  4. Sure, it'll go from 2.7% full to 2.9%.
  5. …fill it up with red red wiiiiiine…
  6. Yes No Yacht Rock
  7. Oh, it's absolutely personal.
  8. Sattler has a handful of good restaurants. Elio's is one (Italian). Startzville has one good Italian joint called Gennaro's that people drive from SA, NB, and San Marcos to dine at. If you're looking for a bar scene that's going to be Gruene. Lots of stuff over there. It has gotten beyond touristy, however.
  9. The big marina over near Hancock still has their ramp working, but you have to be a member (rent a slip) to use it. Luckily, or maybe unluckily, I have one. The only boats you see out there now are from the marinas and the yacht club. On a "busy" weekend at any given time there are probably no more than 10 to 20 boats out on the entire lake. You still see PWCs because there's a guy who keeps a bunch on the lake 24/7 and rents them out. Calls himself the "Jet Ski Dude" He must have some compromising polaroids of the Corps of Engineers because they don't approve anything except more outflows of water to the next subdivision. The drought is a problem, but those jack holes are the real issue at CL. They don't give a flying fuck.
  10. Definitely, but something about 6 inch visibility hot tub water contained in a propeller eating, shallow low spot in the HC just doesn't appeal to The Dude. I did the Lake ATX bit for a half decade and that was fun, but cruising around in a phone booth with 100 other wake boats wore a bit thin in the end. Man I hope CL comes back some day before I'm too old. Such a beautiful body of water when it's there. You jump in and you don't feel like you need a shower afterwards. Being able to see the bottom at 25 feet is pretty damned nice bonus too.
  11. Sigh again...
  12. That it was. My dog crapped the bed a few times. Or was that me?
  13. This is the hope that keeps me going. I moved here in '21 specifically for the lake and that "life". The graph has been at a downward slope almost to the day I moved in. That flood we got last year put about 3 months of water back in CL, but that was all. We're gonna need a couple of BIG ones stalled over Kerrville/Comfort/Sisterdale to really get this thing back to a level where I don't want to sell the boat.
  14. I live here at Canyon Lake near Startzville. It’s put about 3 days worth of evaporation back in the lake so far. That’s it. Sigh.
  15. This will be an unpopular post, but I'm all-in for UTSA. Birds Up bitches!
