The Puff Daddy show is a good watch. I had forgotten how much shit he'd been involved with beyond the sex crimes. Kind of mind blowing so many famous rich people had anything to do with him.
It's bullshit but the rankings Tuesday really don't give us a path to get in.
The committee moved Ole Miss up after losing Kiffin...they aren't being dropped out. OU was ahead of us. They aren't dropping below us. ND/Miami ahead of us, neither plays, they aren't dropping below us. BYU drops with a loss, Bama probably does with a blowout loss but that's not enough thanks to the stupid G5 bullshit and the conference champion rules.
The committee has destroyed all incentive for CFP contenders to schedule OOC games with other CFP contenders and I expect contenders to act accordingly, and swiftly.
I really think the committee has killed out of conference games between contenders going forward. Everyone saying the UF loss is why we're out...no the three losses is why we're out and one of the three games was optional.
Looking forward to the ranking show tomorrow.
I can't wait to see the committee pussy out and leave Ole Miss in despite excluding FSU two years ago for losing their QB. They will hide behind not wanting to punish the players or some shit like that. And I agree the Ole Miss team should not be punished because Kiffin and LSU couldn't figure out a way to do this before Ole Miss was done playing for the season. But at the same time, they did it to FSU for an injury and this is the HC and most of the staff being out, which is a bigger loss to a team?
As far as Texas, I really thought there would be more of a push to get us in beyond some tweets and Sark's post-game comments. Regardless of which loss you think is keeping us out, the bottom line is that this 9-3 Texas being left out directly incentivizes power house schools to punch down when scheduling. And I think we will see fallout from that quickly. Especially with 9 game SEC schedules coming, it would be irresponsible to schedule P4 teams capable of beating you.
I also think a field of 12 where Texas would be favored against more than half of them on a neutral site but is somehow left out will get us to 16 teams quicker and loosen the stupid G5/ND wiggle room rules.
After I posted this the Mahomes family came to mind but Pat seems cool so it's just the rest of them. In Diego's case...he's an insufferable twat himself. A jersey shore John eight ball.
It's a 12 team playoff and Texas is a top 10 team. We should be in. No one wants to play us right now. We are better than ND and Miami and we fucking beat OU and Vandy. Michigan lost. The committee isn't the AP, they can move us up 10 spots. And if playing the #1 team on the road and losing by 7 costs Texas a playoff berth there will be consequences across the entire sport with respect to scheduling.
Not directly Gameday but Saban is on the McAfee show once a week on Fridays (used to be Thursday I think) for like 45 mins and it's great radio/tv/listening/watching.
It's a goddamn shame we never got to the point where you could simply just pay for the channels you wanted and not have to subsidize 90% of shit only 10% of people watch.
