  1. Seen way too much of Playoff Jimmy. Until he loses 4 games in a series I will never count that dude out. I think he also never let go of animosity towards the Wolves franchise from when he was there. I would count on a pretty good 2nd half from him on both ends.
  2. Still got Jimmy on the roster. I would not wave the white flag just yet as long as he is healthy. Losing Steph sucks, but Butler is nails in situations like this.
  3. I cannot understand how he could garner even one player having that opinion of him. Do they not watch how he orchestrates things for Indiana? He’s fun to watch and easily one of the best players in the league right now.
  4. Well yes. My last class this semester I spent a good amount of time studying about the mentality of the average Russian over the last 80 years as well as the mentality of the Russian government/dictators in charge over the same span. To call Russia’s societal organization a mess is doing the word mess a disservice.
  5. There is a bit of a national history of pressing their foot on the pedal when they feel invulnerable to anything. We're watching one of those modern instances play out.
  6. Was watching part of the 2nd half. Jokic is going to murder this team the entire series. It’s what you expect from the world’s best basketball player.
  7. I nominally care, but if I am looking at the two of them I will choose Russ. That guy always, always, always brings it. When Durant abandoned ship he was still there trying to win. He makes some really ridiculous mistakes at times, but he’s never been called a quitter like Harden correctly has. Consistently disappearing game after big game when the lights are brightest makes me choose Russ. Also his quote recently about what his job in Denver is just makes me like him more. He’s there to F stuff up. His level of self-awareness about his shortcomings on the court also makes me enjoy watching him play. He talked about that after Game 7 I believe.
  8. I like Gainesville. I may have mentioned to you before that a friend's mother grew up there and went to Booker T. Washington when schools were still segregated. She left and had her daughter out in SoCal and raised her in Costa Mesa. I remember going up to Gainesville around 2002 or so for church at the CofC. The mom's family made dinner and I had the best fried chicken I have ever had from her brother. It was interesting family. It is former Gainesville basketball state champion JR Harrison's family. Very nice people.
  9. This take, much like anything Skip Bayless says, will not age well.
  10. Just shy of 815 million between the two. THAT’s an insane amount for those two clowns to have been paid while delivering nothing.
  11. Thanks for the update. He just completely went his own direction that makes very little sense. I hope for the sake of his family that he perhaps decides to get out of politics.
  12. That is legitimately funny.
  13. Paul George is not a winner The summer of 2019 when Kawhi demanded the Clips get George still makes me laugh. George has stolen millions upon millions for accomplishing absolutely nothing of note.
  14. No. James Harden is there. Throwing in George and Embiid guarantees a first round loss.
  15. Trademark it and make some money.
  16. I'm not certain that I would go along with that. Jokic is capable of taking over a series and so is Murray. If both are on from here on out they can win another title. OKC is really, really good though. I hope the series is entertaining and that there are no injuries.
  17. What are the odds on him opening up a chain of strip clubs after he retires?
  18. So the kid she was being a racist to also is on the spectrum? Did I read that right? if so I hope a bus hits this racist and soulless piece of white trash.
  19. I was explaining AI to my mom recently and I said it is only as smart as the human beings that program it.
  20. First they came for Steak n Shake and I said nothing. Then they came for Whataburger and I got mildly irritated. Finally they showed up for In-N-Out and I went full John Wick.
  21. He is still right about Harden. We all have those moments in life where we figure out we might have to change who we are to get where we want to get to. Not Harden. As long as he can make enough to fund his strip club lifestyle the rest just does not matter to him. Any NBA team taking this guy is knowingly killing off any chance of winning a title while he is there. I hope he stays with the Clippers until he retires and that he serenades Clipper fans with a string of 5-17 game 7’s or whatever awful line he puts up in the big games.
  22. I thought Harden would maybe have a 6-19 game, but he isn’t even interested enough to shoot. As a basketball player he is a loser you do not want on your team. No player in the history of the NBA put up more stats and did less once the playoffs started than this guy. He and Kawhi are perfect for each other.
  23. If you’re a QB that’s been drafted by QB hell is #2 really the number you want to wear for them? Did Gabriel have to call Couch and Manziel and ask for permission to wear this sacred number?
  24. Most players who have injuries won’t speak much about them while still playing because guys will go after you when they know you have a specific injury. I don’t really care whether he was injured or not. The season is done either way so seeing someone talk about an injury when they are done seems to be fairly normal to me across all sports.
