  1. I have no idea what you’ve been watching, but Overshown is really bad and won’t be anywhere near the top 3 rounds. He’s constantly out of position or messing up assignments. His testing numbers will be good for a linebacker, but he’s undersized, can’t take on blocks, and isn’t actually good at playing linebacker. Numbers can only do so much for guys like that. If he gets drafted the team may have another position in mind, safety perhaps? He does have good speed and safety was his HS position. He doesn’t have anywhere near the athleticism or coverage skills to play safety. He was spun down in college for exactly this reason. There’s no way he could move back to safety in the NFL.
  2. This wasn’t an isolated incident. There’s been a lot of times this year where Worthy either can’t find the ball or does a terrible job adjusting to it. It’s an established flaw in his game. Off the top of my head, I can think of plays against ULM, Bama, and WVU where he did this, and I’m sure there’s more.
  3. It’s 2 years in a row now that our team has not only failed to improve as the season goes on, but we’ve actually gotten worse. Sark draws up good game plans, and Flood seems to be doing a good job developing the OL. Other than that, it’s hard to find any signs of good coaching on this team 2 years running.
  4. It’s the middle of year 2 and he’s 5-3. I think most are pretty confident he’s not the guy, but he will get to the end of year 3, at minimum, and likely more than that. Your post is also way off for a number of reasons. Sark isn’t a mix of his old self and anything. He’s the exact same guy he was at UW and USC. Recruits extremely well, offense looks unstoppable at times, blows leads, can’t adjust, is terrible on the road, and his teams can’t manage to show up or finish enough games to win more than 7 or 8 games most seasons. He’s been exactly the guy UT should have expected based on his previous 8 season as a HC. There really haven’t been any surprises with him if you pay attention to his HC career up til now. He is exactly who we hired, which is why it was a bad hire. And you may want to fact check your claim that “Kirby Smart took a long while.” He was in the NC game in year 2, and he won 13, 11, and 12 games in years 2,3, and 4.
  5. You make a really good point. We should go get the guy who coordinated that offense to recruit WRs for us, instead of whatever dumbass is going after Greathouse.
  6. Yeah, IIRC Whittington was recruited here as a WR and only switched to RB because accomplished CFB HCs Tom Herman and Stan Drayton managed the RB room so poorly that we didn’t have any actual RBs available to play.
  7. I’m all for Weigman playing this year, but Idk why the Weigmans want him to play this year. That OL is horrible and he will get the shit beat out of him while forming bad habits.
  8. This still missed the point, though. If the offer came from a collective, not a coach or anyone involved with the Alabama program, then there’s no one for the NCAA to punish, regardless of whether it runs afoul of an NCAA rule or a law.
  9. Youre just flat out wrong on this. An elite RB will still inflate the numbers for an OL in these metrics. Good vision and elite agility will result in more line yards for an OL.
  10. with all due respect, you are really fucking stupid.
  11. We’re getting a little overrated for OU because computers don’t take injuries into account, but they love our defense because we have a low YPP and we limit explosive plays very effectively. They also think the amount of third and longs and fourth downs we give up will return to the mean, but that doesn’t take into account how bad PK and our defense is at situational play calling and executing. Our defense is absolutely overrated if metrics have us in the top 10 defensively. Lmao wut. Overshown won’t even sniff the 2nd round. He’s not good at football. Casual fans drastically overrate him. You also probably have RoJo, Sweat and Ojomo too low and Whittington too high.
  12. You should lay off telling other people their reality is skewed. We absolutely have guys who will get drafted on this defense.
  13. Lol wut. He’s a true freshman and their OLis god awful. Getting him killed behind a terrible OL doesn’t help get Weigman ready. He’s better off redshirting.
  14. Thompson was rated high because he's extremely fast, but he was super raw in HS and needs a lot of development. He's also undersized, so I'd bet he's a terrible blocker right now. He likely needs more time.
  15. The difference is soft coverage is a problem when the defense executes the coverage correctly, but it still gives up a first because the coverage had them playing too far off. Blown coverage is when the players on the defense don't execute the call correctly. It's a meaningful difference when we're talking about it in the thread about our DC and whether his calls are to blame for the failure or it's another issue. You're wrong about our defense on Saturday. The biggest problem was our back 7 not executing. When guys are getting open deep down the field like they were on Saturday, calling a soft coverage is not usually to blame.
  16. Ehhh. Conner has been really bad too. He's actually even lower graded than Hutson by PFF, and Hutson seems like he's improving at a better rate.
  17. There's a difference between blown coverage and soft coverage. Most of this board sees a WR open and immediately calls it soft coverage. Soft coverage is generally referred to when teams are playing way off the receivers and drop at the snap. We do this some, where we line up at the first down marker and then the DBs still bail, giving up an easy first, but most of the conversions this week were deeper in the secondary, which would be blown coverages/assignments.
  18. It's almost like this is college football and teams' performances vary greatly week to week. You'll have trouble finding any defense in CFB that plays well every week. UGA might be the only exception and that's because they always have a massive talent advantage. FIFY.
  19. The problem with your post is you assume other guys aren’t playing because they’re worse than the guys who are, but we played guys like Brockermeyer, all last year and left better guys on the bench, like Ford.
  20. Ash wasn’t good, you dumb motherfucker.
  21. This is also bullshit. We were planning to start Conner and Majors. There were guys in the portal who could start over them.
  22. Go look up Cole Hutson’s grades this year and then report back on whether we could’ve used a transfer, smart guy.
