  1. Looks like every one of my son's 10U soccer team pics if they medal in a tournament. There's always that kid. John - not surprisingly - is "that kid."
  2. 67% of US population has at least one dose. (78% 12 and up, 80% 18 and up) 58% fully vaccinated (68% 12 and up, 70% 18 and up) https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#vaccinations_vacc-people-onedose-pop-12yr
  3. I just let it go but really hard to discuss a wealth tax with someone who clearly doesn’t even know the difference between income and net worth.
  4. If I make $100 blowing Tubbs, I should pay tax on that income. No one has argued that. That's different than a wealth tax or a cap on wealth.
  5. Prime example of a guy you might think is a billionaire and you spend a year valuing every business and asset he has an interest in, only to find out that he's worth about $600 million and the billionaire tax doesn't even apply to him.
  6. None of this conversation is about income.
  7. Its their job to value private companies constantly? Since when? That's a massive, very time consuming, and expensive job. Especially when, in most cases, there will be no pay off.
  8. Every time I've asked a question on how your plan works, you've come back with a personal attack. I don't think you can explain any of it.
  9. Learn how to quote, "dimwit." That's not an answer. Is the government constantly valuing private companies? And if they determine someone owns $1.3 billion in a private company, that doesn't mean the person has $300,000,000 in cash to pay this 100% tax on all net worth over $1 billion. How does this work? Income is easy. You received money, now pay a share. That's exactly what you've promoted multiple times.
  10. Y'all have said this over and over. I asked how. Who values a private company and, assuming the stake in the company is the primary asset, how is the tax paid? I do not. Funny that y'all think that's everyone's motivation. That they believe they will one day be a billionaire and won't want a wealth tax when they get there. Like everyone else here, I've been around people better at certain things than me throughout my entire life. Some made better grades. Some more creative. Some better athletes. And I never wanted to cap their success just because I was never going to be them. A progressive tax makes sense to me. A wealth tax does not. A cap certainly does not.
  11. So he's giving it to his employees and there is no tax paid?
  12. How do you tax everything over $1 billion? We aren't talking about income. Jeff Bezos became a billionaire in 1998. Does he just constantly liquidate his Amazon stock everytime it goes over $1 billion in value and hand it over the IRS? I don't know what the motivation of any of Bezos, gates, Musk, Buffett, etc to not just go to the house after they hit $1 billion. Maybe that's a good thing for some. Maybe we miss out on a lot of innovation. OK. What about the guy who owns a private company? How does he pay this "tax" on his 33% stake in a company when the government says the company is worth $4 billion?
  13. So Tech has an opening. Will Leach be available soon?
  14. I don't get the anger, especially the "anyone asking Sean Payton or Andy Reid about that?" part. Its a great college job and Carson Palmer mentioned him as a candidate so they had to ask. USC would no doubt pay him more than the $6 million he makes now. Its not an insult. He's certainly not the first NFL coach linked to a premier college job.
  15. If we can trust hand written vaccination cards from Kroger, we can trust a note from a doctor.
  16. To access businesses and services? No. But then again, I've been vaccinated 8 months and have only shown my card once - to get into my kids summer camp. To keep their employment? To have infection put on equal footing as vaccination. Yes. I think many would see it as a big "victory."
