  1. I agree with where you're coming from. Hell it bothered me that neither of our sons got their driver's license until they were well past their 17th birthday. I was like, "What red blooded American male doesn't want to be driving and enjoying that freedom?" In the end, ultimately, it didn't make a shit in their development. There's certainly not ONE right answer for "manly man;" but I do feel very strongly that they need to be active in SOMETHING constructive besides "sitting in the basement playing CoD." As for making fun of someone's interests/ hobbies, in our house, if you do something goofy or whatever, you're gonna get a ration of shit. The flipside of that is if you enjoy doing it and it's not hurting anyone or yourself, then go for it. Stand behind your decision. That's part of self-esteem. Physical bullying? Nope. Never demonstrated. Never accepted.
  2. Holmes struck out 15 while allowing 3 runs in 6.1 innings, 2 of them earned. The bullpen then allowed 7.

  4. I listened to y'all and followed through on S1E8 tonight. Damn, that hit different. Ready for S2. Y'all promised greatness. LOL
  5. Gus was always angling for a poke. The kiss was planting the seed for later. Keep up.
  6. I used to joke with my wife, as I would embrace her and kiss. " Our boys need to know daddy loves their momma." I was joking, as I was channeling my inner Gus McRae; but I also was not. Boys should know their dad loves their mom. It's important. What goes on in other folks' house, I have no idea. A big part of today, Father's Day no less, and my relationship with my sons, is the example I set as a husband.
  7. Porn gives us hope...that sex is possible.
  8. Adames as he's doing the miked up interview, fields a ball at short and makes the put out at first. "I'm not gonna lie That's...um...hard." I like the discussion, as they are asking him when the team found out about the Devers trade- 15 min before the game, but that'd be hard as hell to conduct an interview while you're really concentrating on work.
  9. I'd rather be on the Giants than in Boston, IMHO. Related to professional baseball and each team.
  10. Both of my Gen Z sons are married. Guess they got in before the bloom fell off the rose.
  11. They might get that many...
  12. Happy Father's Day, Dubie!!! Enjoy the scotch and the cigar!!!
  13. Tech has sucked since 2009. It hasn't been miserable for a while now. That 9-4 season was a rebuilding year and hasn't been matched since the departure of TSO.

  15. Arrozconpollo with goal #5 for the Cats!
  16. McDavid and Leon are any time at any juncture players. How bout with 12 minutes to go and a 2 goal deficit? I don't think so this time.
  17. Marchand with a crossover that would make Tim Hardaway jealous. Wow. The old man is giving fucking lessons.
  18. Shared this a while back, but given today's result, it's cool to look back to an April visit to Louisville Slugger and our hero having his own slot in his rookie season. These are billets, which are the pieces of wood before they are cut and shaped to the player's desired specs.
  19. When EDM is down, they are some bitchass cunts. Gotdam 5 people had to hit Marchand for doing his job in front of the crease. The Rat can take care of himself, but knock it the fuck off. Bennett too at the horn.

Thank you for the words of support. On the LGBTQ front, I am supportive of equal rights. Period. I think a lot of the legislation is repetitive and unnecessary, IF and only IF people( the opposers) truly believed in liberty. Alas, they do not in reality, so the additional laws must be written. I support gay marriage. I used to have issues with gays in the military but have changed. Go serve and do your thing. Again, that liberty thingy. As a neighbor, IDGAF. Two people love each other? Go for it. It's getting rarer by the day. I respect the precious nature of that relationship. Maybe that's too folksy or whatever, but that's my POV. There's a metric shit-ton of straight folks who I see out there fucking shit up, and I roll my eyes regularly. Straights certainly own no high ground here. As a co-worker, it don't make a fuck to me. I work with everyone. If you're there to do a good job, let's go. If you suck, it's not because of your sexuality. As a people leader, I helped employees get benefits for their partners when our company, while generally progressive, made it deliberately a pain in the ass to get it done before gay marriage was recognized. I have celebrated marriages, births, and sadly funerals of fellow gay employees; and in saying that, I don't mean at the break room at work, but after being invited to their place. The first time one of my employees got to introduce her wife to our team at an outing is one of my favorite experiences ever. Maybe it's a product of my growing up adopted, but I dare say some of these folks and I became family, not in the blood sense, but of the heart. There are things on which we are gonna disagree. That's called life. Fiscally I have no political party any more. There's nobody even pretending to be responsible. Socially, the right is pushing me away. Bigtime. I have shared those feelings on here, and maybe it isn't fast enough for some on here. I understand that sentiment. I'm not sure what constitutes an "ally," but I don't really care about a certain title. The people who need to know, know I have their back.
