  2. Exactly. So we're on the same page. It's been established that Herman probably has the emotional intelligence of a fifth-grader, so it makes sense. Yeah, they’ve missed five days or so at this point. That should tell you it was clinically significant, even if it’s just precautionary at this point. I've seen patients get rhabdo or heat stroke just by being outside for too long under poor hydration and mild exertion. Serious dehydration is not hard to manifest in extreme heat and humidity like they were in, especially under intense physical exertion. Also, "personal issue" is often a guise in sports for "medical issue." Of course, I'm just speculating, but this is a pretty simple philosophical razor here. I'm with @closetojumping on this one.
  3. Proper hydration and fueling for elite athletes is “taking care of your body.” I wouldn’t read too much into it. As much as we make fun of Herman for his pee chart, it was correct. The labeled statements were just poorly done.
  4. Couple more notes (Monday afternoon) - Bobby
  5. One key training camp takeaway for every level of the Texas defense - Jeff Howe

  7. It would be very nice to get back to the days of high-stakes postseason clashes, a la 2003 & 2004. You know, just with outcomes like '04 and not '03.
  8. BREAKING: Andre Cojoe Out for Season with Knee Injury (Monday 12:27 p.m.) By CJ Vogel 3 minutes ago Texas RT Andre Cojoe to Miss 2025 Season A significant blow to the depth of the offensive line has hit the Texas Longhorns. Texas right tackle Andre Cojoe will miss the entirety of the 2025 season with a knee injury according to sources. Texas offensive coordinator and OL coach Kyle Flood stated Cojoe and Brandon Baker would be in competition this fall for the starting right tackle position. This is especially unfortunate considering Cojoe entered fall camp in the best shape of his Texas career. A very unfortunate situation for Cojoe and we wish him a speedy recovery.
  9. Monday - Bobby "The team gets going in full pads for the first time this morning. Practice starts right around 9am."
  10. Key year loading: 2024 recruiting class (Monday 6:50am CST) - Gerry 2024's class appears to have a very high hit rate, similar to 2023. This is how you build a program.
  11. Chip Shots: Texas WR DeAndre Moore Jr. wants it all - SEC and national titles, records, and Biletnikoff Award "First and foremost, I want to win the natty [national championship]," Moore said. I like how Chip spelled that one out for the uninitiated lol
  12. Horns247 Staff Roundtable: Who has stood out most in the first days of Texas Longhorns' training camp Eric Henry is a man after CTJ's own heart.
  13. OTF Dump. Not looking back to see if any of these have already been posted, but I don't think they have. Enjoy: Sunday - Bobby Another practice note - Bobby One key Texas training camp takeaway from each position group on offense - Jeff Howe
  14. Only 3.0 back of the Blue Jays and the first Wild Card team after the Yankees FAFO against the Marlins.
  15. Key notes from Texas players after second practice of fall camp (247)
  16. You missed the word defense, but we can infer. This certainly portends well for Texas regarding August 30th.
  17. His evaluation and talent development would show it. No. 3 ranked 2023 recruiting class: It's a hit (Sat. 9:55am CST) - Gerry 15 out of 25 contributing in a meaningful way (in the two deep). 18 of 25 still in the program.
  18. Moody being (consistently) empty wouldn’t be a problem if the team was really good. I’d wager Terry was a large part of the lack of enthusiasm. Beard had that place rocking. Hopefully we get the typical first-year coach excitement boost. An offensive-minded coach like Miller should help the cause, as well. Either way, it’ll be much less embarrassing as compared to when FEC was barren during Shaka’s worst seasons.
  19. The Pirates’ org really pisses me off. This was a huge salary dump for them. They routinely seek substandard returns just to keep their payroll down. The owner doesn’t care one bit about winning. It’s blatant profit maximization over competitiveness. Just wants to kept costs as low as possible to enrich himself. Nutting should be forced to sell. Great fans, great stadium, and they consistently get nothing. This. Just go be competitive and spend some more in the offseason.
  20. Buy Stock Now: Impactful Pieces for 2025 (Friday Early AM) - CJ This team is stacked with young talent. Friday - Bobby Good news on Shaw and some highly-ranked freshmen receiving threats.
  21. Recruiting: The latest - Gerry No major changes on the recruiting front in regard to the two remaining targets with decisions on deck. Davon Benjamin … OTF continues to believe Oregon is the leader (as of Thursday evening) ahead of Saturday’s announcement. Michigan and Texas are fighting, and the Longhorns are completely all in with the attempt. Washington and North Carolina round out the final five. Jake Kreul … OTF continues to hear more Texas chatter, as do people at IMG Academy. Oklahoma and Ole Miss round out the final three.
  22. It's the most common type of ankle sprain. It's when the ankle rolls laterally (the foot turns inwards). Same thing as when you step on an uneven surface and roll your ankle. Sounds like this was a grade 1 sprain. Not a big deal with standard recovery protocols.
