  1. Agree. Took a friend of ours to celebrate her PhD and this place has it going on. Atmosphere, 5* service, and a true interior Mexican menu that has options that keep me going back regularly.
  2. Binged season 1 of Truth Be Told on Apple+. Aaron Paul and Octavia Spencer are seriously outstanding as is the supporting cast.
  3. The ramp is a pain but the real problem is sitting on the bridge on BI where two turn lanes exist. After turning left there is always some a$$hole in the right lane who cuts over in front of the left lane that is merging causing a back up or worse, a wreck. And having to yield on the ramp entering westbound I-20 when the lane is jammed up is truly one of the most remarkable failed engineering feats in TXDOT history.
  4. Says all you need to say without saying a word. Doggos are the best.
  5. Went to see two Oscar nominated shows in the last two weeks: The Whale-Brendan Gleeson is likely to win Best Actor, but JEBUS, this was a hard watch. The special effects used to make him look 600 lbs will probably take an Oscar too. The Banshees of Inisherin-Collin Farrell & Brendan Gleeson are great, but supporting actor nominee Barry Keoghan was OUTSTANDING and should win a statue imho.
  6. I agree, but the chocolate pie with warm filling is simply too hard to resist. God I hope this FW gem never goes away like so many have.

Top three imho: 1. Goldee's-definitely deserved the #1 ranking in Tx Monthly, but prepare to stand in LONG lines if you arrive after 8am. Brisket beyond compare. 2. Panthercity Barbecue-now has a building and outstanding in brisket, ribs, sausage. 3. Hurtado-recently opened on 8th avenue in FW, but have only been to Arlington location on Division. Honorable mention: Heim on White Settlement-better service, parking, and overall quality of product than their Magnolia location.
  8. Also one on East Berry which became a barbecue sammich place years ago.
  9. Welcome. There is a solution to your drinking problem and a number of us that will help you going forward. Glad you are here and look forward to seeing what happens in your life in 2023.
  10. WHY? It's only been 83 years!!😜
  11. There are a shit ton of angry TCU fans who are now scrambling to get a flight to Phoenix for the CFP after their flights were cancelled. Houston, Austin, and any other city is what friends have reported but rental cars are likely all gone as well. Herb Kelleher must be turning over in his grave watching his once proud little airline circling the drain like this. While I've never had an issue with them, this sudden tsunami of cancellations, delays, overworked customer service reps, pilots, flight attendants may well force them out of the market.
  12. Winner of the PantherCityHorn post of the day.
  13. Only once when friends took us there and bought the meal. Haven't seen a reason to return based on that visit.
  14. I bought a package of the choice NY strips this week and grilled one last night. After choosing ribeyes for years, I found this steak to be my new favorite and will be buying them going forward. Love the fact that the FW COSTCO opens their doors 15-30 minutes early during holidays which makes parking, getting what I need, and being home in less than an hour a bonus.

  16. Sent you a message. Hope to hear from you.
  17. The wife and I go on Tuesdays when they open and the first thing we get are the ribeyes. Buy them four to a pack, cut them in half due to their thickness, and steak Sunday is set for the month. The butchers at COSTCO here in FW are very helpful and have always been willing to do special cuts when asked.
  18. Well said. This location and the one at 35/28th street were both in rotation back in the day. Their calf fries were definitely an acquired taste but one that never disappointed.
  19. Maybe Ed got wise and put shock collar on Sasha.
  20. Our Florida based home insurance company went tits up in September. Surely they will refund the premium back to our escrow account for the last two months (yeah, RIGHT!). Went back to my old reliable Texas Farm Bureau and look forward to smooth sailing.
  21. That has depth-some of my sponsees will be hearing this in the coming days. Thanks.
  22. Now THIS IS HOW YOU SURLY and win the internets for a day. Has kind of a Mel Gibson Braveheart ring to it, yes?

The meat coma is not to be trifled with!
  24. We sat in section 209 on the club level after friends tested positive and provided tickets. When it was 24-7 and Spencer Sanders was making the TCU defense look clueless, I was sure that the game had been decided. Sonny Dykes has TCU playing until the last whistle and they forced their will on Okie Lite in the fourth quarter to tie the game up. Thought it was a mistake not going for two because the OSU defense was spent and ripe for another Duggan miracle. Success breeds success and the Frogs got another win in a game that should have been lost-they will be a stern test for Texas when they come to Austin I believe. The worst part of the day was sitting in Lot 3 for over an hour and NOT MOVING TWO FEET when leaving the stadium, something that should be addressed by TCU and FWPD.

GTFO!!!! Fried yardbird is not filet mignon and that is price gouging at it's finest. Hopefully the market will rebel and ignore this horseshit pricing.
