  1. How do you tax everything over $1 billion? We aren't talking about income. Jeff Bezos became a billionaire in 1998. Does he just constantly liquidate his Amazon stock everytime it goes over $1 billion in value and hand it over the IRS? I don't know what the motivation of any of Bezos, gates, Musk, Buffett, etc to not just go to the house after they hit $1 billion. Maybe that's a good thing for some. Maybe we miss out on a lot of innovation. OK. What about the guy who owns a private company? How does he pay this "tax" on his 33% stake in a company when the government says the company is worth $4 billion?
  2. So Tech has an opening. Will Leach be available soon?
  3. I don't get the anger, especially the "anyone asking Sean Payton or Andy Reid about that?" part. Its a great college job and Carson Palmer mentioned him as a candidate so they had to ask. USC would no doubt pay him more than the $6 million he makes now. Its not an insult. He's certainly not the first NFL coach linked to a premier college job.
  4. If we can trust hand written vaccination cards from Kroger, we can trust a note from a doctor.
  5. To access businesses and services? No. But then again, I've been vaccinated 8 months and have only shown my card once - to get into my kids summer camp. To keep their employment? To have infection put on equal footing as vaccination. Yes. I think many would see it as a big "victory."
  6. Getting the negative "recovery" test would be easy. You can get that at any time.
  7. I would think most of the "anti-mandate" crowd would gladly agree to something like this. However, from reading the past 100 pages or so of this thread, I wouldn't think the CR would agree to any part of this.
  8. Make them get a periodic (30/60/90 days) antibody test. Everyone has promoted more testing for 18 months. Not sure why testing is an issue now. If cost is an issue, make them pay for it. Its only $45 or so. Most will gladly pay to continue to take a stand. If that's a problem, a free vaccine is available.
  9. Can we not agree there are certain jobs where you just don't get two months paternity leave? It just comes with the territory? I'm not going to pretend to know what the Transportation Secretary does on a daily basis, but I would assume that anyone in the President's Cabinet accepts the fact that their job is 365 days a year until you are no longer in that completely voluntary position.
  10. Maybe that's why they created Covid? Pretty quick solve.
  11. I saw an add for the sandwich. Maybe they are still using the name Kentucky Fried Chicken (instead of KFC), but it was the first time I'd see it in a while.
