Cincinatti vs. Houston CCG
And now 17 points later. I bet Alabama will score 50 today (reverse jinx?)

Brian Kelly to L$U
Not going to be a good look for Kelly when ND is playing in the CFB playoffs for a NC.

PAC 12 Championship - Oregon vs Utah - 7pm on ABC
I've read rumors that Whittingham might be close to retirement. Rose Bowl appearance after a conference championship seems like a good way to exit.

I remember the nearly untethered optimism NU fans had when they landed Frost during that same cycle.

Have a GA post that shit on their locker and peace out. They aren't good enough for LSU anyways. Bobby P did that to the Falcons and was banging students on his motorcycle at the next stop. Can't lose approach.

Until CFB playoffs expand and Saban retires chaos reigns and will become increasingly commonplace. The success that Saban, and to a lesser extent Urban & Dabo, have experienced warped CFB fandom expectations. USC, ND, tOSU, Oklahoma, Texas, Michigan, Clemson, LSU and Alabama fans think their schools should be in the CFP most of the time. Georgia, PSU, Oregon, Wisconsin, Florida, FSU, Miami, Texas A&M, and Auburn fans probably expect to be there every few years. Nebraska, Tennessee, Minnesota, Washington, VT, Baylor, TT, MSU, Utah, UCLA, OkSt, OleMiss, MSST fans all still think the stars can align for them for a nice 6-8 year run. So many schools I am overlooking here. Fans have unrealistic expectations, they can only measure success via CFB playoffs or Conference Championships, so coaches won't get much time to prove it before being cycled through.

NU up 14-3. Basically running 90s option football in 1st half. QB has 14 carries already- Iowa @ Nebraska 12:30 B1GN
3-8 NU using a backup QB is favored by 1 in this game against 9-2 Iowa. I'm certain NU will find a way to lose by less than 7- CFB coaching carousel
Special doesn't really matter that much either. UT is special, as is Florida, FSU, USC, etc. Hows that going?- UCLA @ U$C
CK is 7-4, should go to 8-4, and just thrashed USC. I don't see how this could be TBD when also considering the CFB job opening landscape. LSU, USC, VT, TT, UDub all looking for coaches. Miami, UF, and FSU might consider it as well. I think be happy with a bowl game and sit this cycle out- CFB coaching carousel
Go ahead and update that College Record to 16-14. Down 28-0 35-0 42-0 49-0 to tOSU in the 2nd quarter.- CFB coaching carousel
I think that is going to be a big problem going into the SEC for OU, and to a lesser extent TX. You think those fans are going to be ok being relegated to Auburn most years? Hell no. Huge expectations in a much tougher environment. How will the SEC be better for OU shorter term? More money certainly. Recruiting just got much harder. Most schools have more fertile recruiting grounds in their backyard and OU's current recruiting budget would be 7th-8th best in the SEC. Advantage in recruiting Texas kids (top school in Big12 and lots of games in TX) will greatly erode. Recruiting future HCs would be more difficult. OU in the SEC will be the 4th-6th best job in the conference compared to 1st or 2nd currently. On-field competition, that clearly got tougher too. Until the SEC finally succeeds in creating a super league and multiple losses are expected by all teams annually, similar to the NFL, I think OU fans are going to be pretty unhappy with the new norm.- CFB coaching carousel
Will OU have as much allure to TX HS athletes in the SEC as they did in the Big12? In the Big12 it was come play for the premier school in the league, make the CFB playoffs, and play a ton of games in TX. I'm speculating but, in the SEC they won't be the top school most years as I expect much more parity and TX kids could play as many in-state games going to Ole Miss as OU.- World Cup 2022 Qualifiers
Not so sure. The Canadian keeper looks like he has 3 layers of clothing on. That part seems pretty sweet.- Tell me about Nebraska
Frost goes into next year needing to turn the corner to keep his job. Not sure how he will attract any good offensive coaches (needs 4 now) or recruits. Will be rebuilding team with discount bin assistant coaches and adding to team through transfer portal. What could go wrong?- [BAN HAMMER THREAD] Washington St fires HC and assistants - Football only
I'm sure he will pick up another $3 million a year job soon.- [BAN HAMMER THREAD] Washington St fires HC and assistants - Football only
When keeping it real goes wrong- USMNT 2021
This is pretty accurate. A different ref and I think CR gets a PK in the first half. And if Ruiz had any speed we were in serious trouble in the 2nd when he had nobody but the keeper left. I'll be grateful for those 3 pts tonight- USMNT 2021
- Well, bye, Jon Gruden
Yet employ Antonio Brown.- Well, bye, Jon Gruden
How many years does Gruden have to be unemployed before his name is the hot rumor in Tennessee, LSU, or Auburn's next coaching search? That was always fun to watch.- USMNT 2021
More sensible posters, am I overreacting? We haven't picked up enough points early on and seem to be flirting with disaster again. Which is riskier, staying with this underwhelming regime that might barely get us to the WC or disrupting things at this stage?- Surly Boxing Thread
