  1. As a Colorado resident, I am quite gruntled. All these Springs MAGAts will certainly love the opportunity to move to Alabama.
  2. The last photo may or may not document my closest brush with death. I decided to hit a pretty technical loop outside Boulder, CO, clearly forgetting that I’ve been on my gravel bike all summer. My legs forgot what 15% grade singletrack climbs feel like. About 75% through the ride, after yet another “fuck this” uphill effort, I took a break. Sat it in the shade, had a snack, took my headphones off, and just enjoyed the quiet. That’s when I heard something loud, and close. I didn’t see what it was, but my brain immediately screamed “Fucking Bear”. Sounded like every Bear noise I’ve ever heard on TV or Movies. As if that wasn’t bad enough, I’d brought my larger hydration pack that morning…and forgot to transfer my bear spray. I considered 3 options: Head back down the trail toward the noise hoping I could move fast enough, keep climbing and hope I got out of range quickly, shit myself and accept fate. I chose option two, nearly coughed up a lung doing it. Screw +15% climbs and screw whatever animal made that noise.
  3. Bumping this thread to share my job search journey. TL;DR - AI was key. In April of last year, I left my employer of 13 years. The company had gone through six presidents in six years and was in the middle of its third major reorg. I was leading inorganic product development, a role I loved, when I was informed that the function would be shut down. They offered me another leadership role, but I knew it was time. My passion was gone. I negotiated a severance package which, along with unemployment, covered my expenses for 2024. I didn’t hate not working, but since I failed to win the lottery, I started my job search in January 2025. I knew it could take 7–9 months at my level, but I felt pretty confident. I had a strong track record: multiple promotions, consistent results, and a degree from a reputable school. I assumed I’d do just fine. I applied for about 15–18 roles from January to March and received no interest. That was concerning. That’s when I came back to this thread and saw the above advice about resume keyword optimization. I’m a bit of a tech laggard, but it made sense, so I gave it a shot. Once I started utilizing it, more and more applications for it emerged. I started using AI to: • Tailor resumes with role-specific keywords • Rewrite resume bullets • Draft custom cover letters • Research companies and industries • Prepare for interviews It was a game changer. Everything I produced was sharper and better informed, and it all took a fraction of the time. Over the next 15–18 applications, I got four interview requests. Today, I was extended an offer for a role I’m genuinely excited about. Just wanted to bump this thread to thank the folks who shared their advice and to share some of my own. @choripan I owe you some drinks if you are ever in Denver
  4. Next up for PSU is Kentucky. No rest for the wicked.
  5. Juan Ayuso leaving UAE at seasons end. Giro drama must have been immense.
  6. 13-0 Utes. UCLA's 3 man d-line looks huge. Unfortunately, they are trying to chase around a Kyler Murray clone tonight.
  7. @Sbbruin pre-season UCLA preview has me intrigued. Let's see what they have for the Utes.
  8. Probably, but they are replacing both coordinators, starting a brand new QB, and replacing 14 players lost to the nfl draft. I suspect they were counting on some ramp up time.
  9. PSU looked just as good as last year. Lost All American Mruzik due to graduation and replaced her with All American Kennedy Martin from Florida.
  10. When Landon, Tim, and Clint lost WC qualifying matches to Costa Rica, T&T, Guatemala, and Honduras what was the root cause? Talent wasn't an issue then either.
  11. Barring a crash, certainly hard to envision anyone but Jonas winning. Still interested to see what Juan Ayuso and Joao Almedia can do to make it difficult. Also, I can't help to root for Tom Pidcock.
  12. The 2018 WC miss was because we lost to T&T 2-1 in the final match. Our lone goal scorer in that match, Pulisic. Below is a list of those who played in that game. I don't think the 2018 failure had much to do with the 2022 roster. I do see a lot of that heralded 2014 roster below.
  13. That crap from Taylor is exactly the click bait BS the current players are calling out. It's just full of speculative opinions about effort and desire. He then suggests somehow we've regressed from the 2014 WC. 2014 WC Advanced out of Group Stage with 4 points then got knocked out by Belgium next game. 2022 WC Advanced out of Group Stage with 4 points then got knocked out by Netherlands next game.
  14. The “Sleeping Giant” narrative is nonsense. Hopefully, they can eventually ascend to the level of Iowa and USC. This is a make-or-break season for Matt Rhule. If they win 9 games, including a bowl, they likely retain Raiola, and the 2027 recruiting class could be something special. But if they go 7–5, Raiola probably transfers, the recruiting class falls apart, and Rhule enters 2026 on the hot seat with no momentum. The offense should improve under Holgorsen. Special teams should also take a step forward after hiring Ekeler from Tennessee. Last year, they were among the worst in the country. That said, I’m not confident in their defensive line. They lost their top three linemen from last season and may struggle against running teams. They’ll likely need an explosive offense to compensate for what could be a noticeable step back defensively.
  15. Love the optimism, but you're Russian drunk on pre-season Kool-Aid. Right now, I'd guess UCLA as underdogs in 8 of their 12 games. I do think they could take a step forward this year, but I expect the same from your opponents Michigan State, Nebraska, Washington, and maybe even USC. Plus, UCLA still has to face Utah, Ohio State, Penn State, and Indiana, all of which are likely to be strong this season. I think you win 6.
  16. Bodhi

    Uniform Pron

Truly boring and played out, but Adidas gonna Adidas. Still not the worst thing they have been associated with, considering they were founded by a Nazi who reportedly had his own brother conscripted into the army out of jealousy. Also, they made these:
  17. Trail systems might be for crap but the views certainly aren't. Great shots!
  18. Red Bull-Bora should be an interesting team to follow next year. They just signed Remco Evenepoel. So last years TDF third place finisher/white jersey winner (Remco) will ride with this years TDF third place finisher/white jersey winner (Florian Lipowitz) and Primoz Roglic. Could work, could be a ton of drama, fun to watch either way.
  19. Last two stages were great as well. Maeva Squiban took stage 6 breaking away solo with 32k to go winning by over a minute. She followed that up with a Pogi style attack on a stage 7 climb with 23k to go winning again by over a minute.
  20. Well I appreciate the bump from Mr. Coker. I didn't see this previously and I would have definitely missed out. Also, not surprising to see this racist trainwreck of a woman supports Pedo State.
