  1. Those suck nearly as much as his political beliefs
  2. Good info on the barrel. Maybe I shouldn't have got the 2-liter to make sure it fits in our garage fridge. Oh well. Most of the online aging recipes I've seen for the Negroni don't mention keeping the vermouth cool. One I found said age it for at most a month or so and then run it through a coffee filter into a container that can be kept (and refrigerated) indefinitely. I assume they're using Carpano Antica at Triozzi? Can I readily find it at Spec's or Pogo's or Total Wine? I was going to sneak out to pick up some campari and vermouth this afternoon. (EDIT: Looked at the menu and it appears they use Cocchi di Torino.)
  3. Same. Can't remember if you've made it by Via Triozzi yet. By far the best Negroni I've ever had. In fact, in the last five minutes I just ordered a 2-liter white oak barrel for the house so I can try and age a Negroni like they supposedly do. It brings the "tartness" down.

  5. The only "tie" to S1 is the character who was related to MM's Rust Cole, right?
  6. Sorry -- it was the island in the kitchen. Saw that typo a few days ago and was too lazy to edit.
  7. Just like with the Orange Edgelord, the GQP had a chance to fire this POS into the sun and (guess what?!) failed to do it. I'm willing to bet Moscow Mitch wishes he'd handled Trump's second impeachment differently now.
  8. Finished up Episode 2 today during lunch. Not sure what to think about this just yet. The camper threw me off a bit at the end. I watched the first half the other night after several margaritas at dinner and was too tired to finish so picked it up today. Maybe I missed something in the first half -- not sure why they were looking for Clark's trailer.
  9. Yeah, it was Hookem.com or something like that. There wound up being message boards for each Big 12 team.
  10. Jesse Watters is going to get himself (and Fox) in a lot of trouble somewhere down the line. He's not just an idiot -- he's a reckless idiot.
  11. Didn't deserve a nomination or a chance to win? Because it doesn't have a chance to win.
  12. Hell, Gerwig SHOULD get nominated for making a movie about Barbie remotely interesting and entertaining. That was a hell of a trick.
  13. They were getting divorced whether they "opened" up their marriage or not. Amen. A second cousin of mine is involved in a throuple. I'd never heard of this before it was brought up around the dining room island when I was deep into the wine one year at the family Xmas get-together. He was in a relationship with two girls at that time. I nearly spit my wine out in surprise. So you have to dote on two different women and all that AND there weren't threesomes?!?! I feel like you're maybe missing the best part. However, he has now since gotten involved with a throuple with another man as the third. They live in separate houses on the same property and there is a child involved. I have no fucking clue which of them is the biological father. Hey, I'm no kink-shamer. If that works for you, by all means go and have a good time. I just know personally I could never make it work on my end -- unless there were threesomes (not the Devil's variety either /wink).
  14. I think it was discussed further up the thread but Helberg in Waco that just had a fire serves a killer smoked chicken. Best I've ever had. I think they flash-fry it after it comes out of the pit to crisp it up really nice. It's terrific. There must be some difference because Vaughn knows about Aaron's Beard win. Also, Rodney Scott won a James Beard Award shortly after Aaron.

Her reasoning made no sense. She said it was going to become a regular menu item in the next week or two so I should pick a regular dish that isn't going to be replaced? Confusing.
  16. Excellent breakdown. Kind of seems like The Athletic guys were making a concerted effort to be contrarian.
  17. Basically, I've just been peeking in at this thread and checking boxscores. I'll watch a few mins here and there if the game is on up here in Dallas but I have to admit I was a little surprised to see all three Athletic writers pick Chet Holmgren over Victor for ROY at this point. Victor's PER is better but Holmgren's VORP is higher. Victor's raw numbers are much better but Holmgren has a much better supporting cast and isn't the focal point. I also have seen that Victor is getting into a serious groove and could wind up moving past Chet in the second half of the season. In nine January games, Victor is averaging 24.8 points and 9.1 rebounds in 25.3 minutes per game.
  18. Genius level analysis there by Catturd.
