  1. I think this goes back to the idea of equating the capabilities of the Russian tech to our own. We can make the tech and systems to identify the targets and the guidance to get that tech there to perform the surgical strike on major targets. It is becoming obvious that the Russian tech can’t. Even if you are talking a 1/2% variance in the targeting system at 300 km out is a circle 1.5 km wide as acceptable targeting. If you talking a 0.1% variance we are still saying 300 m. That is a great broad stroke weapon but is ineffectual against true hardened targets. There is a reason why the Russians are doing their precision work from close and their retaliatory terror strikes from afar…
  2. So what do you guys consider the floor of what the PAC schools would accept to not see defections? Over the air for 50%? 40%? with the rest streaming? They need to hit like 27? to be viable? 5 year GOR? I am trying to game in my head the terms that it would take to get Oregon and UW to sign on to a GOR with that has enough teeth that the other schools agree.
  3. Probably also explains a bit of why the last couple of times people took a run at him, he declined and the other DL coach still stayed. I got no ill will to the man, but the dude can’t cook a brisket worth a shit and this idea that he ever could is nauseating…
  4. So, regardless what happens now, can we all finally agree that fighting to hold Bakhmut is the straw that broke the camels back? The UKA holding the line and turning it into a meat grinder in the end led to this…
  5. So, we are officially a week out from the end of the month. As much as we talk about the Pac12 deal and how much money it is worth, what happens if July 1 rolls around and there is no new deal, either signed or in principal? The reason I ask this is that, yes the various teams keep hinting that they need to know or they will consider other options, but how much of a drop dead, shit is going down, hold onto your butts, type of deadline is it? So far, the only team that gets complete fucked on this is SDSU if things slide into July. Would the 4 corner schools be fairly pissed if nothing was figured out by July 1? Sure, but outside of looking around in a much more public approach, there really isn’t a lock down date that makes it an absolute shit is happening date. Can the P12 tell them again, we are close give me 2 more weeks and if so does that delay have any real impact on them being able to both leave the P12 and join the B12. Let’s make it more simple. What is the absolute last minute real deadline date for a team to join the B12 and be available once the P12 media deal runs out?
  6. If you like that, you should see the gifs I post… I think they will be in your wheelhouse
  7. 22.5 is really bad. 25 is bad. In comparison, the Big 12 was at 22 and moved to 31.7. So the best case is 6+M behind per year with the gap only getting worse. I can see 28 keeping schools there, but 22.5 or 25 is just not going to cut it.
  8. Im just going by the simple math and trying to determine what the already divvied-up slots are. Right now this is the described format: But if you drop the total number of conferences by 1, what happens? Mathematically that instantly guarantees 2 of the AAC, MWC, CUSA, SB and MAC. That is a big deal because then the overall pot is automatically bigger for the non-power schools by virtue of having no Pac-12. But the bigger question needs to be is the prior design was essentially 4 of 5 of the power conferences were guaranteed a spot, now does that mean the Power 4 all are guaranteed a spot? So a 9-4 B12 champion would be the required representative if they win the title game? Killing the Pac12 may force a reopening of the logic of who gets an auto spot and should it be 3/6/3 vs 4/6/2 if we lose a power conference? This is just me running out the string of possible outcomes, but killing the Pac12 prior to the 12-team CFP could be really interesting politics
  9. With the federal holiday I have been spending the off day digging for something interesting to see where thugs are. There has been all sorts of rumors the last few days that the “deal” is around 22.5 total and no real talk about carriage breakdown or online distribution percentage. Most of this is coming out of the Arizona 24/7 board, but it’s interesting to think about. If it is that low, it’s over. Teams can’t stay at that price and even SDSU and SMU might be better off letting the Pac12 die and hoping their market payout gets distributed back down the hill to the MWC and to a lesser extent the AAC. The more I think about this, the MWC is probably going to get the most benefit if that Pac12 dies. Yes, the B12 and most likely the B10 add members, but funny enough any leftovers that join the MWC would actually then be a major boon to their media deal and would drive a ton of interests and solidify the Pacific late night time slot. Yes, it would eventually level off as those schools dealt with the new reality of a MWC payout, but short term teams like OSU and WSU would be a big benefit. If the Pac12 does die, doesn’t that drop off another AQ spot in the playoffs? Essentially a big 4 plus 5 mid majors plus 3 more? So in essence 2 SEC, 1 or 2 B10, 1 ACC and B12, 1 or 2 flex team out of those 4 and the Indies and then the conf champs of the mid majors? That instantly helps the big 4 and technically increase the odds and therefore payout as a mid major…
  10. I have always been interested in the ethics of cloning and the ability to customize a synth to make it a perfect donor to the original.. Essentially you could clone a non-sentient organ bag and use that for all transplants to extend the life of the host body. The other question I have is how does bone grafts work with a perfect clone? Can you graft say a whole finger knowing that the body should not be able to distinguish the bone as foreign? At some point, would it essentially be the only thing we do not have the ability to transplant back and forth the skin and the mind... Lots of crazy questions and more interesting how that works in the eyes of the law.
  11. This is going to be absolutely wild to see what happens with the talent they had slated to come in. There is no way that they can get a legit big-name HC at this point and more importantly, why should any of those kids stay with all the uncertainty hanging over the program? Mercenaries are mercenaries.. time to see who has what leftover in the NIL bag.
