  1. Me neither but Felony Fueled Fuckathon is fantastic Friday alliteration if not a terrific name for a hardcore band.
  2. Let's not worry about taking the guns at all at this point. Let's start with just making it harder for people under the age of 25 to purchase high-powered killing machines. Increase the min age, institute mandatory waiting periods, do a deep dive on these people trying to purchase these weapons. Red flag laws. Track the weapons after they're purchased. When you give the gun to someone, or sell it, it needs to be documented. Get caught with an undocumented weapon, you receive a citation.
  3. I forgot to mention the suicide angle in my previous post. I feel extremely bad for people who get to the point where suicide is the final decision that they make. My best friend in the world killed himself 4-5 years ago and I also had another close HS friend do the same not long after. It fucking sucks. But most suicide victims do not also take innocent victims with them. That's a HUGE component to this.
  4. Good thing the GOP/GQP have myriad other abhorrent policy positions -- or perhaps better started, non-policy positions -- to choose from. Voting against R's these days is far from a one-issue vote. News flash, we'd like to ALL of these things but you know well and good that one party doesn't support any of the shit you mention, or does NOTHING to actually put any of that into action. I'm not a "ban all guns" guy. I definitely don't think every Tom, Dick and Harry American should be able to own AR-15 style weaponry. But I'm sensible. You can't win every game on the schedule in the very first game.
  5. That's about the moment I realized he was a complete fuckstick.
  6. Isn't this the kind of official stuff the governor of a two-bit state like Arkansas does? But maybe this was more of an intimate affair for just her and some of her friends/family. The other shit described further up the thread is far more egregious IMO -- such as personal travel to Europe on private planes, $1400 payments to obviously-bogus businesses, etc.
  7. The Program is just terrible. Had no idea it was done by the Major League guy. Major League is light years better. The first season is absolute magic. The entire show is good but S1 is as good as TV gets. It's fantastic.
  8. And he will still serve out his term, voting R the entire way. Awesome.
  9. No, you're probably right. Case-in-point -- I will not buy Blue Bell ice cream under any circumstance.
  10. Oh, cool, cool. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/nov/15/mike-johnson-separation-church-state-misnomer
  11. I thought that was the briefest of "partnerships," lasted all of a year or so and ended many years ago.
  12. It's my understanding you can cancel at any time. Or maybe that's just people who have put a deposit down on one. Not sure if that's the same as pre-ordering. The guy I know who has one is a very successful aggy but he's aggy all the same. I asked him if he was mental in not cancelling immediately and he said he wanted to see one first.
  13. You don't need to speak Spanish to make in and out of La Michocana. I haven't been in awhile but I loved their fajita marinada. I'd get it and bring it home to grill myself and accept all the compliments. That shit melts in your mouth. Now I've gone and bought a big jug of that red dust that they use to marinade and have used it a couple of times. I think they marinated in that dry rub and pineapple juice overnight, something along those line. And it's glorious.
  14. John Oliver's campaign to have the Pūteketeke crowned as "Bird of the Century" in New Zealand was successful! (BTW, NZ crowns the Bird of the Century ever year.) https://www.cnn.com/videos/world/2023/11/15/exp-new-zealand-bird-of-the-century-john-oliver-puteketeke-rdr-111503aseg2-cnni-world.cnn
  15. Dabo’s current team also isn’t playing for Jack shit this year. He could make the move as soon as the regular season ends. I think he’d be a colossal failure at aggy too.
  16. Haven’t made it out there but I order Perini Dry Rub religiously and use it on just about everything.
  17. Am I missing some sarcasm? I Googled and it appears that 7% of living Americans have served in the military so if you're telling me 10-20% of the Jan 6 attackers were veterans, that's something, right?
  18. The proverbial dog caught the proverbial car. Now it doesn’t know what to do with it.
  19. That's good. One of our good friends is from Phoenix. Up until last year, she was living in St Louis and working for a US Congresswoman representing that part of Missouri. Our friend left DC and moved back to Phoenix. She's pretty plugged in politically and thinks POTUS for 2024-2028 could be decided by Maricopa County. I haven't checked math or reached out to Steve Kornacki to confirm, though.
  20. Some are dumb, I guess. More than anything, it's just an inexact science at the end of the day.
  21. Pretty sure he doesn't want to fight the head of the Teamsters. They have a history of making people "disappear."
