  1. Flipping channels this morning, and on CNBC there was a ad for Energy Fuels Inc (or as we know it UUUU), the ad said something about energy and defense related. I really didn't catch all of it, as I wasn't aware of who the ad was when it started. I guess if you have the money, might as well court new investors - right? I'm guessing that this means I should average down, again 🚀🚀🚀
  2. well in all honesty, it is much easier over there because that is where we all gather

  4. Michael Block hacking up the 2nd hole - left his approach short and then did a crisscross pattern trying to find the green/hole looks like there will be no block party at Valhalla this year
  5. Put on your tinfoil hats boys & girls - podcast with new "evidence" and theory of what happened to MH-370 Where I first saw a report of this podcast - https://www.barstoolsports.com/blog/3513720/10-years-later-we-may-have-evidence-of-what-happened-to-malaysian-flight-370 And the youtube link (it is also on Spotify also linked) -
  6. Or maybe Erica found out he was having breakfast at Perkins
  7. yeah, I wish. I jumped onto that bandwagon, thinking lithium mining and recycling was a great combination.....and now I am just waiting for the inevitable reverse split death knell
  8. Tee Times are posted - looks like Michael Block is first off the tee; and of interest: 7:53 - 10 - Aberg, Xander, JT 8:04 - 10 - Tiger, Adam Scott, Keegan 8:15 - 10 - Cam, Hideki, Viktor 8:37 - 10 - Brooks, Max, Jordan 1:51 - 1 - Morikawa, Phil, Matt Fitz 2:02 - 1 - RIckie, Rahm, Cam Young 2:13 - 1 - Wyndham, Harman, Scottie
  9. I predict this means Rory is going to join LIV; but he needed to cut those ties because he isn't giving away half of $750 million (or whatever ridiculous number he could get). Hell he can play in all the majors anyway (except the Green Jacket that is missing from his wardrobe)
  10. This could/should affect the 4U investors https://www.axios.com/2024/05/14/biden-russian-uranium-ban President Biden on Monday signed a bipartisan bill banning imports of Russian enriched uranium, with waivers for companies to continue bringing it in until 2028. Why it matters: The U.S. spends an estimated $1 billion per year on nuclear fuel from Russia, so the new law cuts off a key source of revenue as Putin's forces escalate their war on Ukraine and drive military spending to levels not seen since the Soviet Union in the mid-1980s. Congress moved to ban Russian oil, gas and coal soon after the full-scale Russian military invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022, but Russia supplies about 20% of its enriched uranium for U.S. nuclear fuel. The legislation could shake up the industry's supply and initiating nuclear fuel supply programs will be crucial for the Biden administration to avoid industry disruptions and obstacles for the next generation of reactors, Axios' Nick Sobczyk reports.
  11. Look up Buck Compton, be up in La. Child actor with Mickey Rooney, played football and baseball at UCLA with Jackie Robinson, Sgt with Easy Company, after the war LA PD, then in the prosecutors office, he led the Sirhan Sirhan protection, and finally a judge on the California Appellate Court. His biography was a captivating read.
  12. Is that Bert as the Aggie HFC - seeing this, I can't believe he wasn't on the list
  13. + rep for 12 Monkey gif/meme for now dude, for now
  14. 2 things - a) did Rory send a message, or peak a week too early (shot his wad at Quail Hollow)? b) Congrats to new dad Scottie - hoping he can make a run at the PGA and add true excitement into this season. x) would love to see Jordan somehow put together a week, compete and get some excitement into the PGA Championship about his career slam
  15. Whew, dodged a bullet. Everyone should do their safe check in shit just so we know we didn't lose anyone to this traumatic event
  16. The real question is Meredith going to hold out until after the PGA to drop that kiddo on the world, or is Scottie going to skip the Louisville major? All that drama in Augusta, and now a month later Scottie Jr. still waiting to hatch
  17. hey look what I can do with a little cut & paste I am thinking this should be the new Surly logo, at least for the OT season
  18. whatever
  19. My brother in-law, retired cop, says if you are going to prep you need to build up from the 3-Bs: Beans (meaning dry foods - beans, rice, pasta, wheat, and malt/barley to make your beer) Beverages (90% water, then your favored alcohol) Bullets (along with a reloader & supplies) here is an interesting site he sent me a few years ago - interesting source
  20. The R votes on this really tell the story of true MAGA support - R's voted 196-11 to table, or they have 11 votes in their own caucus to support removal of Johnson. I know this is just hopeful thinking, but I'd like to see this threat just go away and allow the house to actually get some legislative work done. Greene could well get reelected, but maybe even in her own district voters will start to realize how ineffective she is - but maybe they like having a loud mouth schnook; and to quote Foghorn Leghorn - she is about as smart as a bowling ball.
  21. Scared money don't make money. The best time to invest in BRK was yesterday, it will still be true tomorrow, as it was last week, last year, etc. Make it easy on yourself, $ cost average in over 6-12 months put 10-20% of the amount you want to invest every month, that way you avoid peaks and valleys relative to putting it in in one or two big chunks. Past performance is no guarantee of future results; beware the Wally/Reverse Wally curse
  22. I am starting to think that BRK.A/B has the same idea about buying shares when Warren does die. I mean that $190 billion in cash would certainly be available to support buying into the distresssed mark & last I read Warrens' stake in worth under $140 billion. Damn it they are going to front run me on this last of his lifetime event.
  23. Wrong meme - should be the hard landing, because the Fed missed the airport to bring it in softly & now they are flying around and will slam it right into a slamming us all right into a recession. WIll the Fed ever figure out that driving, while looking in the rearview mirror means you should ease up sooner than you think. Dumbest thing ever was to keep stimulating as long as they did. Oh well, we need some sort of a reset anyway.
