  1. Over on Mastodon:
  2. Lurch replied to tx 3 putt's topic in Cloak Room
    Same on job and rental apps
  3. If Threads connects to the fediverse it could actually help Mastadon. Being untethered to a specific provider is the way. It’s highly ironic that it takes Meta to help it scale into viability
  4. Yep, and they fear META investing in solving that problem via scraping. The demand for it is at an all time high, for sure
  5. My guess is they’re preempting attempts by meta to enable importing follow lists. Software companies always look for “stickiness” to make transitioning to competitors difficult, and this is theirs
  6. Sounds like an aggressive but reasonable goal. I was in a very similar place (47, 260#) and calorie counting on LoseIt has worked very well for me. Personally I’ve not seen any added value in fasting for me. Sticking to my calorie budget is already sufficiently challenging that I’d be concerned about burning out by adding additional barriers.
  7. To be clear, that controls what notifications you get, not what content appears on Home tab
  8. I read somewhere Meta or Insta previously had an app called Threads that they killed. Probably still had naming rights secured from that project
  9. [emoji90]
  10. Head of Insta and presumably Threads https://www.threads.net/@mosseri?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
  11. Texaslonghorns (athletic dept) now on Subs in thread https://www.threads.net/@texaslonghorns?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
  12. From my experience so far, randoms seem to lessen the more people you follow. There’s probably a setting on how many threads they show you and it will fill with your follows first, and then randoms
  13. Not that I’ve found. Plenty of threads mentioning it
  14. No nudity https://www.threads.net/t/CuVcNkWtFU_/?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
  15. Skeet Utaustintx is on
  16. Texasfootball is on
  17. You can. Hit the paper airplane
  18. Yep see my comment above. They can be quietly connected
  19. Does this work https://www.threads.net/t/CuVYfM4plGl/?igshid=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==
  20. I’d guess it’s using Meta
  21. Hint, from within instagram you can create a new, separate, account that will share your login but keep your identities unknowable by others. Ie, my instagram friends can’t see this other account I’m using for Threads
