  1. This. Also, they'll keep doing it as long as it works. The humbling of Bama by Clemson is the perfect time to start hammering them. As long as Bama won the last game, they could make excuses. NOW is the time to break the SEC myth.
  2. Rhule was connected to openings because he did CPR on Temple and got them back and is doing the same thing at Baylor.
  3. Adding on a couple of the other characters: The Schofield Kid and Delilah. The kid believed all the outlaw stuff until he tried to do it, and pretended to be one until he actually became one. The Schofield Kid : That was the first one. Will Munny : First one what? The Schofield Kid : First one I ever killed .Will Munny : Yeah? The Schofield Kid : You know how I said I shot five men? It weren't true. That Mexican that come at me with a knife, I just busted his leg with a shovel. I didn't kill him or nothing, neither. Will Munny : Well, you sure killed the hell outta that fella today. On the prostitute Delilah, she did one thing, and everything spun out of control. She laughed at the guy for having a small penis, he cuts her up. organized the other prostitutes to get the money to have the two cowboys killed (Delilah never took part in that.) She watches English Bob get beat to hell, William Munny get beat to hell, the guy that cut her and his friend get killed, Ned get killed, and finally her boss, the sheriff and several other men she knew get killed. You could see the anguish in her, knowing that because she laughed at the wrong time, a series of events started that spun out of control, and there was nothing she could do to stop it.
  4. Some college freshmen this year 2018-19 weren't born when "The Emperor's New Groove," "X-Men," "Gladiator," and "Castaway" came out.
  5. Sure you're not thinking about Christian Bale thanking him?
  6. A one loss Texas team has a good chance of getting into the playoffs, unless that loss is in the B12 title game. With Ohio State and Georgia getting left out, we'll probably be looking at an expanded playoff sooner rather than later. Saban wasn't hired because of his awesome personality. He's a jerk, but he's a jerk that wins nearly 90% of his games.
  7. If Saban had done it with Texas, we'd be totally cool with it, except we're Texas, and someone would have a "Fire Nick Saban" thread up this morning after the loss last night. As far as the schedule, the SEC arranges the schedule to maximize post season chances for the teams. They play one less conference game, few significant OOC opponents, have a cupcake game late, and one other thing. They space out the big games between name programs. They avoid having Bama play Georgia, LSU, and another hot team in consecutive weeks. You play three top fifteen schools in a row, you're going to lose one. Teams can't be up every week. However, if you schedule LSU, have an FBS school in between, and then play Georgia, you've got a better chance at going undefeated. The reason they do this is because it works. They're not stupid enough to change to nine conference games and scheduling tough OOC games because the B1G and B12 complain about it. They'll keep doing it as long as it works.
  8. Weird. If I was Philly, I would have burned clock before taking a time out.
  9. Didn't get to see the game. On a scale of 1-10, ten being Cal-TCU, how ugly was it?
  10. Oh, yeah. Sorry to post something serious when I usually just shitpost, but what dog breeders have done to a lot of purebreds is criminal. Most of the current bulldogs get out of breath just sitting. UGA VII and VIII both died really young from medical complications. Each of them only lasted as mascots for two years. Average life span of bulldogs is now something like eight years. It was obvious that a pack of fifty UGAs would have run out of gas chasing Bevo as he strolled to the fifty yard line. Also, quick note. Won't pretend I'm a cowboy or anything, but my dad ran cattle and I worked with them a little. They hate small animals that get close to them. It's a lot like we get when an insect flies too close and we're not sure what it is. Almost every large non-carnivore has that it common. That's where the old story of elephants being afraid of mice comes from. Couldn't believe they brought that bulldog that close, and also that those photographers were dumb enough to sit there with their back to a longhorn five feet away and the only barrier being that little temp fence that a five year old could run through.
  11. There is a bit of serendipity in the fact that the Seahawks ended the game with a special teams screw up after the Tony Romo thing.
  12. Not calling it a win for another two minutes of game clock.
  13. Or score a touchdown. Touchdown's good, too.
  14. When the last minute of a basketball game takes twenty minutes because of deliberate fouls.
  15. Yeah, and UGA would have whipped BEVO if he'd been motivated. They're fukkin bulldogs. They're supposed to be able to whip ass on cattle.
  16. Old Yeller. Watched that movie when I was a kid, won't ever watch it again, and still haven't forgiven Disney.
  17. No kidding. Dittos for Kathleen Turner.
  18. You got me curious about Saban. In terms of winning percentage, Saban's at .792, but .880 at Alabama. Bud Wilkinson is at .827, but also had a 47 game winning streak. Knute Rockne was .881. All three of them coached over twelve years, so they turned over at least three complete rosters. Weird note while researching this. If Saban wins Monday, he'll be tied for total career wins with
  19. Forgive my lack of knowledge about the Houston Cougars, but what the hell does the hand sign mean, besides the obvious?
