  1. All the Colgate players’ names sound like the names before the “&” in a law firm
  2. I like how I’m so paranoid after Arizona’s fuckup that I still feel like they have the momentum
  3. I get that's she's blonde, but repeatedly showing the crying Utah St. cheerleader is kind of cruel.
  4. I need to cultivate this type of self-delusion. It's very healthy.
  5. Still no one in my family has caught it, or they have at least never tested positive. 7 people, out of those 3 elderly (70+) and two teens. I work, kids go to school, we eat out, shop, etc. Been on long plane flights and in crowded elevators with and without masks. All but the teens have had the latest booster, but I never got the second boost last year and no one has had a shot since October. Wife and I did the UT Cares thing and my antibodies were always off the charts, while hers were relatively low. I don’t know what to think about any of it at this point. Hard to be motivated to get more shots like I was in 2021.
  6. Also thought "Live and Let Die" won. Didn't.
  7. I remembered "Nobody Does it Better" and that's why I made the James Bond comment. But turns out it didn't win because someone cobbled together a movie so "You Light Up My Life" could win an Oscar. But apparently Billie Eilish won last year for a Bond song I've never heard, and Adele won for Skyfall - heard but totally forgotten. So I was actually right despite myself.
  8. You won't convince me you didn't google those.
  9. I'd honestly watch that before Nebraska vs. Indiana.
  10. It's going back to the Disney vault!
  11. My thought is that if they can, they all move to Dallas. So what's left can't.
  12. There's a guy who used to sit with us at the stadium who moved to Tulsa. He doesn't report back often, but when he does it's not favorable. To the point that "why don't you just move back?" is a touchy subject.
  13. Again, fair point. Forgot where I was.
  14. It feels like an easy give. I'm not sure I can name another "best song," and I probably won't remember this one by summer. Wait - don't they usually give these to James Bond movies?
  15. Bad movie, but not close to the fish fucking one. Or Crash. Or Shakespeare in Love. Those are the low-hanging recent fruit. Don't get me started on Midnight Cowboy over Butch Cassidy. Watch them both now. And then there's the Artist, which was like a grad school film experiment. Not "bad", but not a film most people would ever sit through.
  16. Fair enough. I misunderstood your point. It had a plot. It was fine. To me it was like giving best picture to John Dies at the End, which was also fine. Do the drugs help or hurt? I guess they never hurt. BTW, I did not know this, but today I found out that one of the two directors of EEAAO was the guy uncontrollably hitting things with his dick in the Turn Down for What video, and that he was also responsible for that "Omniboat" movie where a guy fantazises that he's an ultrafast cigarette boat called "Lay'n Pipe." Together they also made Swiss Army Man, where Paul Dano rides the farting corpse of Harry Potter around like a jetski. Those make EEAAO seem like a Frank Capra film.
  17. It was when Annie Hall beat out Star Wars.
