  1. We have speed and we have guys who can read a defense, but we don’t have anyone who has both speed and acumen.
  2. Glad OU lost. That no called PI against Stoops - LOL
  3. So when are the F16s arriving, after the negotiations?
  4. Something from her hometown or her favorite memories. A family trip. A get together with her and her girlfriends at some place she likes. Something handmade by you and the kids. A nice seafood dinner.
  5. Ah, so you still have to pay the acquisition cost, too? Ouch. I bought mine 8 years ago, knowing we would eventually remodel. We have a lot in Sandpoint but there are a decent number of building restrictions which increases the cost considerably at today's prices. So, I am opening back up the search. There is new construction for sale with worse views but much less expensive than what it would cost me to build. There are lots further away with better views and fewer building restrictions but more remote... Basically, I am holding tight for the next 6 months and see where things go - Actually, this isn't really true. I am looking online a lot. What throws a wrench in things is that my family has a beautiful house in Santa Fe which we go to regularly and which may or may not go to me in the future. I guess it makes me a little less desperate but at the same time I want a place of my own when I am still young enough to enjoy the hiking, skiing, etc.

  7. Isn't he like 6'5"? I get the feeling he is more of a goal post.
  8. Sandpoint, ID although now I am expanding my search. Maybe Whitefish, MT but it is the same deal. Basically, the price of places in the entire Rocky Mt. region is ridiculous. Obviously, I am disputing the charges and obviously I didn't authorize additional charges. But, that doesn't stop collections or the effect on credit ratings. That is where I need assistance.
  9. It is usually necessary in order for me to get laid. And it sometimes helps the Longhorns win.
  10. The timber company was going to send his plan and the architect's plans to a structural engineer that the timber company uses and I was going to pay the structural engineer directly. I haven't done it yet because the construction costs have pretty much doubled. It is at that stage though - finalized timber plan, finalized architect's plans, finalized stormwater and landscape plan - needs to get engineering stamp.
  11. Pretty typical bs. That is one of the reasons I haven't started our build yet. With the unexpected costs and the post-Covid higher cost of labor and materials and the need for landscaping, etc., it makes it less expensive to take a home down to the studs than to build from scratch. The question is always whether you can find an existing home and lot that works. I'm having a problem with the architect that I can't figure out how to resolve. I may not have even signed a contract but I'll have to dig through everything. We received a final bill and paid the final bill. The timber company for timber framing said that there were problems with the plans with regard to the timbers so the timber guy told the architect what needed to change. The architect then sent me a bill for $8000 after the changes were made and without telling me that there would be charges. He sent me to collections. What do you think I should do?
  12. You better hurry with the framing. You are running out of time before winter sets in.
  13. It may have something to do with the California rb, but IMG recruiting is tough sledding.

  16. Author: Britny Eubank Published: 11:44 AM CDT October 31, 2023 Updated: 6:33 PM CDT October 31, 2023 AUSTIN, Texas — An employee of the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) was killed in an incident while on-duty Tuesday morning. The airport confirmed that the Department of Aviation requested emergency service personnel to respond to an incident involving an injured on-duty airport employee on Oct. 31. Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) said medics responded just before 9:30 a.m. to reports that a person had been struck by a vehicle, and the Austin Police Department (APD) also confirmed that officers responded to a call of a crash at the airport. The employee was pronounced dead at the scene just after 10 a.m. after resuscitation efforts were made by medics. "Our thoughts are with the deceased’s loved ones, friends, families and colleagues and we ask our community to keep them in their thoughts," the airport said in a statement. AUS said the incident happened outside, on the secure side of the airport where planes park for passengers to board, near gates 33 and 34. Neither airport operations nor flights have been impacted. APD said its investigation into this incident is ongoing and that the person's name or job title would not be released at this time. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) told KVUE that they could not comment on an open and ongoing investigation and that by law, OSHA has up to six months to complete it. This is the second time this year that an airport or airline employee has died at AUS. Back in April, an American Airlines employee died at one of the airport's gates after a ground service vehicle hit a jet bridge. There have also been three close call incidents involving aircraft at AUS so far this year. Councilmember Alison Alter released the following statement following the employee's death: "Deeply saddened by the news of a City of Austin Government employee who was killed in a fuel storage truck accident on the tarmac at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. My thoughts are with their family and coworkers. All city employees deserve a safe place to work."
  17. This guy I know had a thing about COVID. He told his wife she had to obey "one" rule - Don't go to the grocery and don't go out with your friends. If you do, he said, he was going to divorce her if he didn't kill her first. Well, of course she disobeyed. She broke the rule. She developed COVID and brought it back to the house. I don't know what happened to her. She disappeared like smoke through a keyhole. But, rumors have it that the guy still roams the boards to this day.
  18. No one would want a part of that, except for Iran. They would definitely want in on "peacekeeping".
  19. They have to fire those missiles over Saudi Arabia.
  20. I would think it would be good for Texas if LSU ran the table and beat Georgia in the conference championship game. Maybe Florida State could lose to Florida and Miami but I doubt it.
