  1. Mac Jones threw for 300 yards, 4 TDs, and was 25/30. Dude was one incompletion away from having the same number of TDs as incompletions. Even against Alabama that's not confidence-inspiring by any means.
  2. It seems to be assumed Corey Dennis is going to go to Jax with Urban. If he does would it be fair to assume that we have a very good chance of getting him to flip? I am assuming that his QB coach having an unexpected departure would certainly throw a wrench in things on the OSU side.
  3. Uninformed guess as to when shorts will have closed and profit taking begins
  4. That's why you don't buy puts during a short squeeze. Wait until Wednesday if you want to buy some
  5. Facts and great username
  6. I too will commit both to the brisket post fund and the ice cream post fund. Hell I'll post my own homespun ice cream if that's what it takes to get the Quinn Ewers/2021 croots thread to 1000.
  7. Great play design by Sark. You love to see it.
  8. Not sure how y'all managed to have a conversation about great ice cream and not bring up Salt & Straw or Teo Gelato.
  9. What is happening? We're a basketball school now. Did Shaka learn how to coach all of a sudden, or was it a slow process? Shaka got hair and all is well. In reality I think it's a combo of getting senior leadership, shortening the rotation and getting his best players minutes, and finally having some good guard play to pair with the traditionally great big play we've had under Shaka. Like I think the best guard we've had since I was a freshman back in 2014 was probably Isaiah Taylor. We haven't had a drafted point guard since Cory Joseph a whole decade ago. On the other hand, in the past five years we put Myles Turner, Jarret Allen, Mo Bamba, and Jaxson Hayes into the league. That's four first round bigs in five years. None of our guards may have elite NBA guard written on them, but we finally have some respectable college guards who can lead the team to success and a five star one and done big to go with them. To make matters better, we don't have to rely on the one and done big to make our team work as we saw today and multiple other games, which allows him to develop properly. For the first time in a long time, we're a complete team. Have we beaten any other really good teams, or is KU overrated? KU is definitely the best team we've beaten. Other than that we haven't beaten any other elite teams. That being said I think we're really solid. The other elite team we've played is #4 Villanova (likely to be #3 after the next poll) and we played them incredibly close in a hard fought game. We won the Maui invitational and we look good. Kansas has beaten Creighton, Texas Tech, and West Virginia and their only losses are to us and Gonzaga so I would not be surprised if they're a one seed when all is said and done. This is a fucking incredible win, I don't think we've ever beaten Kansas at AFH this hard and we have a ton to be proud of. Still a ton of ball left to play and Shaka and the Men's Basketball Team have a lot to prove, but fuck if it ain't easy to get excited right now
  10. @immamac While I know you banned "Fire {insert HC name here}" threads, it is an open question as to whether "Fire {inset position coach name here}" threads are. That brings us to an important question: if Mike Stoops is hired, can I create a "Fire Mike Stoops" thread? Better yet, can I create one right now?
  11. RGBIII as he delivers the truth to his people: God fucking bless the University of Texas, god fucking bless America, FUCK CHIP BROWN, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY IT IS 11:21 IN SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA, AND OU STILL SUCKS! Edit: Oh and that would be 9.95
  12. So long and thanks for the fish
  13. What a pity. Couldn't even hit 1000 pages
  14. I wish I could drop my entire plus rep quota for the day on these two posts.
  15. I mean since money isn't a question here why don't we make it a nice 12.5x8 and make him the 100 million dollar man?
  16. Give me a name then. Who should we look to beyond Meyer, Kelly, and Campbell that is both likely to come here and would be better than Herman?
  17. My standard isn't football jesus, it's Matt fucking Campbell. That's not some herculean bar to cross. I think Tom is responsible because the buck does stop there. I've said multiple times, if you bothered to read my comments instead of running canned responses to what you think I am saying, that Tom's personnel selection in terms of staff is his biggest issue as a HC (unfortunately probably one of the most important things to be good at). He seems to have lucked into a good staff on the defensive side and with the things he is good at would in theory be equipped to do well next season. If we can get Matt Campbell or better though, fire him. If not, roll the dice on an OL coach (odd that you seem willing to open the YellowPages to a random name for the next guy, yet you oppose trying to find a new OL coach given that the available options for replacement HC outside of the guys I listed are lackluster at best).
  18. What do you call Georgia, Mizzou, Utah, and Florida St then if this game didn't meet your standard?
  19. Who do you want then, assuming we can't the guys I mentioned being suitable replacements? Who would be worthy of rolling the dice on instead of Herman. Why should we believe odds are good they work out better? Everyone can tell me that Herman sucks at x, y, and z. Most of the time I agree since I've said similar things here and elsewhere. What no one can seem to answer is, why should we believe going below the bar I mentioned would yield better results than what we have?
  20. It's a sign that Herman is who I've said he is. Poor at personnel decisions, good at other things listed, while others here seem to claim he is the worst at everything and a half step above Charlie Weis in terms of coaching talent. Roll the dice on OL and try to find a better guy. Wait a year and try to find a better coach if we can, unless we can get Campbell or better in case we fire Herman regardless and hire Campbell or better.
  21. Oh fuck off Huck, you can't seriously be using coach speak as an indictment. You're better than that. Every single fucking unit in year X is the best unit every coach claims to have ever seen in their career until year X+1 when every unit that year, especially the weakest unit of the team that year, is the greatest unit since the 85 Bears D and the modern Kansas City O.
  22. G5 candidates that I think have potential get a chance to prove themselves to be more than one hit wonders. P5 coaches that continue to over perform at middling institutions realize they've done the most they can at Pittsburgh or North Carolina or Arizona (purely examples of middling institutions not suggesting I like the coach at any of these schools to be the next Texas HC).
  23. Who else is available that's worth hiring? I remember looking at the list of Plan 3.5ers from IT or whoever it was and just rolling my eyes repeatedly. They're either not coming or terrible choices
