  2. It's been a slow couple of weeks, I'm sitting on the sidelines seeing which way the winds blow - looks like maybe headwinds, but then again if the market turns just slightly it could be the wind beneath my sails, or it could just be blowing smoke up my ass.
  3. LOL - reminds me of a conversation I was part of years ago, going to a petrochemical plant with 2 engineers and they were debating which is more inherently dangerous superheating a hydrocarbon stream under high pressure (aka cracking) or combining oxygen with a hydrocarbon stream (an ethylene oxide plant in this conversation). This conversation was relevant as our plant of was part of a much larger facility that had a large "event" the week before.
  4. So eat moar chicken, right?
  5. Maybe he can help you with your spelling
  6. Actually, no don't. We should all be sure they are worse than the first time. And fuck all you assholes, it isn't like she's running for office. Oh wait, that has changed too.
  7. Bonfire needs to be bigger (and falling down) - sorry if too soon
  8. not linking - but CNN has an article that Aaron Rodgers says he choose his football career over being the VP candidate. LOL if true & LOL if A-Aron is making shit up
  9. Fatrick Reed WD from the Dallas qualifier and is out of the US Open, Sergio was in a playoff and is the 1st alternate (not sure if it is from that site, or overall)

  11. Here is a local story from near me from Saturday - Drunk driver hits 16 pedestrians in a a rural are, 2 deaths, 14 hospitalized, 6 are still in the hospital. This is the best summary that I have seen today - https://www.fox2detroit.com/news/michigan-pregnant-mom-fatal-drunk-driving-hit-and-run Two of the 16 victims died at the scene including a 30-year-old man from Grand Haven and a 42-year-old man from Grand Ledge. Other victims' ages were 2, 2, 3, 6, 6, 7, 8, 16, 27, 28, 32, 33, 38 and 61, the sheriff's office said. Sounds like they were walking back to a family house, from a park that has a boat launch. I've been to that park a few times, the bridge is narrow not that is any excuse. Waiting to see when they release the name of the victims, as it is a fairly small community and my kids have friends from the area. This might catch some national attention, but the former Presidents trial and death of the Iranian President take up a lot of space in print and on websites.
  12. The solution, in my crazy proposal, is to split the 2 big revenue sports (football & mens basketball) out from the NCAA and out from direct oversight by the universities. You would then create a sports franchise (minor league) that will be located in the home city of these universities, the university would license the school name/mascot/colors etc and also rent facilities for the teams to use for training, practice, residence, and stadiums for competition. There could be agreements to allow players to attend the school, and I am sure there are alumni groups that would love to fund this set up and have an ownership stake in said affiliated sports franchise. I've thought this for a few years, as a way to deal with Title IX issues, but really with the changes brought by NIL we are miles closer to this model being actually viable.. FWIW - this model would only apply to the top divisions of football and hoops at the college level; DII and lower would still be able to maintain being under the Athletic Dept. In all honesty, playoff eligible football and top level mens hoops programs have become defacto minor league sports with NIL money for "salaries" Lots of bugs and details to something like this, but it isn't as far from what is actually happening as it was only 2 years ago.
  13. Great field, but playing a course as challenging as the Greater Greensboro Open (no slight meant to Greensboro) and that isn't going to cut it for a major championship. Bye Bye Louisville
  14. shows you know nothing about Scottie, he insisted that Ted go to his kids graduation. Family comes first, Scottie can still win this
  15. I'm seeing DJ, Fatrick & Nieman, and then I quit looking. Not sure there could be more, but these guys don't really care so much, as they've been paid.
  16. Yesterday has to mean season 3 for Netflix Full Swing - life and crimes with Scottie
  17. how much will you pay me to not get involved in FFIE? 🤣🤣🤣
  18. What is the consensus on Scotties' presser today? a) he skips it to get away from the frenzy b) he shows up with his attorney
  19. I think I've written 3 checks this year - and one was to myself. My wife still writes 5-10 checks a month, and won't use the remote deposit app, she is Mrs Karen Boomer
  20. Obviously this mornings' trauma has affected Scottie's game - he birdied the 1st hole, yesterday he eagled his first hole.
  21. I watched about 5 minutes of Golf Network coverage last night, and heard that Valhalla is a boring course, boring set up and it is looking like it could be a boring tournament, Scottie driving in to work today has changed that whole narrative; people who don't follow golf are now seeing this on their news feeds. Good job by the PGA of America at finding a way to spice up their little event here this week in Kentucky.
  22. This could cost Ted Scott a shit ton of money. Just sayin
  23. Bookies, Sports books, gambling apps and fantasy golf leagues are figuring out what to do with Scheffler - if he can't make his tee time
