Leave for a week again (fuck work) on Saturday and trying to soak up some time with my girls. Got solo time with my oldest today so we’ve done pizza and froyo and park time with the pup.
while at the yogurt shop I watched her hold the door open for several people after she went to discard her trash. She’s always looking for chances to demonstrate kindness and when I see it happen in real time it makes me swell up so much I almost cry.
This hit way too close to home.
good luck @Dnaguy I’m on the same path at the moment and it fucking sucks.
Keep trying to breakthru, but know that you deserve to be happy and mentally healthy in your life / marriage / home. I’m coming around to the idea that I’ll have to make drastic changes to get to that point, but I’m still figuring it out in real time.
whatever the end result, kudos for working on yourself and making the effort. It can feel like slamming your head against a wall to make effort and see no change in circumstance, but it sounds like you know what you want.
Irish wolfhound maybe?
Awesome dog but don’t really want to pick out my daily anal fissure medication next to one.
“oh we use the same medicine on our dog’s anus! Check out his butt grapes!”
