  1. I decided to shoot some pigs yesterday afternoon and this morning instead of does. Go out this afternoon and the bucks chase off the only 2 does that show up. Try again tomorrow.
  2. I took a rapid Covid test this morning which ended up positive. Wife’s test was negative so I’m taking one for the team and quarantining at the ranch for 10 days. I still need to take out a few does so it will be productive.
  3. Soap and water solution on the connections. If it bubbles, you have a leak.
  4. Another anecdote- MIL’s assisted living facility just tested its residents. 11 residents tested positive and 6 were ultimately hospitalized with all expected to recover. Fortunately MIL tested negative. This is the only significant outbreak at her facility. I’m not sure how you could ever keep Omicron out of there without testing everyone at the door.
  5. Son was exposed to multiple people testing positive at work this week. He gets to quarantine through New Years now.
  6. Exactly - I remember when TFG had a meeting in the White House to thank doctors and nurses for their extraordinary efforts during COVID and immediately turned on a nurse when she pointed out they had some equipment shortages.
  7. I will always have the memory of VY shoving that decision up Casserly’s ass in OT his first year.
  8. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
  9. All of the “temporary” programs should be scored in two ways: 1. based on the bills language which includes the expiration and 2. assuming the provision is made permanent. It’s not a made up concern that the temporary provisions will be extended perpetually. In fact, that’s exactly what the bill’s proponents want.
  10. I disagree with this. You have chosen to live in a high cost location. That’s on you. There is no need for the federal government to subsidize those choices.
  11. In 6 weeks can I report this thread to the state government of Texas and collect a bounty? This thread is an abortion.
  12. Eating at Mikeska’s ruined your dining experience. The maggots may have been an upgrade.
  13. The best second baseman of all time at $3?
  14. AHB already mentioned the ones which could have been prevented with an appropriate red flag law: Parkland, Sutherland Springs, Sandy Hook, etc. Certainly we won’t stop everyone short of confiscation. Have we decided it’s not worth the effort to try and come up with something that would save a few school kids a year?
  15. To me your post reads as follows: We won’t stop all of the mass shootings so let’s not try and stop the ones where it may be possible. AHB already mentioned all of the mass shooters who were on the radar of law enforcement and mental health providers.
  16. Completely agree on holding gun owners responsible
  17. I’m fairly close to the point where I’m OK with a licensing process for gun ownership treating it similar to concealed carry laws. Want to own guns? Get some education in safety and proper storage, a mental health check and get licensed. I know a lot of fellow gun owners will hate this, but we need to find a way to weed out the irresponsible and mentally ill from having easy access.
  18. I second this recommendation. I had a youth hunt earlier this year at my place run by the Texas Youth Hunting Program and it was extremely well run and managed. We had 4 kids and they took 7 does and a few hogs off the place. It was also a lot of fun to guide the hunters as well.
  19. My first deer was a spike that was originally thought a doe. I still have those tiny antlers in my home office 30 years later.
  20. Finally joined the ranks of bow hunters today. This deer went 1000 yards with an arrow through both lungs and his liver but we found him with some hounds.
  21. The extra practices would be good for the players surviving the purge.
