  1. Babers made a point that he has very good ball skills but he has terrible return skills. He's just not good with the ball in his hands after the interception. That should have been an easy pick 6 if he immediately saw the freeway wide opening and just took off. The tight end wasn't going to run him down from behind. Instead he hesitated looking around and allowed the guy to get in position. Didn't help Guilbeau just started celebrating instead of looking to block.
  2. It has nothing to do with Alabama itself. If has to do with the committee's choices telling us what they value. Alabama's SOS was in the top 10. South Carolina's in the top 20, and Mississippi around 30. SMU was down around 60s to 70. Our schedule will be rough enough with the SEC conference play where we don't need an extra difficult game added. We need the extra guaranteed banked win. That still gives us most years 2 conference games we can slip up, the exact same number of games as it would be if we play one difficult OOC matchup. We just risk that matchup being 1 of the 2 we can afford to lose. I don't care about September. I want to see big matchups in December and January.
  3. How many copy cats are out there planning after the insurance CEO got whacked and an entire country, regardless of political affiliation, celebrated the murder? Is Elon a target of one/some of them? Is he protected 24/7/365? The country wide response to that killing is chilling and at the same time interesting. My daughter asked me about it after she heard kids at school celebrating it. HS kids aren't paying that close of attention, they heard that from their parents.
  4. We absolutely need to stop scheduling the difficult non conference games, and save one of the cupcakes for November. Committee this year proved record is more important than SOS with that SMU over Alabama, SC, and Miss pick. We'll get those marquee big time matchups back at the end of the season in the playoffs in a lot of years.
  5. https://www.vice.com/en/article/netflix-encounters-messengers-stephenville/ Fucking Republicans... Get ready. The Idiocracy is just beginning
  6. NFL is a whole different beast. What is his recruiting going to look like? Is UNC ponying up big NIL to give him weapons? Belichick loses more knowledge about coaching football every time he shits than Deion has ever had in his life. So if Deion can scrape together enough to be competitive in the shit Big 12 I don't see how this would be much different.
  7. There was no Joe Jamail to go kiss up to and stop it from happening this time. This is crazy and interesting. Football Xs and Os wise he can outcoach every person in that conference. Dabo and Manny Diaz are doing shit if Belichick gets them figured out. Just going to come down to if he can get the players there to do it. Since that's a shit conference with only 1 or 2 legitimately good teams he has a chance. Will be interesting to see what his staff looks like.
  8. No, but Osama Bin Laden accomplished his goal. I'm guessing not the exact way he envisioned, but as soon as 9/11 happened the US turbocharged it's pending decline. The fire was already set but he found a way to pour a ton of gasoline on it
  9. All purple vs burnt orange tops on the field will be a ridiculously ugly mix
  10. The portal window is much smaller this year isn't it? But damn did the spring portal work out well for us.
  11. There shouldn't be any preseason rankings at all. No preconceived notions based on teams that no longer exist, especially with the portal causing so much turnover every year. I don't think there need to be any rankings at all released until the final one, but there should be detailed notes taken along the way of how the committee reached their final ranking. Then release the playoff field and those notes all at once for total transparency. They need to announce the AP and coaches poll are absolutely meaningless and have zero bearing on anything.
  12. Wasn't she the one that was banging Golden Tate when he was with the Seahawks too? So Texas only has a visit set up with a Utah punter so far? They are playing the slow game. Just hope we do end up with the necessary 3 DTs. Everything else I think we can afford to swing big on.
  13. Maalik's main problem is his lack of mobility, and that's made all the more frustrating by his appearance. If that guy had even decent athleticism you'd be looking at a college Jalen Hurts type. He's just not anywhere near as good a passer/facilitator to make up for being unable to challenge teams with his legs. I'm thinking Diaz ushered him out to look to upgrade.
  14. I think Baxter should be expected to be back to start the season. His knee injury was a little different from a standard ACL, but dudes are coming back from those in a matter of 8 to 10 months. If Baxter is back for day 1 of fall camp it would be 12 months. Christian Clark might take a lot longer with an Achilles. I think they should replace Blue. Fumbleitis negates any talent you have. Reportedly he's been a headache for Choice in the room as well while his carries have dropped off a cliff. Blue leaving would necessitate a portal guy. I don't think you make moves assuming next season will be like this one. It's rare to lose 2 guys, 1 being your main back, to season losing injuries before a game is played. Baxter returning along with Wisner and the Blue replacement would be sufficient with Gibson factoring in and the 2 freshmen.
  15. The thing with Georgia tackles is that state cranks out so many quality ones every year they always have dudes with talent that just don't get many snaps. Have to seriously evaluate a dude coming out of there who didn't get playing time and see if he's a fit culturally. Bill Norton was one of those dudes and he's done damn well for us in his specific role this season.
  16. And these republican mongoloids still don't want to believe in evolution. It's so transparent it's embarrassingly dimwitted and stupid to fall for it. Especially from a clown like trump. But the majority of humans are nothing more than slightly elevated chimps, wallowing day to day in their own pity and self victimhood, completely unaware of a higher level of conscious existence. Just pawns waiting to be manipulated.
  17. Ironically, isn't that dude a coach now?
  18. Ohio State is maybe the most interesting story in the playoffs. They were basically guaranteed our 5 slot at minimum if they beat Michigan. Now they get Tenn in round 1 then Oregon in round 2 if they advance. Day is under the most pressure of anyone in the country. They may burn all of his couches with his family still on them if he fucks this up.
  19. There's not a more smug unlikeable Longhorn YouTuber (outside of OB which I don't watch) that this guy. He actually seems like a decent guy, but something about him just comes off shitty. I think he tries too hard to sound cool, a lot like Nahlin.
  20. It's a playoff game at home. It'll be a full house. Tickets to the SEC title game dropped a ton from when we beat aggy to 2 hours before kickoff. Could have gotten a 200s level pair for just over $100 each. These won't drop nearly that much but I think upper levels will drop under $200 by morning of the 21st.
  21. True, but if we had won on Saturday and were looking at mostly likely facing ND in the 2nd round, ND still wouldn't have a less than 1 percent chance of winning it. Provided the committee would have still dropped ND behind Georgia. We have the most advantageous draw in the field. We need to take advantage of that, and I expect we will. The talent advantage and depth over both those teams is wide up and down the roster.
  22. Who figures those odds? What's the methodology? On the surface it appears we got the best draw in the field. Have to go through the only 2 teams with a less than 1 percent chance to win it all to get to the semis
