when the ‘05 Horns won the NC and the catcher was from Sulphur, LA. Talking about making local Tiger Fans disgruntled! Hook’em!!!
  14. That is awesome!!! Still wear an ‘05 Rose Bowl shirt, for games we need it (football)!!! Hook’em!!!
  15. Alright Horns Fans, the first was from just getting home. Now we need this- From SA - FIGHT !!!! Hook’em!!!
  16. Enough of the “Bitchadness”!!!!! From SA - TEXAS !!!!!!

  20. I read that in a Seminole voice/dialect. Hook’em!!!
  21. Two guys from Hardin County, Texas. Riggs (left) from Sour Lake and Crosby from Kountze. Hook’em!!!
  22. The thought of kicking straight-on and shoeless is hard to think of, let alone even attempt! Crosby said he’d point his toes upward and kick the ball just below the arched toes and “ball” of his foot. Hook’em!!!
