  1. Sure would be a nice weekend for a Jalen Tolbert breakout game.
  2. Yeah, it's one reason I stopped picking up used Squiers for cheap. Not good for sausagey fingertips like mine.
  3. Ain't nobody tryna see that.
  4. Bass-non-birthing-persons.
  5. Yeah, I'm assuming they bought a massive shipment of those exclusive Lake Placid blue Players a couple of years ago at a sweet price. The cracks and scratchy pots are likely a result of being stored a long time in a warehouse, just my guess. They are fairly inconsequential and I'm sure it will vary from guitar to guitar. Just spinning the knobs a while could take care of the pot noise, and if needed spray a little electronics cleaner in them, they are probably OK. Did it come with any kind of bag? EDIT: OK, I posted that before I saw the photos. That's not good. Probably got bumped around a lot. Adorama is very good with customer service, returns and such. They are a huge business and stock a ton of stuff. Stuff like this happens, but they will make it good.
  6. Not top 5 NFL salary numbers by a longshot. Thanks for to supporting the facts for a change.
  7. Nothing in particular triggered ditching Cooper. He was being payed a top 5 NFL receiver salary, for being like the number 35 receiver. He didn't meld over the long haul, and there was no reason to believe he ever would, at least with Dak. They got out from under it. The math on Cooper just didn't work over the span of his deal, so they found someone else to take it. It's that simple.
  8. My new electric axe arrived today!
  9. I really don't need a damn thing, other than to use the stuff I have a lot more. As Mr. Spock wisely said...
  10. I keep reading that the newish Placentia series is crapola compared to their previous economy series. It was a fleeting thought, but not a serious one.
  11. Guitar Center deal of hte day is the G&L ASAT placenta-ish tele type in blue quartz for $240. Not far from Lake Placid blue I've never had a G&L, so if I bought it I could justify it as for research purposes.
  12. I was trying to figure out which part set him off.
  13. aggy never had a losing season. They just ran out of games.
  14. It's not a real thing, anyway. It's like another fake rasslin' league. It's just something to fool people into buying tickets and paying for rights and shit.
  15. Alamo likes Texas. They bring the most fans, sell tickets. I don't see them passing on UT.
  16. Not sure it would be getting ahead. It was probably more like a fairy godmother doing me a favor and saving me $500 for something I don't need.
  17. Already tried that. It still comes up as $549. Maybe it's a browser trick where they read my mind and jack up the price.
  18. And the Cowboys tried their best to fuck that one up and keep Randy, but got lucky and botched the contract despite themselves.
  19. I tell you one thing, Durance Armstrong is already twice the player Gregory ever was, and doesn't seem to be the brittle penalty-prone shithead Randy was.
  20. True, not when Josh Gordon can probably be signed off whatever Practice Squad he's on now for cheap.
  21. Last night i was taking one last look at that $499 Lake Placid blue Tele. Talked myself out of it for two weeks. I went to bed thinking, "what the fuck? It's Cyber Monday, if it's still the same price in the morning I'm buying it." Back up to $549 today. Now I'd feel like I'm giving up $50 for nothing. Can't do it. There's always Christmas / New Year extended black Friday Xmas Festivus/ Quansah, Post-Cyber Hail Satan/ pre-Apocalypse fakeass holiday blowout sale.
  22. Just one example. https://www.nfl.com/news/cowboys-wr-amari-cooper-rotated-out-on-crucial-down-0ap3000001091128
  23. Cooper just wasn't living up to his cost and wasn't working out. He checked out of too many games when he was needed most. He was basically quiet, but he was passively a diva, high maintenance ego guy and sulked when he wasn't getting lubed enough. They needed to get out from under his deal while they could. Nobody was offering more than Cleveland, though they might have played it better and started dangling him earlier and more effectively. They still weren't going to get a heck of a lot more. After the airport thing, fuck Odell. But he would have been a short term guy at a reasonable price to throw down with the extra cap space they have. They don't need a star or a superstar salary. They need another decent receiver that can draw some kind of attention and make some catches when it counts. Look back at all of those WTF decisions people were ranting about, and most of them proved to work out just fine. The O-line has jelled, rookie left tackle has stepped up, we don't miss Collins, who has been fighting injuries all year. We don't miss Gregory in the least, in fact Dallas upgraded the pass rush with the guys they already had. They didn't need to throw big money at an aging linebacker. A DB would have been nice, but there really wasn't one there.
  24. That stinky slobby looking bitch doing that hipster deodorant commercial. The shit might work, but she will still look stinky.
