  1. You can tell he’s a true engineer because he calls tweeting write actions.
  2. I was in fact still a burnt ends subscriber, was just having a hard time finding that on mobile while dealing with a 4 month old.
  3. Yeah I suppose he wouldn’t have VATS without a pip boy. Man I love the pip boy noises.
  4. I keep being afraid to open this thread because I'm enjoying this but it's slow going with my life these days. I think I'm up to the 4th episode now. Requesting that big spoilers or plot discussion gets spoilertagged for a bit longer at least. A nod to the videogames i enjoyed in the first shootout scene that i saw was the zoom/slow-mo effect. It took me a second to remember that that mirrors the VATS (vault-tec assisted targeting system) gameplay in the game. All this desert stuff, I hope I hear this song at some point
  5. caveat of I really didn't follow JTE's life and all the drama very closely so this is a general and not a specific comment but yeah, high maintenance drama is standard and there's a reason that al-anon and nar-anon (like AA or NA but for loved ones and codependents) exist
  6. good strategy for folks here as well
  7. I think the stupidest brand of stupid might be people who continue think that they are dunking on covid alarmism after over a million American deaths.
  8. I don’t know if it comes back in later but I like that 32 and 33 were connected agriculture vaults, one corn one wheat
  9. I’ll offer a dissenting opinion on going back and playing Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas - I did that last year and really enjoyed it. Of course, I had already played FO3 and I’m also not constantly playing modern stuff like Baldurs Gate 3, but I was easily able to reset to late 2000’s era graphics. The controls aren’t bad, and it is still really to great to play as an RPG - turning the lights off, immersing yourself in the character, creeping through the subway tunnels. Stumbling into the mutant camp in the National Mall was awesome all over again, and doing New Vegas for the first time was great. Loving the show. I’m still on the second episode. Lots of subtle details for the fans of the games - looks like Walter Goggins is playing with the Bloody Mess perk.
  10. Interesting but not surprising that BE is really not driven by the tiny money donors.
  11. Also just because I was looking at the lineup of that festival near Austin soon (sister is going, lol wtf is Luda doing?) and saw Sierra Ferrell on it - she’s weird as hell and I’m kinda interested
  12. I would have to know the first thing about their relationship to comment on how they should talk. Or at least to do so with any real conviction. In her quote she describes the line “left you on the bathroom tiles” as grotesque and graphic and then claims that only she has the right to share “Justin’s truth”. I’m pausing because I don’t want to just defend the guitar hero guy who is printed on my underpants by calling the woman hysterical but I don’t think her perspective is tethered in reality and because of that I don’t trust her description of what happened. addict dies from doing addict things and the loved ones who let him go couldn’t possibly have a perspective or a stake or a right. Nope. Honestly I never took the tiles line as literal either.
  13. Can you run a query to show the posters whose feelings are hurt the most?
  14. I don’t blame her for feeling how she does but I disagree with her about pretty much everything. Jason’s not the guy she should be mad at and isn’t the one who created this thing for her daughter to live with.
  15. Am I a burnt ends subscriber? I don’t see that listed in my account and I have no recollection of unsubscribing. I do wonder if you’re leaking subscribers somehow.
  16. ah yeah, I bet that'd be perfect https://www.amazon.com/Nordic-Ware-Natural-Aluminum-Commercial/dp/B0000UM04O/ref=sr_1_7?crid=3TXLXXD41LKAK&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.wO7haWN_hDNeJcRpen3e9QRF94bqygH1NUfy223A2lbtlBlkTImAX0agMPBQDgLquPEEUHZr1lOlLmntG9tLWj1AAcdEJwGAjpidRzVaNzWxYUrK3XVw_EfwsXYlcbkjcJvNCfh-ja7szX1ugf-jblMHGe8BXxR6i5E33hcHwKM6PS7_phT934N_XbZ-ZbEU7td_Cue_tSW50z9J0-cYRReLW-JBeOPYn-H-VZcG713tpDoO7KJ-dfaCvvdTdhcjywI0VntG_lgLh3ZgHl_brGbcgzOT_UQ2K7ZSTo3nUDs.aIqycowxFZ2LI1tBTojv7MLi3khDRWnn9peo_Pn54XM&dib_tag=se&keywords=nordic+ware+quarter+sheet+quarter+cake&qid=1712937406&sprefix=nordic+ware+quarter+sheet+quarter+cake%2Caps%2C98&sr=8-7 btw if anyone has one of these breville homies, it fits
  17. also, wegmans only had a few tomatillos and I didn't have time to go to Wal Mart (which is has the most hispanic shoppers and is typically the best place for many ingredients without driving in to the Mexican grocery in Raleigh) so I used canned tomatillos. I rinsed the shit out of them, didn't cook them (since they are already cooked and would have come apart i think) and went light on the salt. I don't have a reference with fresh but the sauce was tasty and I need to try making ninfa's green sauce with canned tomatillos, could revolutionize my whole life.
  18. I didn't grease the pan, but the tortillas went from greasy plate to hot greasy comal to the pan where i rolled them. No con carne on the sauce -these were green enchiladas. Probably it would have been good to have some warm sauce to spoon over the enchiladas on the plate, and I might go 5 per row rather than 6 per row next time - I had to spill a bit of sauce in order to properly cover the enchiladas on either end. Admittedly not the most awesome looking enchiladas or picture - this was a "quick" weeknight meal while I was rocking a baby with my foot and the enchiladas sat there for a bit before i snagged a pic
  19. Oh yeah - I mean, you're not entirely wrong, but those are marker onions to let me know which enchiladas have onions rolled in to them, which will be the ones that I smother with onions as soon as I take it out of the oven and will be the ones that I then scoop on to my plate.
