  1. On your mom I peeda. Or something like that.
  2. Nice sentiment there by our leader. Jesus.
  3. Nice Roubaix, its not over your head. My first serious bike was a Roubaix, in October 2011. They say to get a bike that makes you want to ride, and that surely did it. I still have that as my bike for hills, thought just about everything on it - wheels, drive train, etc have been switched out. For the flats I have a Venge. I see Specialized just put out their S-Works Tarmac redesigned for disc brakes. Bike Mag says that now is the best racing bike made. For 11K it can be yours.
  4. Muslim dude on M. Joe just went all Brisket; says the fundamental problem underlying Trump is that the US governing class is revealed as a nation of cowards. Add to that the notion we get the government we deserve... Trending?
  5. I don't see it as the cops' duty to enforce whatever claims the starbucks manner may make. What gives the starbucks manner the inherent civil authority to take this police action? Why can't the cops come in and judge the situation, then act in proportion to what they find? I think that is their job.
  6. Glad to see this topic made its move over to this board.
  7. Steamboat - thanks for those pics. Love the Freddie King poster. I think I earned a couple of minors with my hours at the Armadillo. Afternoons in the beer garden, evenings inside at the show.
  8. Good congressional health care for that.
  9. Looks like Zuckerburg's, now that you mention it.
  10. Looks like Kelly got to him today.

One of the best days of that headline writer's life
  12. Didn't approve of MB and SN joining the band back in 75, just didn't fit with the tradition of the 3 prior frontmen. But over time I had to grudgingly admit that Buckingham had plenty of artistry in him. Really a ton more than the rest of the writers, which wasn't that hard. Still, some impressive, if pop, stuff, over the years. I recall reading a Rolling Stone article (remember when, if you were hip, you had that and Texas Monthly?) right after the romantic break all those years ago, profiling LB, and he was at that time quite the alcoholic. Goes with the sensitive artist thing, I guess.
  13. I saw any analysis maybe 10 days ago, some tv panel type, that went the D's had to garner 55.5% of votes, nation wide, as a proxy to get a one seat majority in the house. That is, they need an 11 point generic gap to win. That is a hard fact to absorb. If true.
  14. Too late for this, but... those "3 questions" are not life's questions, but are a religousized version of what were once held to be the 3 central questions of classical philosophy. The more neutral versions are: - Where am I from (what is my origin, what is the world)? - What should I do (ethics)? - What can I hope for? Decent questions, at least, and these preceded christianity by 500 years.
  15. Nothing quite like rotating the crank to feed that OC monster, at least that's been my experience. I'm lucky to have good road riding routes available. Just coming out of rotator cuff surgery, after 5 weeks off the bike, and about a year not able to do planks. Its nice to be on the other side of that, but the fitness hole is going to take all summer to climb out of. I've committed to a metric century with 2500 ft elevation in 4 weeks. I'll be taking that in from way back, I guess. Great looking bike, 650.
  16. Except for the pilot, I really like the show, and admired the perspective of its creators. A really vicious satire on societal trends.
