  1. You are welcome. Lived in Manhattan for 20 years (including Upper West Side) and now going back often cause younger daughter is living there. Be back at Thanksgiving. Can never get enough of it.
  2. Hey, UpperWestside, have you had the burger and fries at Hi-Life at Amsterdam and 83rd Street? They serve the fries in an upright metal cone. They are awesome with mayo and you can watch football at the bar. Also, yeah, Parm at 71st and Columbus is a technically a chain, but it's freaking amazing.
  3. A D1 college player who didn't care about getting his degree? Didn't he understand that the FSU athletic department cared more about his education than wins and generating revenue? That is shocking and undermines a really reputable system!
  4. That is partially true and relevant, for sure. But he has already changed the way people will construct a college team forever. And yes, he is polarizing. People who are trailblazers are ALWAYS polarizing because they threaten the unimaginative morons who hide behind the conventional wisdom. He took lots of crap from the HBUC coaches and is starting to now from the D1 ones for exposing them for the (mostly) frauds that they are who are in cahoots with the AD's to rob the fanbases.
  5. Got exposed, lol? How about got exposure? I love Deion. He is a master promoter. Remember how some of you made fun of me for saying he knows how to merchandise his brand? Last weekend, he ratchets up the media over some rando CS coach comment and sells $1.5 MILLION of his sunglasses the very next day! This is way bigger than football now. The Deion factor means it isn't about wins, anymore. Stars and performers are now attending Colorado games. It's become the cool thing to be, kinda like USC during their reign under Pete Carroll. People attending the game and on the sidelines last Saturday night. We are talking about Colorado vs Colorado State. Kawhi Leonard Key Glock Master P Lil Wayne The Rock Gronk Shannon Sharpe Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Rap star Offset Rap star Cordae Pat McAfee Desmond Howard Here's a question: Where do you think today's top recruits are going to want to play?
  6. Fair point. He has played it brilliantly so far. His next move will have to be really carefully considered. So many upgrades don't work out for various reasons.
  7. I think it's a good location for him. Smaller market, lower expectations, T Boone can open up the checkbook, and it matches Deion's country vibe. I bet he will be able to choose any location he wants for his next jump, but it's a thought.
  8. Hey, @'stache, I know you don't like Deion's style, but he is in his ascension stage, while your coach and the OSU program is plummeting into the abyss. Do you think a coaching change is in order?
  9. I'm reposting this from the Quinn Ewers thread. In the last few years, I have been fortunate to spend time w some amazing athletes. It's been a great opportunity to learn that they are pretty much normal folks like everyone else. They have fears, need help, etc, and do understand how lucky they are. I always think about the former athletes who weren't able to get to the league and how they got forgotten about, especially when they stop being someone's meal ticket. Along w Quinn Ewers, I got to hang w Cedric Baxter for three hours last week. He's trimmer than I thought he would be. He is a very sweet young man. Again, humble, smart and very approachable. I spoke to him at length and learned all about him. He told me about being originally committed to Florida State, which was his dream, but how when Coach Choice came to Texas, it was a done deal. He also wanted to leave the state and see more of the world, but he eventually would like to play for the Dolphins. He is also quite interested in fashion and has even created his own brand! You can follow him at @c4era on Insta. Check out his logo, which is pretty fun. We talked about how much we both liked Jahmyr Gibbs, who is a product of Choice. I told him I can't wait to watch him on Sundays. I told him I knew we would beat Bama when he got the start, cause we weren't playing scared. He said coming here early gave him the jump on learning the system and he appreciated the trust the coaches have in him. He said his injury is nothing to worry about. I also met his family. They were wonderful and are very protective of him. It made me realize how young he really is, as I think he said he came here when he was 17! I told them he is going to do great things in football or otherwise, and they appreciated it. I encouraged him to pursue the fashion world, since technology allows people to create successfully their own brand now. He also expressed to me about how much the win over Bama meant to Quinn in a really powerful way. Cedric w a familiar face in the background. I must have been standing on a podium. As you can see, I am no stranger to the glory that is Megastuff Oreos. They are my favorite, or maybe the ones dipped in chocolate. Yeah, those are even better. I also like Saloman trail runners. Allbirds suck. Don't buy them. On Cloudmonsters are also amazing when conquering urban landscapes. Rocking his logo. Quinn Ewers is a unique talent and a great person. Just chillin'. Best day ever. Anyway, thanks for indulging me.
  10. West Point is THE best place to watch a college football game in the US, hands down. No better place to be on a Saturday in the fall.
  11. Says the poster who celebrates the coach who threw the bitchiest, drama-queen meltdown of all time.
  12. Me and my boy did a tribute to McConaughey yesterday:
  13. Hey, I have been trashing Sark and I am so glad that I happily eating crow for it.
  14. Amazing to think that people in the 70s rode their pickup trucks to high school parking lots and left shotguns in the window behind the drivers seat!
  15. My beautiful friends, I spent three hours yesterday with Quinn Ewers and surprise guest, Cedric Baxter! As some of you may recall, I got to hang last summer w/ Mr. Ewers and Colt, and this time it was even more fun, if that's possible! He looks a little taller than last year, perhaps because he has slimmed down so much. Of course, I've fattened up, so there's that, too, haha. He is just about the nicest, most humble young man you can imagine. Plus, he can handle a vintage pickup truck and can rock a cowboy hat and some sweet Tecovas! I didn't know Cedric Baxter would be hanging with us. I want to to help him promote it. He said his injury is nothing to worry about and he didn't move hurt at all. I also met his family. They were wonderful and are very protective of him. It made me realize how young he really is, as I think he said he came here when he was 17! I told them he is going to do great things in football or otherwise, and they appreciated it. He also expressed to me about how much the win over Bama meant to Quinn in a really powerful way. I also got to talk shit with Quinn about Westlake. I told him that his Bama performance didn't surprise me, after I saw him carve up the best defense in our Westlake's history. (In my view, the Westlake game was harder than the Bama game, cause he had time against Bama while he was running for his life the entire HS championship game, and he was playing hurt!) He is such a gentle soul at heart and so easy to talk to. We talked about how happy we were that his HS teammates ended up at Air Force and SMU. Lot of talent from Southlake. For our pics, I migrated him to the new Mathew McConaughey "Hook 'em," just to piss you olds off. (Haha, I'm 63) Quinn kept bringing it back that they aren't done yet, and is really looking forward. I believe him! Here are some pics. Love y'all! Bro can style Sweet young man going to do great things Haha, check out the driver behind him. I need to lay off the Megastuff Oreos, but have you tried them? Did you know yo can have pictures printed on Oreos now? We did for daughter's college graduation party. They look awesome. Sweet Deal with it. What a great guy. Cedric having fun. How awesome is this? Next to the video of a the dude getting his pickup truck spun around by a tornado, then driving away, this might be the most Texas thing I've ever seen.
  16. Honestly, most of the Deion haters have fled the board. There are still a few remaining, but as each of their preseason proclamations get skewered, some have had to start literally making things up to attack him!
