  1. Stage 4 of Dauphine was interesting with Jonas beating Tadej by 29 seconds. Was Tadej mortal? Stage 6 Tadej looked like a machine once again, dropping Jonas, Remco, and others on a climb to win by over a minute.
  2. Giro has been amazing to follow this year. But the TDF has Tadej and Jonas, that will be more than enough.
  3. Good trolling by Lando When watching the footage back in the cool down room, the top three drivers could barely believe their eyes. Leclerc: "Oh my god." Oscar Piastri: "Yikes." Lando Norris: "I've done that before ... in Mario Kart."
  4. Wait until he figures out Folarin Balogun, Yunus Musah, and Ricardo Pepi are members of the roster. He will simply throw the team under the bus and say DEI ruined it.
  5. Finished this event and don't think this format is going to be an annual thing for me. The team aspect was a lot of fun but sleeping 3-4 hours, trying to consume enough calories for 18 hours of riding on & off, and some cramping detracted for sure. I also might suck at night riding, as I crashed hard on my second lap and injured my shoulder some. For the next few months, it's time to heal up and just ride for fun without any specific training program.
  6. I believe using mom’s maiden names for Mother’s Day.
  7. These lists are so silly. That said, the Browns taking Drew Allar at 5 after drafting 2 QBs this year seems so dead on.
  8. Bill Belichick getting pussy whipped by a 24 year old, posing for mermaid cosplay pics, and doing weird beach couples poses seems suspicious. I've seen this story before
  9. Smart purchase, what could go wrong
  10. Well, this is quite the legendary slide. So he's got that going for him.
  11. Done that trail system and both those trails, great stuff. We won’t be there however, closer to state park. That sounds way worse than what I’ll be doing. I’m not overly race focused but like doing 2-3 throughout the year to keep myself motivated. Rarely want to do anything that takes over 4 hours to complete.
  12. I would love to have seen Aaron Rodgers live reaction to GB drafting a WR 1st round.
  13. I will be riding an event called 18 hours of Fruita on May 3rd. Teams of 4 individuals alternating laps. Course is flowy, non-technical singletrack, ~ 7 miles and only 400 feet of climbing. I've spent the winter on my trainer in the basement and feel physically really good. The challenge will be mental. The race starts at midnight and wraps up at 6 pm. Teams are trying to complete as many laps as possible. I will be doing a 40 minute lap, then resting for 2 hours, then another 40 minute lap, and so on. I expect to do ~7 laps over the course of 18 hours. I suspect getting back on my bike for laps 5-7 will be daunting.
  14. Tadej has been busy, and impressive, this spring. This acceleration at the end roaring away from Remco, Ben Healy, and Pidcock today was something. Will be excited to see what kind of form Jonas is in by TDF.
  15. His interview after was great. Just complete disbelief he somehow out sprinted Tadej and Remco.
  16. Pretty damn cool story today. Remco Evenepoel is making his season debut at Brabantse Pijl, a flemish race. Remco has been out all 2025 after getting hit by a car door while training, resulting in some pretty bad injuries. Last 5km he finds himself in the lead of the race with fellow Belgian Wout. Some good gamesmanship leading into the finish.
  17. Woman at 2:05. "These people (trump supporters) aren't dumb, and they aren't unkind people, or selfish people, or thoughtless people"
  18. Some great racing in the past week. First American Neilson Powless takes on 3 Visma riders in a sprint, including Wout, and somehow pulls it off on his own. Then we get Tour of Flanders with the lead group having MVP, Wout, and Tadej all together in the final 20km.
  19. Where was this at? I live down in Boulder and know the trail systems in the Lyons, Boulder, Morrison areas pretty well but not familiar with Loveland/FC areas.

    My dog died

I had to euthanize one of my animals a few years back. I scheduled in home euthanasia, which I can't recommend enough. The vet that provided that service offered me a grief packet. One of the items in that packet was this Rainbow Bridge poem. It's target audience appears to be 10 year old children but it still provided me with some comfort that morning. A bit later that day, I'm in my backyard digging a hole as to bury my pet under their favorite tree. In the process of digging that hole a rainbow appeared in the sky. I'm not a religious man, but that event felt deliberate and was much appreciated during a time of suffering.
  21. I live in Boulder, CO and cycle frequently. Drop me a note and I’m happy to assist.
  22. There is a Sandusky joke for this 5th set I don't want to make. Looks like Pedo vs. NU and Louisville vs. Pitt. Could be an all PA final.
