  1. Yes, I know. See previous post about being drunk for the 2nd time in one day.
  2. Well the award night idea was a bit optimistic for NOLA on New Year's. I transferred UR points to Hyatt. Am I crazy that Hyatt points have a lot better value than other hotel brands? 15K points for a $400 room. Depends on dates of course. This weekend it's 15K points for a $150 room.
  3. I'm a man, 43, and have never been to New Orleans for some reason. Fixing that for the Sugar Bowl. Just read the entire thread. NYE reservations are drying up pretty fast for the hot spots mentioned. That and it's hard to tell what menus will be for that night...I presume a lot of prix fixe menus that aren't published yet.
  4. Every year I start reading and wonder if it will still be funny. Then I get here and laugh the rest of the way.
  5. Yes, salty and drunk for the 2nd time that day!
  6. Very racist.
  7. The show tonight was awesome and the band was on point. Felker was smart enough to lay low on Oklahoma talk. He said he'd skip a story about where he grew up before one song and when he introduced the band he quietly said "Norman". But between the encore the bass player sings a song and says "you guys see any good football games today?" It drew mostly boo's and I held middle finger up the whole song. Fuck that guy. ou still sucks.
  8. Wife and I have had Hyatt card a little over a year now so each have a free night up to Category 4. Any tips on maximizing value on these or just use as needed. New Orleans for Sugar Bowl doesn't seem like a bad way to use them...
  9. Brillant. Pregame beer is now cheaper at the drum than Scholz.
  10. Yeah, Fran, shut the fuck up to your NBA friends.
  11. Too soon?
  12. Tailgate last year, I had a little charcoal grill where it wasn't totally "indirect" and since drinking a lot I forgot to rotate and legs were way ahead of the breasts, so a quick slice and the leg quarters came right off and went to far side and I rotated the rest. So, ideally this wouldn't be necessary but it is a useful improvise method if need be.
  13. I do this every time my wife asks me to open something.
  14. Watched the series over the last 3 months. Really good to great show. They really couldn't have ended it much better and loved how the last line(s) of the show led straight to the "thank you harlen county residents" credit. I thought for sure if I searched youtube I'd fine some compilation of all the times Boyd says hi or welcomes Raylan as he walks in, but no. Would be hilarious to hear over an over "Well Raylan Givens! To what do I owe this most unexpected surprise?!" Also the show is very bad for somebody trying to cut down on bourbon consumption...
  15. Man if ABW had to remove the RV's from Heisenberg cans, then that can't last long..
  16. Hell I go tree fiddy
  17. You guys are behind. I've had 4 at scholz Garten before the two basketball games and a sixer at home.
  18. My son is applying to UT this year. I doubt he gets in. (not humble brag)
  19. Anybody know what this is about? I guess I'm good for the Nov 30th show in Austin.
  20. Yes, can we get rid of all the pinned threads on tapa?
  21. So even the first humans to enter America knew that Texas was the place to be. Makes sense...
  22. Don't think so. But yeah, seems they usually arrive by now.
  23. I got home and the wife has 3 pitchers of boiled water in the fridge. Tastes like water. This shit isn't that hard. Now I'm drinking Axis IPA...not boiled.
  24. Is this for real? I've never heard of this method. Yes. And do the same for when you spatchcock your turkey in a few weeks. Hmm, do we have a spatchcock thread yet...
  25. Just watched this. Pretty damn funny. The opening dad/son song and the summer of 1353 (recorder solo rocks) were my favorite new to me ones. Part Time Model is one of my favorites. At least it ran during the credits...
