  1. Our red zone issues were both QB and OL related last season, IMO. We couldn't get push in short yardage situations and while the threat of the QB running helps, it doesn't always make the difference. The biggest ? is the OL which doesn't really get answered until Aug. 30. Flood has his work cut out for him. Having said that, I think Arch helps our red zone woes with his arm as much as the run threat he poses. When the field gets compressed, his quick release and zip are more likely to circumvent the need to punch it in from inside the five.
  2. I've no desire to try a peanut beer. Haven't totally ruled out IPA's, but the positive hit rate has been low for me. I generally haven't had good luck with unconventional ingredient or fruity beers, but not opposed to trying some. Pecan might be worth a shot, for instance. I tried Shiner Prickly Pear and wasn't impressed. Some years back I tried Shiner Wicked Ram IPA from one of their sampler 6-packs and liked it. They discontinued it -- go figure. I've been tempted to try Abita Amber, but frankly I'm unwilling to pay the premium they charge over local craft brewers. I don't mind paying more for more expensive to brew craft beers, like Commissar or a Triple. Likewise for German, Belgian, UK or Czech beers, but not going to do it for an amber lager from hop, skip and a jump away Louisiana.
  3. For some reason, your post brought this scene to mind (film name irony 😄)
  4. Some interesting commentary about Deandre Moore's confidence on yesterday's Coffee & Football. Linked to start at 34:56 and ends about the 37 minute mark. Hope he backs it up.
  5. Having a hard time wrapping my head around this. Seriously, WTF over! On another note, I'd love to have seen hidden camera footage of all this. There had to have been some comedy gold facial expressions, superhuman suppression efforts and stolen eye contact going on, LOL.
  6. What is the Texas Longhorns fall practice schedule? Workouts begin soon! - Longhorns Wire
  7. Like hearing about a young WR embracing all his roles, especially blocking. Encouraging if true.
  8. Paulaner - Oktoberfest Marzen, 5.8% Alc. 👍
  9. Christian Clark's was non contact. Baxter's was a contact injury.
  10. We're getting to the point where you're going to have to stop criticizing my spelling and posting behavior. You have a head injury this week or something? ... 😄 Kidding aside, Barron is the kind of player that makes a bad coach look good. He's the total package -- athletic, smart and driven. He spent a lot of time watching film to refine his technique and play recognition. We can only hope the example he set was infectious.
  11. That pep talk was painful to watch. Cringe worthy. Looked like coach didn't want to be doing it, and only half believed in it. Had the smile pasted on his face, all while knowing there was a fairly good chance Bert would go full Bert right there. I'm sure Sark didn't know WTF to do at that time though - was worth a shot, I guess.
  12. I'm not predicting he won't get better nor saying he hasn't made good plays. I simply wouldn't try to project his NFL draft based on what I've seen to date. I just need to see improvement this season, beyond any "we've been told" practice reports to come in fall camp.
  13. He's just another talking head who skims the surface, never delving deeply enough to intelligently talk about fuck-all. Deandre Moore's projecton seems a bit lofty based on past performance even if insider sources cite improvement. Hopefully he really has made strides and proves it on the field this season. He's been inconsistent thus far IMO.
  14. I wouldn't consider last season as the backup to predict this season. He's "The Guy" this go-around and Sark's offense will make use of the TE, especially one getting paid a fair sum to be on the roster and with NFL expectations. I expect Arch will spread the ball around to all of his receivers.
  15. Beating CTJ in a 5-yard dash doesn't make you fit as fuck, sir!
  16. There are Texas school zones with signs posted it is unlawful to use your cell phone in them. Anyways, I don't see that as a tack-on charge in the Georgia player's case. If it was against the law, and you got nailed on drug possession, you can bet the officer on the scene isn't going to hold back on charges.
  17. Paraphrasing ... Gawja: It works both ways, we pay and pay well. We walked into Houston and stole Chace Calicut from underneath their noses. We're about relationships, not transactions. They're all about transacations. Let's see how that works out for them ...
  18. From Gawja secrant ...
