  1. I think TCU is (/was?) Disciples of Christ, which I believe is a lot more chill and instrument-friendly than Church of Christ.
  2. It sounds like the allegation that we had something to do with the pipeline destruction is BS... but even it were true, I'd be totally fine with it.
  3. Geez, I have a diploma from SMU and live in Dallas, but had no idea the school had left the Methodist church.
  4. Source(s): Bro trust me this time for reals!!
  5. Dallas Lutheran, I believe, which is in/near Lake Highlands
  6. [csb]A buddy of mine's company throws an annual crawfish boil, and last year had this guy out to do all the work/entertain. Not sure of he's always like this or only when he's "on," but he was a lot of fun to eat, drink, and shoot the shit with. He also scared the shit out of my 4-year-old girl when he offered to dance with her while a band played. Good times[/csb]
  7. Agreed. Would have rather kept the Pokes instead of one of the old Big 12 North schools, but whatever.
  8. You people are dreaming. As much as I'd love for OU to become a Nebraska-like has-been, they're too close in proximity to the North Texas recruiting hotbeds to become irrelevant for long. Additionally, when Nebraska left for the Big Ten, they abandoned that Texas recruiting pipeline. OU, on the other hand, will not only be able to continue to recruit Texas, but other SEC states more easily now.
  9. Have you looked at the current schools in the Big 12? We're the best academically in this conference, and it's not even close. Who's the next best, Baylor? Maybe?? And look at the back end: Tech, West Virginia, and soon-to-be Houston? They're not exactly splitting the atom...
  10. 40, but thanks so much for playing!! Been to numerous away games at both places. Obviously A&M is obsessed with us, but no one outside of Kyle, Reed, or Olsen has ever tried to pick a fight with me after a game… same can’t be said about Lubbock. A&M’s obsession with us feels more a like a bad bit at this point, and one that in recent years has been exposed to the whole country as silly and pathetic. Tech fans are hostile and toxic. Not sure how this distinction isn’t obvious to everyone.
  11. I don't know. At least A&M has its own (warped) identity. Tech's only validation is the occasional upset of a big boy.
  12. In my experience, Tech fans have always been more insufferable. The chip on their shoulder dwarfs anything coming out of College Station.
  13. Thanks, all, for the recap and Meatballs gif… Any feedback on Camp La Junta or Camp Longhorn? Apparently some of those eben have waitlists?
  14. I wasn't which board to post this in, but the wife is interested in sending our now-third grade boy to a summer camp in-state for a week or so at some point over the summer. Anyone have any thoughts recs? I did Boy Scout summer camps as a kid, but no other kinds, so I have no idea which places are preferred or should be avoided.
  15. Okay, I finished this last night and liked it, but I was dozing a little, and there's a few things I didn't really get...
  16. Thank you to this thread, and not a Southwest email or app notification, for informing me my DAL-to-IAH flight tomorrow afternoon has been canceled. American is fully booked by now, so I guess it's a boring-ass four-hour drive each way for me.
  17. Meh, Grandma Saint has been using that term her entire life 😉
  18. Why would the Big Ten want Nebraska? Or Maryland? Or Rutgers?? They care about planting their flag in new territory with AAU schools, and if ND continues to spurn them, then I could definitely see CU as a B1G candidate.
  19. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if CU would make a push to be included as a Big Ten expansion candidate. It's an AAU school, has a significant metropolitan area in the state, and would be a natural bridge between the traditional Big Ten schools and the West Coast add-ons.
  20. Please take the Israel-Palestine shit elsewhere. kthxbi
  21. What was the name of the incel who hated Texas, moved to Colorado, and had long conversations with himself? Did he take the honorable Japanese way out?
