what's the story with this woman singing both anthems game after game after game after game -
1. changing the day of an away game to give us a short week, working with the broadcast partner that fucked us before a hundred times and is disparaging us in this circumstance 2. a 3-hour change to the start of a homegame for the health and safety of 108,000 people when it has zero economic impact on our league and our current broadcast partner how ya'll are able to conflate and contrast these 2 entirely different circumstances is beyond me
-
why would i want to do that? it's easier to bitch here and hope someone with agency or influence reads this on the other hand i do know 3 people who have had calls returned by cdc so maybe i will try that it's 3:58pm and 0u sux
-
the argument in question is about kicking off on a brown dwarf (11am) or a neutron pulsar (3pm)
-
we paid 0u's early exit fee by flipping the home/away years of the michigan game so fox could have last year's payday, for which they are repaying the favor by ratfucking the narrative on the MLB contract which prevents saturday night games for the b1g, and conspiring with fosu to blame us for their problem, again after we made sure they were whole 0u didn't make sure fox was made whole from our early exit 0u owes us, and specifically in the context of a game telecast situation whatever arguments anyone makes against my position, allow me to retort: 13 September Philadelphia average high SEVENTY NINE DEGREES there is zero justification for a 315pm kick in austin on the same day none
-
@mdmost thank you and that's fair.... 11am g5/ooc sjsu is totally fair given the entire conference slate in week 2 here's the early games for week 3 where i have an issue: Wisconsin at Alabama: Sat., Sept. 13 on ABC/ESPN at 12 p.m. Oklahoma at Temple: Sat., Sept. 13 on ESPN2 at 12 p.m. South Alabama at Auburn: Sat., Sept. 13 on SEC Network at 12:45 p.m. Georgia at Tennessee: Sat., Sept. 13 on ABC at 3:30 p.m. UL Lafayette at Missouri: Sat., Sept. 13 on ESPN+ or SECN+ at 4 p.m. UTEP at Texas: Sat., Sept. 13 on SEC Network at 4:15 p.m. the average high in philadelphia on 13 september is 79 degrees, 37% chance overcast the "ratings split impact" will be the same whether we go up against wisky/bama or uga/tenn - both of those games are going to pull the national audience the horn audience will be the same at 11am or 3pm there is no excuse for a 120 degree game given this schedule 0u/temple needs to flip with us on september 13th and disney can figure out the networks

what is the night game on secn/+ on the 13th that justifies 315 for utep?

i did not keep up with this thread since new years and since search sucks i can't confirm if this has been posted...... talkiebird is done on 30 june here is the batallion recap of his time in charge which i'm sure ignores all of his greatest hits: https://thebatt.com/news/theres-only-one-john-sharp-after-14-years-the-texas-am-systems-longest-serving-chancellor-nears-retirement/ his replacement is aggy '93 and here is his opening statement after confirmation 2 months ago: +++ https://news.tamus.edu/glenn-hegar-named-chancellor-of-the-texas-am-university-system/ Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar ’93 was confirmed Friday as the next chancellor of The Texas A&M University System by a unanimous vote of the Board of Regents. “I am grateful and honored that the Board of Regents have entrusted me with the responsibility of leading one of the greatest university systems in the nation,” Hegar said. “Our Core Values unite us and set the Texas A&M System apart from the others, and I remain steadfastly committed to upholding and preserving those values.” +++ he was the only finalist for the job - and that makes sense as the highest-ranking aggy in the lege who knows better than anyone else how to steal our money but to repeat the best news, he is committed to keeping aggy aggy @closetojumping what's the word on this guy?
-
the strongest parallel in modern american society is the belief by aggy and the brethren that each group are "the chosen people" but the brethren have never built an empty blimp hangar for trophies the "anointed" "god's chosen" "sleeping giant" aspect of aggy indoctrination is what causes their brain-crushing cognitive dissonance from constant and never-ending failure for them, it truly is impossible to understand and it's glorious to behold
-
this the rest of the league is going to protect 3 acc/ooc rivalry games to justify staying at 8 ???? the fuck is this idiocy? conflating the problem with a theoretical b1g alliance is crap - if they want out of that fine - the rest of the league can do it to keep a strong sos and fl/ga/sc can have their acc game NO FCS AT ALL
-
on the 995 aggy screenshot thread there was a cap in the last week of an ag tag which said, paraphrased "with what we've spent on a/b/c/d/etc it's a statistical impossibility that they suck as bad as they do, school built on an indian burial ground, etc." i've never tried to make aggy read aggypedia but that's next

one of these things is not like the others what if one of these games *SHOULD* go on the chopping block?

for any intrepid interlopers in search of authentic frontier gibberish (pure 100% unadulterated fosu content) here's an article from 2008: https://ohiostatebuckeyes.com/news/2008/10/25/saturday-night-light as a public service, let us broadcast the relevant section far and wide... so let it be written so let it be done +++ Sept. 11, 2005 – Texas 25, Ohio State 22 No. 4-ranked Ohio State was defeated by No. 2 Texas, 25-22, in the first-ever meeting between the schools in front of a record crowd of 105,565 Saturday in Ohio Stadium. Josh Huston kicked a school and stadium record five field goals (45 yards, 36, 25, 44, 26). Santonio Holmes had 36-yard touchdown reception from Troy Smith and finished with 73 yards on four catches to lead the Buckeyes. Antonio Pittman had a team-best 75 yards on 17 carries. A.J. Hawk had an interception, two sacks, a team-high 12 tackles (including three for loss), a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. For Texas, quarterback Vince Young was 18-for-29 for 270 yards, with two touchdowns and two interceptions. He also rushed for 76 yards on 20 carries. Receiver Billy Pittman had 130 yards on five catches. Texas scored on its first and second possessions of the game to claim a 10-0 first-quarter lead. Holmes took the ensuing kickoff and raced 47 yards, leading to a Huston connection from 45 yards out to pull the Buckeyes within a 10-3 score in the second quarter. The Buckeyes followed with a nine-play, 80-yard drive that saw quarterback Troy Smith complete a 36-yard pass to Holmes in the corner of the end zone to tie the score. Huston’s leg gave the Buckeyes a 13-10 lead with 4:33 to play before halftime. Hawk fell on a fumble on the ensuing Texas possession to give the ball back to Ohio State. Nine plays later, Huston kicked his third field goal of the night to build the Buckeye lead to 16-10 with 35 seconds to play before intermission. Texas pulled within three points on a Pino 37-yard field goal with two seconds left in the opening half. In the second half, another Texas turnover led to anther Huston field goal. On the Longhorns’ second play of their first second-half drive, Vince Young threw his second interception of the game as safety Nate Salley picked off a ball tipped by linebacker Bobby Carpenter. Six plays later, Huston booted his fourth field goal of the game, this time connecting from 44 yards to give the Buckeyes a 19-13 lead with 11:46 to play in the third quarter. After the Longhorns pulled within three, 19-16, on a 25-yard Pino field goal, Huston tied a school and Ohio Stadium record with his fifth field goal of the game to retake a six-point lead. His connection from 26 yards out made the score 22-16 with 5:12 to play. The Longhorns tied the game on a Young 24-yard touchdown pass to Limas Sweed with 2:37 left in the fourth quarter. Pino put Texas ahead with the extra point. The seven-play drive covered 67 yards and took 2:23 off the clock. On the next drive, Ohio State fumbled and the Longhorns recovered on the OSU 21 with 2:19 left. Texas did not score on the drive, turning the ball over to OSU on downs inside the 1-yard line. On the first play from scrimmage, Smith was sacked in the end zone for a safety, pushing the Texas lead to 25-22. Ohio State attempted an onside kick following the safety, but it was recovered by Texas, giving the Longhorns possession at the OSU 32. V. Young took a knee to run out the clock.

welp, that was weird - that's the url that google coughed up fify: https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/45363617/texas-ad-chris-del-conte-clarifies-ohio-state-game-change-proposal-refutes-nil-football-roster-payout-report

i have a cunning plan bjork can ask fox to write a check to major league baseball for a one-time exception to their contract with fox so fox can have that time slot for a national college football game then bjork can impose a tariff on all tosu students of let's say, $500 each, to reimburse the other 15 teams in the b1g for the check fox had to write yes this is brilliant IT'S A CUNNING PLAN

here are 3 articles on the topic from yesterday and today: https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/45363617/texas-ad-chris-del-conte-clarifies-ohio-state-game-change-proposal-refutes-nil-football-roster-payout-report https://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-football/2025/05/156333/texas-athletic-director-chris-del-conte-had-no-interest-in-moving-ohio-state-vs-texas-to-sunday-i-ve-got-to-go-to https://frontofficesports.com/fox-was-willing-to-move-ohio-state-texas-from-noon-to-primetime-texas-said-no/ the articles are consistent: - each headline blames Texas for refusing a night game - each article then corrects itself to correctly state Texas refused to change the day from saturday to sunday, but then carries forward with the narrative that Texas has refused a night game - each article downplays or does not mention at all how a move from saturday to sunday would 1) impact the week 1 / week 2 competitive cadence for the Texas football team, 2) impact the operations and logistics for the Texas football program and 3) the impact on the logistics and travel arrangements for Texas fans less than 100 days out - each article does not mention fox's baseball contract which prevents a move to a night game on the day the game is contractually scheduled - each article does not mention the early-exit negotiation with fox that moved the michigan game to pay 0u's early exit fees to fox, and that the subject of moving the previously contracted day of this year's ohio state game was not discussed during that early-exit negotiation (narrator: why not?) - each article does not mention our night game win at the shoe in 2005, nor is their mention of the zombie townies attack on Texas fans 3 and 4 times older than said zombie scum in summary, as far as all other parties are concerned, any viewpoint or statement of fact regarding the agency of Texas in these matters is not necessary to support the narrative (attack) they are attempting to portray in the national media, so.... FUCK THEM ALL not our problem and i still maintain CDC should call a presser and put it on fox and bjork to agree to move the game forward 18 hours and kick at 7pm eastern the day before on Friday night

since 2000, fosu have played following games in september...... out west: cal, ucla, usc; didn't look up kick times for ocean weather games, also didn't look up box scores for temp at kick, doubtful any of the 3 were 'warm' south of 36th parallel: austin 06, miami 11, norman 16, arlington 18; austin/miami/norman all night games, arlington (roach) indoors in this century at a minimum, they have never played a game in what we would consider warm conditions, and have not played in direct sun at any temp above 80 degrees

one thing is certain 95% of the tickets to us matches will go to people who do not deserve them group (exhibition) games for big names will be accessible for $1000 r32 and r16 with big names will be $2-3k on the secondary market with no face value access for the unconnected quarters and beyond basically forget about it unless you have walkaway money AND connections, otherwise secondary market will be $5k just to get in, decent seats $7-10k
