  1. Stewart Mandell is one of the biggest morons in an industry filled with morons. I don't remember a single bad drop from a receiver. I remember Arch throwing behind or way out in front, or worm burning it. The only one that could have been reasonably caught but wasn't was Livingstone in tbe end zone, but that wasn't a drop. It was a difficult play to make trying to pull the ball off the top of the turf.
  2. If you want to get an idea of the tape on that performance. From his viewing of the All 22 and game film it seems the problems were Arch's uncharacteristic poor mechanics, Arch pressing and not processing and releasing quick enough, and Sark being way too damn predictable. Last season after Georgia stomped the offense in Austin several Georgia players said they knew what was coming based on film. This makes it clear OSU knew the same things. If Sark doesn't start changing things up a lot more, and putting in things to punish teams for sitting on his normal stuff, this offense will struggle against well coached defenses with top level talent.
  3. We need to talk about Parliament literally fucking his own face
  4. Not surprising. We won the trenches battle on both lines. We were the tougher team. We lost because our QB couldn't complete passes and we stupidly tried to battering ram it in from the 1 with the most predictable calls ever that OSU was sitting on.
  5. Young and sitting on the bench. I think the first thing that needs to be tried is Clark. It's fine to have one of Baxter or Wisner getting big carries, but not both in the same game. Clark reportedly has a lot of that Bijan style burst and quickness/elusiveness to his game. If so, we need it from that position. But he's behind Baxter and Wisner from a mental/pass pro aspect. If that means taking off a receiver and going 21 personnel at times is the answer then scheme it up. Other than that, it's freshmen like Lockett and Townsend that have the more explosive athletic traits. We still don't know what Mosely can do so we'll have to get him back to see. That said it was only 1 game and Arch wasn't the only one with big nerves. Last year our defense brought it every single game and kept us in every game. This defense looks like they picked right up from that, but may be even better against the run. That should have us right in position to take over every game we play of we get competent QB play here on out. We have 3 puppets to work over and destroy while working on getting tbe fundamentals tight then a bye week. Over a month worth of time to have another crack at the drawing board. That's another full fall camp worth of time with 3 scrimmages to work with to get it right and figure out who our weapons need to be. We better walk into Florida a fucking machine.
  6. We weren't beating the 2023 Michigan team with that defense they had. Their secondary was dialed in like a pro secondary and would have eaten Ewers alive, and our pass defense in 2023 was poor. Washington got easily handled by them and they had a better offense and QB than we did.
  7. My concern for this team is Sark called this game like he had zero confidence in his 3rd year QB and the offensive ability to run a more complex scheme. Looking back at the first 2 quarters and this shit was vanilla. Very little motion. Basic 11 and 12 personnel sets. Nothing challenging OSU's defense as they sat back and played in a coverage shell. Ap the question is why did he not trust this offense? And it's extremely concerning if a 3rd year QB can't be trusted to run it.
  8. Fucking Arch gave them nothing to hate.
  9. I want to talk shit about how bad these teams look, but neither us nor OSU looked any better
  10. Now that a single loss doesn't end your season it's ok to play these. The team can take away a lot to work on from this. They have the next month to get shit fixed before having to go into Florida for a real game. On the positive side... at least we aren't Alabama right now. Those inbred dumb cunts are spoiled by Saban and probably ready to cut DeBoer's head off. At least we played a tough, physical game and won the battle on both lines.
  11. Of course he does. Thats why he didn't do it.
  12. Can't even begin to evaluate the receivers without all 22 video, especially if you watched it on tv. Even in person how many people aren't watching the ball?
  13. I have some concerns
  14. Would love to know how often a team out rushes their opponent by over 2:1 on almost equal carries and loses the game. That has to be really rare I'd assume.
  15. Might be time to get Christian Clark in for Wisner and see if he can stretch the field horizontally from the RB position. Wisner was solid today, but just got what was blocked to get. Didn't break anything, didn't juke a LB or DB to gain an extra 10+ yds. The running backs were just decent today and yet we still ran for 166 at 4.5 per. The best thing about them was they didn't fumble. The line blocked well.
  16. We ran for 166 on 37 carries against one of the best defenses in the country in a game where our QB couldn't hit a receiver. That's elite in my book. OSU ran for 77 on 34 carries. That's getting shut the fuck down. Our DL is elite. We only lost this game because Manning was so bad today. If he has a solid day we win by 20. Both our lines won the day.
  17. PK schemed to stop the run, bracket Smith and take him out of the game, and play contain on everyone else. It worked, but our DL didnt get a ton of pressure off the edges. OSU line is decent, nowhere near the "best in school history" their 9.95ers were spouting, but they kept Simmons and the edges off of Sayin mostly. It is also why Day called a super conservative game that just had Sayin making quick short throws and screens all game. We absolutely abused their running game for 4 quarters. No one is running on us this year.
  18. We do have 2 elite lines. That will carry you a long way. But this looks like an unfinished project that needs work on offense. Lot of rough edges and paint blemishes to sand down. But you can see the makings of a great team if development happens over the season.
  19. No, because the last time we saw him he was horrible too. With 3 years of starting experience. I think your old brain is getting demented. You say some really stupid shit
  20. God dammit, these morons here are going to act like Cowboys fans, aren't they? Ewers had his shot at this team. Not in his first game as the season starter but in his final college game with 3 full years of starting experience. And he fumbled it away and let his OSU buddy clown him to a scoop and score TD that put it away. Enough said. Arch is the QB now and looked terrible in his first game as the season starter. Let's see if he rebounds and gets it right where Ewers spent 3 seasons getting injured then getting it wrong.
  21. Arch lost that one. Plain and simple. Have to make those throws, if he puts it right in front of Wingo that's a massive play. I had our defense guessed right, maybe even underestimated them a bit. I thought our defense would hold OSU to between 10 and 16 points. They overachiever because they held to 14 with the offense doing nothing all day. We may have the best defense in the country. But holy shit did I not see this offense and Arch in particular looking so fucking bad. That's one of the worst QB'd games I've seen in a while. Rarely do you see a QB single handedly lose a game, but I think we just saw it.
  22. I'm done, fuck this season. Glad I didn't pay Burton or Nahlin a single red fucking cent for all their obviously made up bullshit
  23. Wingo rounded that route off terrible. Easy to jump it. Throw was too far inside and maybe late. Jesus Christ of course this shit would be reality in 2025.
  24. That was early. He hit a couple of short throws and one on the run later. Plus we can run on these bitches. Their DL isnt deep and getting worn down.
  25. He woke up on the first drive this half. It was Sark that fucked that up. Let's see if he turned that corner
