I figured he would do everything he can to drive Vegas next year. He may have just given up though. He’ll definitely have jobs open to him if he stops driving.
I had classes with Lance Gooden when at UT. Always liked him, was a good dude. Hate to see where he has taken his career. Also, what is Mattress Mac doing there?
Well, put me on the list. I had COVID a month ago. I had some residual symptoms like a cough and some fatigue, so I chalked it up to Long COVID. Mid last week, I had some other random symptoms, came to Seton and they diagnosed me with leukemia.
I was immediately admitted and have been here ever since. Started a 7 day Chemo protocol on Tuesday. I then have to stay here for a few weeks as I will have zero immune system. They’re wiping all of it out and hopefully it rebuilds. So, I’ll be in the same fucking room for 4+ weeks total. It’s fucking crazy. So out of nowhere.
I’m 40 and in good shape, so I hope that helps my long term chances. Sounds like 50/50 I’ll need a bone marrow transplant. They’ve also had really big advances in targeting certain leukemia types the last 2-3 years, so that’s good for me as well
i have a wife and two kids (5 and 2) at home and not being able to come home to see them every day is heartbreaking. I really hope this regiment goes well and I can do some out patient care in the future as needed.
Due to overcrowding and me getting old, I swore off this area a few years ago. Are there any plans on doing anything with the roads over there? Or just develop every square inch and damn the torpedoes?
What a season of TV. Delivered all the way through A couple of narrative choices out of convenience at the end but overall, great stuff. I don’t know if there is a more entertaining show out there.
Alright, we're in a pretzel here...
We just got notice that someone in my 2 year old's summer school (8 kids, 2 teachers) popped positive. School is 3 hours, with 1 hour outside. When inside, they all wear masks. Not a massive amount of exposure.
The issue is, my wife and I are (currently) leaving Friday for a week long sailing trip in Spain for her best friend's 40th. Not exactly a short distance away. My parents are coming in tomorrow to watch the 2 and 5 year old for the week. My parents are boosted and had COVID around New Year's.
So many thoughts and scenarios. Is it fair for my parents to watch them if he was exposed? Small chance, but what if he gets a bad case? He may not even get it at all! Are we being selfish pricks if we go?
Fuck COVID.
Why the fuck is Boston just jacking up 3’s. You’re down 3. Calm down. And there goes Steph being Steph. What a player. Going to miss him when he’s gone.
I read an article a while back in GQ or Esquire on this. There is some shitty office in WV that has gun records (assuming stores send in data, which they often do not). They were not allowed to digitize the files, so there were boxes and boxes of paper records that they would have to comb through if they were trying to identify a gun.
So, when you see them call in a serial number on your favorite shitty network cop show, know that that report does not come back instantaneously like they show. It takes weeks to get that info back.
After 2+ years, COVID finally came to our family. My wife popped a positive this morning, the first one of us. Myself and the 2 kids (5 and 2) are still negative. Our (26 year old, in shape) nanny is too scared to come in and the kids can't go to school the rest of the week since they've been exposed. Just me and the kids the rest of the week. Going to be a great time. Send booze.
