  1. There's an easy way to make them join a conference AND standardize scheduling. 9 Conference games. anything <9 equals a loss in the rankings. Period. 2 birds, one stone and all that jazz.
  2. Classic.
  3. There are many measures of Leach's greatness, whether it was his eventual coaching tree, his innovation and influence on the game, or even his focus on academics when players still followed a 4-5 year program- in case you forgot, he had RB Edward Britton sitting at a desk on the field during practice one year for not focusing on the books. His grad rates were relatively stellar, especially compared with what he inherited in 1999. Maybe it is by definition the Leach curse, but in his last season at Tech, one which was recognized as an absolute rebuilding campaign, his team went 9-4, including the Alamo Bowl he wasn't allowed to coach. In the subsequent 15 seasons, the Red Raiders never topped 8 wins, regardless of the circumstances. IMHO, that is an additional measure of the man's legacy.
  4. The best DB many fans have never heard of, including Tech fans. Elmer Tarbox
  5. The Golden Palomino
  6. "Bryan reaching back and letting it rip." Too soon...
  7. I don't think it's that far off mentally for Abreu, and he actually might inherit some cleaner situations than he otherwise does. It's just that the BP itself isn't as deep.
  8. It means you can read the package...
  9. LOL. Every team in the world was paying players, but unicorns and bigfoot resided in Austin.
  10. Better than Trout in the regular season?
  11. Gotdam Cora wanted proof he is a bitch.
  12. Bullshit. All that meant was DKR didn't want to know about it. Translation: Find another way.
  13. Y'all show the shocker on your hand sign, so pipe down.
  14. sign banger Yainer!!!!!
  15. Hunter should have plowed the blue, just for GP.
  16. Bitchass motherfuckers. Fuck you Cora. Be a fucking man.
  17. Have read/ heard multiple accounts where Candy went to some pretty extreme measures to make sure crew and "regular folks" were taken care of, sometimes on his own dime.
  18. To that point, the distance from DFW/ CenTex/ HOU/ et al tends to be a draw for regular students. For athletes it probably isn't, especially in how affects travel for family. Then again, other minor league sports are hardly ever in major metros either.
  19. Still disappointed they changed Fort Cavazos back to Fort Hood. Richard Cavazos was a bonafide badass Texan, also the first Hispanic 4-Star General in the US Army whose exploits are so much bigger than just his rise in rank. For all of the naming shenanigans, that was actually a HUGE improvement, which was subsequently & fucking stupidly changed back to Fort Hood.
  20. You never attended school there, but you know better than those who did. Mkay. As far as that last statement, it's debatable. The time since 2009 has generally sucked on that front for Tech football. The NIL era has brought different levels of talent. The coaching? Who the fuck knows at this point? The story is still being written.
  21. I acknowledged that, if not specifically. But yeah, Tech players are paid. Tech is not a bad place to got to school, regardless of what you say. The premium is because they don't have the program/ other talent/ NFL factory status of other schools. We don't have the same discussions in basketball circles, do we? No. The funny piece in that aspect is how the big dogs keep yelping about said market. If Tech sucks so bad, then why even acknowledge it? Your great locale and program will give you a built in discount.
