  1. I believe the answer was all of them. Some of the scenes were pretty humorous.
  2. Fair amount because he and Willem Dafoe are both central to the character development of Emma’s story. Everything stays pretty well centered around Emma Stone overall though. She really turned in a great performance. I set no expectations for movies, but if I had set the bar high for her she still would’ve jumped right over it.
  3. This movie is strange, weird, unique and awesome all rolled into one. Emma Stone was so ridiculously good in this one. So was Willem Dafoe (Shocking that he is good, I know.) and Mark Ruffalo as well. Emma Stone killed it though from start to finish and her character seems like a fever dream for most of the guys on this website. This really might’ve been the best role she has had so far in her career. It also seems like they went straight to @Brisketexan for some of the lines in the movie about where we are at as a world society, but then also Brisket for some of the quotes from her sex scenes, which were many. I would highly recommend seeing this as soon as it comes to your local theater.
  4. Lack of time and watching guys do lasting damage to their brains was a line for me I did not want to cross as a fan. People who still watch are cool by me, but I found other interests in life I enjoy more and I’m thankful for the last ten years + of very little football. Still hope the Horns win and I will probably watch their semi-final game. Again no knock on football fans, but high school ball is usually all I will watch when I do have time to sit down to see a game.
  5. Let’s see how many/most of these wind up being wrong. You will probably get more correct than I will. Benjamin Westbrook Mart Timpson Gunter Malakoff Gilmer Anna SOC Aledo Desoto Duncanville
  6. I think my friend’s dad graduated from Carter a year after Rhyner left Kimball. Totally different world. It would be cool if my friend’s dad were still. Alive so I could hear stories about Carter back then.
  7. Fun stories from the years I spent going over to TGJM and seeing so many Lincoln-Madison games in basketball and football. My first Madison-Lincoln sporting event was in 2000 when Madison beat a Lincoln team that had Bosh on it. Some teammates from the football team at school graduated from there so we went up to see the game at LOOS in North Dallas. He almost gave up a windmill dunk 5 seconds after the opening tip, but he intentionally fouled a guy 5 inches shorter so it would not happen. Back when I still used to drink I would spend the summers right down the street (believe the house was on Pennsylvania or the next street over) from Madison at a house where the entire Flentroy family drank and ate BBQ every single weekend. If you remember 2009-10 it was the Flentroy boys in basketball that got them a basketball title and runner up the next year. That family basically adopted me and started calling me a Flentroy…I could not drink as much as them so maybe not quite a full family member…😂
  8. Nothing against Albany, but I will root for the hometown of the great young actor Jesse Plemons in this one. Also I always liked it when Mart’s head coach was Rusty Nail. What a name.
  9. I believe you know this, but if you ever want to get someone in “Sunny South Dallas” angry refer to Oak Cliff and the southern suburbs as South Dallas. That neighborhood is really protective of their identity based on that name. Aside from that I mean that trio right there is ridiculously impressive. One of my friends that coaches told me he had a chance to go back to his alma mater of SOC to coach football, but he chose to not go home because he was given a different coaching job he wanted on the hardwood (That was then rescinded because the school he was at would not approve of him leaving). I told him to perhaps reconsider this spring a return to The Mecca. He told me he did not attend either of the state title games, but he is thinking of going to this one. Once he left SOC after graduation in 1990 he only contemplated one return and it was for basketball when James Mays wanted to add him to the staff.
  10. My mom’s favorite scene in the movie is the march into the office of his boss and the underlings. My mom had my 4 year old niece watching the movie over the weekend with her for the first time. My mom apparently told her this was a funny scene. I hear my niece say right before Clark gives his greeting to all the underlings “Where’s the funny part?” She’s pretty familiar with the words that were said next thanks to my brother. 😂 I will be keeping this video of her first time seeing the movie and showing it to her once she gets older so she can remember what a fun sense of humor her Grannie has.
  11. We were all robbed of not knowing whether or not he invited Mary over to go swimming once the pool was installed. Such a letdown there.
  12. 2 million in salary and 50 million (He probably pushes this well over 9 figures a year within two years time) in endorsements. Does this still make him a poor in Bel-Air?
  13. Oh they can pay taxes and salary many times over what they actually pay and lose no sleep over it. I would agree that they willingly took advantage of Ohtani’s desire to win. If they do not now go out and fill the roster with a whole bunch more talent around him I would be pretty hacked off if I were a Dodgers fan. I kinda think they are going to go all-in though on this and spend whatever it takes to best position themselves to win. Again though the caveat is that you can win a ton of games in baseball’s regular season and then see a team like Arizona catch fire at the right time and ruin your whole season. I am certain this will probably happen to LA several times over the next decade.
  14. It’s some real pretzel-like logic. You almost just have to stand there and mock/laugh in the face of people who follow this line of thinking. I have found that people who have the most hatred of Muslims are those that have spent zero time around anyone from that faith and rely on our good old propaganda network to give them their opinions of these fine folks.
  15. Slapped/ should have had a flamethrower on hand for that situation. These people are just so inherently awful and intolerant.
  16. I ran through what he said and this stands out to me because it is much the same way I feel about not imposing my faith on others as well as about the mixing of government and religion. This should be how actual Christians or people of various other faiths view the mixing of the two.
  17. Yes, yes I am and very blessed to do what I do for a living both personally and financially.
  18. I thought at first someone must have been duped. I guess it comes from not often epecting athletes to do things that can best position their team to be as strong as is possible. Ohtani is just a different type of human being it seems. What little I have read about his family though does make this seem more plausible.
  19. I do not care if you or any other poster agree or not on this or any other topic of discussion on this board. I am straightforward with what I think and say and that’s it.
  20. Dave Robert’s does not seem to be great at his job and Kershaw might should be put out to pasture. I think the thing that obviously makes baseball different from basketball or even football (Assuming you have a great QB) is that you still have to have the rest of your teammates perform because you only get 4 or 5 AB’s a game and when he gets back to pitching in 2025 he only takes the mound every 5th day. Getting Ohtani guarantees nothing. Deferring money guarantees nothing, but it does give them a better opportunity to bring in more meaningful and talented help. Baseball is still an odd sport in how having him moving up the freeway is no guarantee of success. I sure would rather have this guy and a boatload of money to still go spend than to be the A’s, Marlins, Royals, Rockies or Pirates and have no shot to ever be in a position every single year to have a great shot at winning another title.
  21. Sounds like we’ve found this man’s spirit animal.
  22. What will it cost to get Santos to sing on Cameo the song called “Talkin out the side of your neck.” by Cameo?
  23. I’d like to hear some of your thoughts on what possible repercussions would be. You are far more knowledgeable than I could ever hope to be in matters related to this stuff so please share some more thoughts about this.
  24. I was thinking “What horrific thing did Paxton try to do now?” Yes this one is going to hurt his GQP friends at the ballot box. The lengths men will go to just to regulate what a woman can do with their body is insane.
  25. At least, when your emotions become stable again, let everyone know that this is about the r word. Not about cussing (who cares), this is just you throwing a tantrum because you ran away when people told you to stop saying that word. 10 pages of the airing of grievances later and you left. Let’s see how long you last this time before you break from reality again.
