  1. 5 great things TAMU could have done with their money instead of hiring Jimbo" 1. Annual Expenditures for Palau ($99.5 million) The Republic of Palau is located in the Pacific Ocean and has a population of about 21,000. Primary industries include tourism, craft items, construction, and garment making. For 2008, which is the latest year when figures are available, its expenditures were $99.5 million against revenues of $115 million, which netted a surplus. (This is according to the CIA World Factbook.) Maybe Palau can send some of its budget experts to the U.S. government for consultation. 2. "Portrait de L’Artiste Sans Barbe" ("Portrait of the Artist without Beard") by Vincent Van Gogh: ($98.5 million) Though originally auctioned off for $71.5 million in 1998 by Christie’s, New York, this 1889 impressionist painting is estimated to have an adjusted 2011 price tag of $98.5 million. It is considered the most expensive of the artist’s recently auctioned paintings. 3. 13 Miles of Interstate Highway ($100 million) A four-lane divided urban interstate runs about $7.5 million per mile, according to the Florida Department of Transportation. This includes a closed 22-foot median with barrier walls and 10-foot shoulders inside and out. So spending $100 million buys about 13.3 miles of highway. 4. High-Tech Roller Coaster ($105 million) You won’t need a lot of space if you build a 3-D simulator ride like the Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. Though your coaster car bucks and rolls, the scenery around you also moves, putting you in the middle of the action, without needing long tracks or tall loops. And if you tire of the current offering, you can always reprogram your ride to something new. 5. 28 Commercial Wind Turbines ($98 million) If you’ve ever wanted to live off the grid, then a commercial wind turbine can supply 2.5 megawatts of power at $3.5 million each, according to Windustry. Using 28 of them can produce enough energy to power between 16,000 to 21,000 homes cleanly for about a year. This will make you popular in your neighborhood.
  2. fragrances My legal assistant has breathing issues and cologne, perfume or scented lotions and shit can put her in the hospital. We have signs on our doors, tell clients when we set appointments and put in our emails telling folks not wear fragrances. Some just blow it off and we have to tell them to leave and reschedule or figure out a way to keep them and their choice of funk out of my assistant's lungs. No along comes this vile shit https://www.amazon.com/TYLER-Glamour-Laundry-Detergent-Maintenance/dp/B002GDZD8S/ref=asc_df_B002GDZD8S/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=216559542401&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17722287368826191025&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1015109&hvtargid=pla-378560610606&psc=1 I was on the tennis court the other day and someone who parked five courts away got out of their truck and I could smell that shit. I get a little cologne when you are going out for an evening but damnit, you don't need a 1/2 of bottle of any shit.
  3. Just got back. First team event I've been to other than the Tavistock cup. Of course Tavis was for fun and totally different set up. It was difficult to follow except on Sunday. Didn't think before hand that there would only be four matches going on at anyone time and everyone would be on those four groups. It got a little dicey yesterday. We eventually camped out on 16 (which plays as 18th hole normally) and saw some great stuff but we were board watching to see what was going on. We thought it was going to be rout but the match was closer than the final score. Though I'm a Gator, Kisner was funny as shit. He said, "there's nothing these guys can do to hang with me tonight. I've never seen a better group of golfers and worse group of partyers". I think Max tried to keep up with him. This morning Max's twitter said, "I'm ill".
  4. Did anyone you go all Harvey Updyke on the bammers after the game? https://www.wbrc.com/2022/09/12/groundskeeping-issue-poisons-ross-bridge-golf-course/
  5. Sunday River in Maine. We went there for a golf trip last weekend. I have never been skiing on the east coast but that looks like place worth trying. 2340' of vertical. Really good trail layout. Doubt it is crowded at all. Owned by the same folks who own Big Sky and Stowe. They are doing a TON of new real estate development and ski enhancements including a 8 person lift. We talked to a couple from Boston who said they just bought some real estate for a home and they love it because it is low key and they don't get a lot of New Yorkers. Gotta love the NYC v. Boston hate
  6. Sunday River golf course was hard AF. Nice resort that is definitely on the upswing. They are doing a ton of new construction. Ski layout looks awesome. They need some summer dining options at the resorts. I think next time we will do more coastal time and try to find golf in that area. We met some folks from Boston who said they just invested in some real estate there and one major draw was "there aren't a lot of New Yorkers"
  7. Headed there tomorrow Golf at Cape Arundel Golf Friday then to Sunday River for more golf

    Wine

https://www.wine-searcher.com/find/de+st+cosme+hominis+fides+gigonda+rhone+france/2007/usa-fl-y I like my Rhone wines with more of a blend of Mourverde and Syrah.
  9. Maybe Studio 54 golf and the PGA are just like "pro wrasslin" generating hate and emotion to raise their sport. Now I don't believe that for one minute but...
  10. BAGHDAD BUBBA Watson joins studio 54.
  11. So FIGJAM is teeing off today at the Trump Studio 54 tournament and someone yells, "do it for the Saudi Royal Family". Jersey boys getting on dat ass.
  12. I guess if Barkley had signed it could be called Studio 54...
  13. Barkley said NO. Good on him! https://nypost.com/2022/07/29/charles-barkley-ends-contract-flirtation-with-liv-golf/
  14. Don't know if I would go there if I were the GWD#54. https://www.golfwrx.com/689527/is-there-a-cabal-there-greg-norman-fires-ominous-shot-at-fred-ridley-and-the-masters/
  15. Now that the Studio 54 disco golf league has more players than slots, it could be interesting if the did relegation like they do in kickball.

    Women Who Rock

Man did this make me feel old. Seeing how all the women rocker chicks aged was shocking. Shocking in part because the same thing has happened to me. https://epix.com/series/Women-who-rock?gclid=Cj0KCQjwof6WBhD4ARIsAOi65ajC6Wk5lFYEkpFpyBq6oL-9Bc0cw1oQYrPvzht5A9bX8EYWu2s8JNsaApsqEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
  18. Everyone says Pogacar is the attacker and Vengegaard is the bait. Be nice to see Venge take it to him tomorrow.
  19. Unless something blows up in the Pyrnees looks like like it will come down to the stage 20 TT. Vingegaard lost 8 seconds on the first TT to TP. This one is three times as long.
  20. best roast of a 54 golfer I've seen Poults you will be teeing off 16 for the 8:00 am shot gun. Don't forget to pick up your tee gift .
