  1. Just never honor a man of achievement; he has flaws.
  2. My Sundays are/were very crowded with Murdoch Mysteries (stop the world), Waco (good), Lucky Hank (woulda/coulda), From (almost-good).
  3. Okay. I don't recall reading that 'here' at the time. Rutgers-Maryland was basically one word. Outside your region A&M was the TX silver medalist and received as much attention as Michigan State does for you. Now A&M is spoken of all the time as the the team that gets the top 5 recruiting class and wins 8 games. The importance of wins can be seen in how Missouri won the SEC east with their Big1 roster. I somehow doubt their recruiting rankings could have matched Tenn/Fla/UGA.
  4. I am glad to watch it. From has maybe 3 interesting characters while Lost started with 10.
  5. So who was getting that 12th spot for the ccg if Nebraska stayed in the big12? Or would the BUG wait on Rutgers/Maryland.
  6. Right on cue on TMC today, always fun to play in the background.
  7. A 60 team league with three fugly conferences? FU off-season.
  8. I'm pretty sure the Soviets use to kick ass with maybe $2,000 worth of globe barbells on a cement floor + vitamins.
  9. the 2nd half of your list are the opposite of fun. Octopussy Robin Hood (Errol Flynn) Monty Python and the Holy Grail Mortal Kombat
  10. I saw it in the theater. Afterward my friend told me, you know that was Luke Skywalker? I said, "Weird, did he get hooked on drugs?"
  11. He's threatening someone with a dull edge sword?
  12. It even made our boards. I don't want to see it happen.
  13. Chuck defines Saul in the former's last episode. Something like, everyone who encounters you gets destroyed. It's actually every man who goes along with Saul gets killed. The women just wind up highly dissatisfied.
  14. about thirty-fiddy
  15. Mind Blown! and of course I also missed her in Malcolm X's white girl is Ellen Tigh, daughter of Dean Wormer. Kate and John Vernon.
  16. I saw Big George Foreman. It was a simple happy movie like the man. I actually thought that it had too much repetitive boxing. Much boxing history was left out. A total newbie watching BGF would learn nothing of a Don King or Mike Tyson. Also nothing of how Angelo Dundee worked with Foreman during his comeback, and quickly mentioned a grill. But it hit the other major points and was still fun to watch.
  17. Classic Dr Who. People used to pay $40 for a single VHS story of four 25 minute episodes.
  18. Well people generally don't xfer because they won the starting job. For our own Tyler Buchner it had to be a kick in the OSU that he came back from game 2 injury, started and won the bowl game, and had to step aside for a 5th yr transfer from Wake Forest.
  19. The original is near the top of my short list of Westerns sans John Wayne. 1. High Noon 2. 3:10 to Yuma
  20. It is on the channel that keeps changing it's brand. It's Encore, then Starz, then MGMSomething.
  21. If you like Lost the spiritual successor is From. They are doing a lot of the same things, both the good and the bad.
  22. Free television paid for by ads?
  23. The op-ed was vanilla and probably went through 20 drafts from an outside firm. None of the critics seem to have read it. However they are not tone deaf. Jack and Jenkins were not speaking from a position of strength. I don't see how the op-ed can be a CR indicator compared to how they just moved our Hockey from the East to the BUG.
  24. ND@SC slightly edged out the Iron Bowl this year. Partially because SC was still playoff-live.
