  1. Damn. Dwight Yoakum talking about Merle Haggard's Holding Things Together...damn
  2. Samuel Adams commercial; guy and girlfriend furiously making out in a bar, girl breaks off and says, "I can taste your beer." Random dude standing next to their table chimes in, "I want to taste his beer." Fuck off you fucking perv....and while we're at it, you two get a fucking room. Nobody wants to see that shit.

  4. I thought it was well done. I really enjoyed the clip, referenced above and in other threads, of Mike Campbell belly laughing at aggy stupidity. "They thought they were going to beat us with the wishbone. *chuckle* It was pathetic. They had no chance." I also laughed at the line from the offensive lineman (Bob McKay?) about how he intentionally missed a block on Jame Street's TD run because, "I couldn't let Street throw another interception." I would love to share a beer or five with these guys and just listen to their stories. Room got kind of dusty when coach Royal and Bill Little were talking about Freddie Steinmark. I says a lot about what kind of man Steinmark must have been that 50 years after the fact, anyone who knew him still tears up when talking about him.
  5. Hmmmm...I wonder how much coin Tom's going to make from the use of his image. Maybe about tree fiddy?
  6. I thought this was heading somewhere...I am disappointed.
  7. Are there any copyright infringement concerns with this thing?
  8. Not from my childhood, but student years, I submit: Darryl Clark, first Longhorn RB after Earl Campbell to have a 1,000 yard season.
  9. I'm not exactly sure what the ad is for, maybe Harry's Shave Club or something, but the commercial with the fat slob with a "dad-bod" dancing in the shower is cause for instant channel change.
  10. As someone who's been longing to return to Texas for over 30 years, I would recommend that the last thing you do before leaving Texas is quit your job and get a new job that allows you to stay in Texas. Seriously, you'll be trying to find way to return for the rest of your life...or as long as it takes you to return. But yes, by all means, GTF outta College Station.
  11. Not my first, but 43 years ago tonight, I saw Johnny Winter in the Sam Houston Coliseum. Weather Report, with Wayne Shorter and Jaco Pastoreus ,opened. Weird pairing, great show.
  12. Funny, I don't feel like an old timer. But, about the game. I watched this last night also, and had forgotten about this play, but LES KOENIG WAS ROBBED!!! Didn't matter ultimately, because we still won, but the final score should have been 24-13, not 20-13.
  13. First big name show I attended was February 1971 at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo when my dad took the family to see Johnny Cash. I was only 9, so it was a little hard to appreciate, but I do remember enjoying the show. First rock concert was March 1976 at the Sam Houston Colosseum when my sister and I saw Bad Company with Ted Nugent opening. Atmosphere was awesome, and I managed to get slightly stoned vicariously due to the thick clouds of Mary Jane in the air. Not related to my first, but I thought this was as good a place as any to mention that 40 years ago this very night, in fact from the very moment I'm typing this, that same sister and I were in the Summit watching as Muddy Waters opened for Eric Clapton. Great, great show. Was hoping Johnny Winter would make an appearance, but that was not to be. Great show anyway.
  14. Alright Horns, need three outs to win this thing.
  15. Another hit wasted...Shaw throw out at second.
  16. Nice strike out by Bocchi to end the inning, but fuck that behind the plate camera angle. I would have like to see the pitch.
