  1. And now we know the real reason aggy had to turn Stoops' plane away.
  2. Wtf play are you even talking about here?
  3. I don't think you realize how absurd your premise is here for justifying the chant. Essentially, because Miami had been hyped all year, once Bama fans realized they were going to beat them, their first instinct was to chant...their conference? You do realize this is basically the same as if Texas fans had started chanting "big 12" after Vince Young's run in the rose bowl. Thankfully I can promise you that not a single Texas fan gave that a thought. The big 12 hadn't won shit, Texas had. Same as Bama had. So, no, that does not justify why the chant has a time and place, in fact it only helps highlight how dumb it is.
  4. So, my neighbor is an ex NFL guy. His son plays in the NFL now, and went to...Georgia (he was actually on the squad we beat, which I didn't even realize until they highlighted him in the broadcast). I'm considering dropping off a nice little gift on their doorstep this week. Cupcakes with the longhorn logo, cookies in the shape of longhorns, etc. Any ideas? They're great folks and I'd be doing this with the kids, so those are constraints (which probably rule out 90% of what this board would come up with).
  5. While this is all completely logical, one thing I learned from our bowl with them is that you just really can't tell if Georgia wants to be there or not until you see how the game goes. If Georgia comes out and gives us a tough game or wins, then everything you said here will be true. If Texas comes out and dominates, that will be a clear sign that Georgia did not, in fact, want to be there. We'll just have to wait and see.
  6. Brent Venables just needs a little more time to get things going in the right direction. Hang in there, Sooners. It might not be next season, or the one after that, but he'll get there if you give him the time.
  7. Good Lord, it's easy to forget how fucking good Bijan was.
  8. Yeah, but that woman looks like a bird.
  9. His hedging on Georgia already tells you exactly how nervous he is about that one.
  10. Spin it like a helicopter
  11. OU sucks OU Sucks OU sucks OU sucks OU fucking sucks Edit: damnit @Sawbonz beat me to it
  12. Georgia #1. Aggy #2. Texas not in top 5. Maybe I actually am Graham.
  13. Nice try, Graham.
  14. Well, and we're bringing Quinn back. Quinn has zero sec wins this season, so we should probably be at the bottom of the standings, tbh.
  15. Missouri looked like shit, but the officiating in the first part of their game with aggy was as suspect as I've seen in a while. Missouri gets a positive play? Penalty. It wasn't the volume of penalties so much as the timing of them and nature of them. Always on momentum building plays, always the kind of penalties that happen on basically every down without calls. aggy, of course, had Missouri lineman in choke holds, but wasn't flagged until the game was well in hand. I'm not concerned about our team playing theirs this season, but I am wary of the officiating at Kyle Field.
  16. What are the odds Graham has aggy #1 this week? He has to avoid having us there, and with Tennessee and Bama taking losses, he's running out of options. Plus, aggy are the only 3-0 team in the sec, after all. My guess is he can't quite bring himself to do it and he has uga first again with aggy second as the only 3-0 team in the sec. Texas will not break the top 5.
  17. NC is entering their 2010 era, it appears. I wonder how long they can hold out for Mack to "get it fixed."
  18. Brent Venables has been watching some stuff on YouTube lately that the mainstream is trying to bury and thinks you should really open your eyes and do your own research.
  19. Yeah, save the sport is some self-serving wording here. Many of us weren't even aware the sport was dying.
