  1. Also just full of Tigers, which has always been a funny mascot for a team in the US to me. Imagine if they did. We'd stand no chance /aggy, probably
  2. Not only that, he started his career at Texas A&M...
  3. Yeah, I'm surprised they aren't throwing more sliders and breaking balls. I don't know much about Doyle's pitching repertoire (other than he has great stats on the year), but it should be obvious to opponents what we struggle with by now...
  4. MENDOZA!!!
  5. That's one way to garner some momentum when you're struggling at the plate. I'm curious if that was a sign, or on his own accord. Seems like we never situationally bunt, but players will lay one down when they notice the infield is playing back.
  6. Tennessee's ace at 68 pitches through 3.1 is very nice for us.
  7. I don’t know about everyone else, but I, for one, do not want the divulgence of these fanciful stories to end. Shit, let’s sit back and allow WWIII to take shape, Surly style.
  8. Welp. Yep, his career at A&M is over. Not that it’s that much earlier than it would have been. Yep, should have been a strike.
  9. It’s certainly a 6yo mindset. “I’ll keep playing outside until my parents call me in to stop.” Wouldn't it be amazing if Texas and aggy both made it to the final and Texas sent them home and ruined their AQ chance? That would be the ultimate analogy to the above mindset.
  10. Yep. That makes perfect sense. And likely kept it that way since they were starting early again this week. Things should change back if they make a Super. Maybe so for the Regional, but I doubt it, since they’ll be a host.
  11. They switched up the rotation (flipped Phillips and Doyle) for their final SEC series against Arkansas. Not sure why. But yes, Doyle has been the Friday guy all year until last week. Arkansas hit him hard; hopefully, we do the same. I don't care if we win this tournament, or not, but I'd like to beat Tennessee for a variety of reasons. Either way, just don't fucking get hurt, anyone.
  12. Most of this was pretty spot on, except for, “but to take a deep breath, gently turn off the TV…” Aggy typically has the emotional regulation skills (lack thereof) of a two-year-old, especially if Texas is involved. Otherwise, that was an entertaining read. There’s no way in hell, when push comes to shove, that a Texas legacy, especially one of a highly successful skill-position player, will let their kid go to A&M. J. Finley is going about this the right way with his son, but he’s not landing in College Station - especially right now due to a multitude of factors. Ain’t no way.
  13. Yep. I would like Alabama to make this a game and force Tennessee to use at least one top bullpen arm. Otherwise, it’s not really an issue for Tennessee, as Doyle has been the better starting pitcher for the Vols even though he’s the Saturday/second starter.
  14. This sentence desperately needs the help of a comma, or two. The potential food concoctions one might make based on what you typed...
  15. Thank you. She does live at possibly the premier assisted living facility in Austin. I know men typically like their one-night stands to be forgetful, but I didn't know you had a thing for women with dementia. Surly gonna surly, lulz.
  16. Same here. I was going to post about how “wtf?!” it was too.
  17. And then win the whole fucking thing in Omaha and light the whole college baseball world on fire. "We gon' run it."
  18. Can't wait to do that one day. Have to sit on the Monstah. If they can start figuring out how to win close games, that would certainly help. The AL East isn't so hot thus far. 23-24 and only 4 GB.
  19. As you should have been - great job, mom. That's fucking bullshit to take pictures of other people's kid; especially so when you don't know them.
  20. Actually kind of fun we'll likely get a team we haven't played this season (Bama or Tenn). Even better it'll be the other team's third or second game, respectively.
  21. Aggy does all the time. Although, they literally did play for one last year. However, ChatGPT has a very nice figurative and symbolic summary of their “championship spirit” and riding the coattails of the SEC: Texas A&M chasing a championship is like a boastful old cowboy strutting down a lonely trail—hat cocked high, spurs jingling loud, bragging about a gold he’s never struck, licking his lips as if every nearby strike was his own, and swearing next year’s the one, same as the last.
