  1. I'd bet if there were grass or pebbles 3 feet past the white line on turn 10 no one would be getting a penalty there and Lewis' car would decide to stay on the track
  2. Can't find a one to drive 3 monitors, but this one claims to drive 4 https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-USB-HDMI-Adapter-Type/dp/B09BJWGPXR/ref=sr_1_17_sspa?c=ts&keywords=USB-to-VGA%2BAdapters&qid=1687757668&s=pc&sr=1-17-spons&ts_id=3015403011&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.18630bbb-fcbb-42f8-9767-857e17e03685&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9tdGY&th=1
  3. Way better than walking dead. Bear is good too.
  4. Played in the Aria PLO8. Jammed with AQ82, get called by AK83, flop a Qd7x5x, turn 6d, gives me the low, all I have to do is avoid a 2 K or diamond to scoop, avoid 2d and I get at least half the pot, and boop river 2d. Really pissed about this one more than any of the other bad beats this week as the table was pretty weak and we weren't far from the money.
  5. Did a little blackjack tour around downtown. Went to Freemont first. Got absolutely drilled. Lost 14 of the first 15 hands. Deck got huge in the positive direction, lost every single big bet. I really don't remember the dealer getting anything but 20 or 21. Ended up down $195 in less than 15 minutes. I've never really thought I've been cheated playing blackjack, but this dealer had me thinking. Walked over to California. Lost $100 in less than 5 minutes. Pulled out another $100, got down to $30 before building it back to $125 and left down $75. Went to El Cortez. They had single deck $15 table. Table seemed normal, no 7-15 hands in a row lost like the other places. Got 2 hands out of each deck, got 3 when we were down to 2 players. Was ranging bets from $15-$50 and getting stared down from pit boss. Played for about an hour and left up $140. If you want to play poker go to MGM. Easiest tables I've been at outside of Tulsa.
  6. Yep, that's about right. Had one go out a few weeks ago. Guy came out and found no pressure in the system. Repeated over and over it would be $6k just for the coil and installation would be a few thousand so I should just get a new system. I found the part for $600 on line. Got quotes from $6k to $23k for complete replacement. Went ahead and spent $4k on getting the coil replaced. Lowest price was at alamoaustinair.com , they seemed nice and not as shady as the other places. The 6k was after some discounts that are probably no longer available as they were trying to keep their crew busy. After I got all the quotes my wife somehow remembered her friends dad owns an AC place so I went with them for the repair and they did a good job. Arrow is the name of that company.
  7. A few months before I got on the Baton Rouge they pulled into some shithole in the Caribbean. 2/3 of the crew were off the boat getting drunk when a storm approached that the captain decided he'd rather be under the ocean for rather than tied up to a shitty pier. So they ran around the island getting everyone, missed several and got ready to head out. Watch stations were determined in a "how much have you drank" draft. How much have you had? 3 beers? take AEA. 8 long island iced teas? go to bed. 7 beers? phone talker in maneuvering.
  8. We'd always joke about the dive/surface ratio on the boat. There was one chief who early in his career was on a boat with a guy who had been assigned to both the Scorpion and Thresher, the only two nuclear boats the US Navy has lost. He happened to be on leave when they each went down. He said when they would be figuring out how to fix something or were talking about some system the guy would walk by and say "That's just like the Scorpian's" or "There's only two boats in the navy that have that layout, the Thresher and the Scorpion"
  9. All you people talking about how many dives did it do, that's not really important. What's important is you keep your dive/surface ratio at 100%.
  10. If you decide to total out the car just put an ad on craigslist and list it as totaled and price it at $500. You'll get 3-5 junkyards to answer the ad and they will all say if you don't sell it for $500 I'll give you $300. They will bring a wrecker and it will be gone in no time.

  12. Who has more body mass left, those guys or the sub passengers?
  13. It’s a jumbo fisher price dumpster fire
  14. Ocean is pretty quiet down deep. we picked up a Russian boat off the coast of Africa when we were just off the coast of Virginia.
  15. Had a guy with a Slavic accent across the poker table from me Monday. I managed to not say anything. I did hear a guy on Sunday say something to the affect of “bunch of Russians were laughing it up last night at x, acting like their country isn’t at war”. He wanted to kill them.
  16. My wsop experience is in the same ballpark as my theory about the sub
  17. I was thinking about what the worst thing that could happen, what if a pinhole leak sprung, shooting a 5000psi water jet through someone’s chest, causing them to keel over, causing the jet to cut them in half, revealing a still beating heart, spraying guts all over the inside, then slowly filling and pressurizing the craft, killing everyone over the next hour or so while they are swimming in someone’s guts.
  18. In vegas playing poker so just now catching up on this thread. This is a great video and he has many of the same questions I did. And yes, he is strait out of central casting for a sonar operator. Looks just like our entire sonar room.
