  1. I feel like that’s a pretty apt description of Tom Ford’s career sice about 2010 or earlier. And I’m jealous.
  2. This is great. I forgot all about posting in this thread. Didn't remember anything about what I wrote, but I agree with it. It's 12:50pm, Not that Bob and I are heading to dinner before shuffleboard.
  3. just the metal wand. it's apparently a common complaint that I totally missed before buying. Delonghi, Gaggia and Saeco are all past acquistions of Philips, and there's a lot of part interchangeability, but they're supposedly still differences in "philosophy." Italians. I think the Gaggia is a little more stripped down and single-task than the Saeco Vienna I had, and more robust than the Clasico.
  4. Bought a Gaggia to complement the Moccamaster, which doesn't make sense when it's just me or my son making a cup. It's a far superior espresso pull to the two old Saecos I had, but the milk wand is a pain in the ass. You have to let it heat up twice to do a decent cupful of milk - sometimes three times. Takes forever. The product is better but you have to earn it.
  5. The idea of a TCU beat down makes them being there taste a tiny bit less like braised ass.
  6. I feel like the PacoJet folks should be absolutely sending flowers to McKay Ferrell and Mylod.
  7. So what's the over/under on seasons to Beard's next gig? I say 3. He's too talented a coach for someone not to give him a shot - particularly if he does some kind of redemptive exercise.
  8. Snap it quick. I don’t know why more teams don’t try that
  9. Michigan cheerleaders. Whoa. Can’t unsee.
  10. I get that. But they blew them out. I mean beat them down. I saw this TCU team all year and did not once sit back in awe.
  11. I wonder if he thought his audience generally agrees, and I wonder if he’s right.
  12. We hired an extremely likeable buffoon then overcorrected to a guy who is clearly universally loathed in his profession. The interesting thing is we appear not to have overcorrected from that guy, at least as far as the west coast is concerned.
