  1. Interesting. At one point Jeff Kearney was Seth’s attorney, but now it’s Broden who really is a perfect choice for this type of case. Broden, by the way went HAM in those biker cases. Aggressive motions, working the medial, etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I get this sentiment, and it would be an awful result but “one juror” can’t cause an acquittal and there’s no way the State just lets the case go in the scenario of a mistrial caused by a holdout juror.
  3. Not sure what you mean, but Texas can keep THC illegal under its laws, in spite of any legalization in the federal statutes.
  4. My thoughts: Royer’s Cafe in Round Top makes the best apple pie on Earth, and second place isn’t even close. I don’t get the cheese thing, since pie MUST have a scoop of ice cream and there’s no way that works with a melted slice of cheese.
  5. This. When my Traeger dies, I'm just going to nut up and drop the requisite shit ton of cash for a LSG.
  6. He can’t be fired. He’s an elected official.
  7. “Couldn’t be a stampede” /= “not simply a stampede”
  8. Try a different CVS location. Many of them have Pfizer.
  9. AFAIK, the shot for kids 5-11 is not yet fully approved. The FDA has authorized it, but the CDC has to approve it, which is likely to be early next week.
  10. Is that chart stating that our penalty yardage vs OU was 28?
  11. …because the vaccinated people who get Covid won’t take up an ICU bed that other night need. The transmission rate is not the only motivation for employer mandates, but “they” don’t want to talk about that.
  12. 350, obviously. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. IDK, but I’m 99% sure that the exact same thing happened against TCU last season. Same game where they called, a minced and started to walk off a false start penalty against the TCU offense (because the RB took a step before the snap)…and then reversed the call after a SECOND long discussion and called offsides on our D. Does anyone else recall what I’m talking about?
  14. Help me understand… My neighbor just told me that she has a medical card her in Texas and with that, she gets gummies with 5 mg THC. From the Compassionate Use Law, it appears that the list of qualifying conditions has some room for creativity. What am I missing? Is the THC delta-8? She says that it’s not. I should know this as a prosecutor, but I haven’t really paid attention since I reduce/dismiss any weed charge that I get assigned to.
  15. I don’t have kids, but aren’t the Texas polio, etc. mandates basically suggestions with a bunch of easy “outs”?
  16. I do t believe it would. Also, there really is not a heartbeat at 6 weeks, in the commonly perceived sense. A heartbeat is the sound of valves opening and closing. The 6ish weeks “heartbeats” are sounds created by the ultrasound machine as it picks up merely electrical pulses occurring. * not a Dr., so this could be inaccurate.
  17. Makes total sense to me. However I do recall early on that at Cedar’a in NYC the vast majority of ling Covid stuff was being reported in the more mild cases that did not include any hospitalizations initially.
  18. I always love the Luna pics on this thread. Reminds me of my first real best friend… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. They are when they break our health care system.
  20. I'm sure that this has been covered somewhere in the 48 pages of this thread, but humor me... I currently subscribe to Hulu Live TV. I just switched my Verizon mobile plan to 5g (to optimize my vaccine chip). The plan "upgrade" includes ESPN+, Hulu (ad-supported, not live) and Disney+. I am thoroughly confused as far as getting the free ESPN+ and Disney+ without messing with my current Hulu service. Do I actually have to cancel my current Hulu service? Basically, when I go to add the bundle, when I enter my email address to set it up, it won't let me because that address is already associated with one of the services. I would SEEM like the most logical approach would be for customers in this scenario to simply choose which of the bundle they actually want added, but I can not see any way to do that, from what I'm seeing.
  21. ^ You know what can redeem In N Out fires to “average” from “god awful”? Salt. Seriously.
  22. I was so relieved when Hook ‘Em found the “golden mallet” just before the end of HT.
  23. Moderna 2nd dose on 2/27 Spike 412 Negative for infection I’m nonplussed by this news.
  24. JFC. The hand-wringing about the SCOTUS ruling is out of control. They didn’t rule on the constitutionality of the law. It appears that there was just an issue of ripeness/possibly standing. Someone will get an abortion soon. Some dickface will sue them, and from there, the case works it’s way the Court system. IF SCOTUS upholds the law on its merits, THEN I’ll be pissed.
  25. Best ketchup packets? “The fucking fuck are you talking about?” Sincerely, Whataburger awesome dipping packs of ketchup and SPICY KETHCUP.
