  1. They'd need principles first. Voting for Trump in 2024 required that you have none.
  2. I've daydreamed several times about Tarantino giving maga the Basterds/Django style treatment. What I'm imagining he'd produce would be both hilarious and cathartic. To digress further, one of the best movie ideas I've ever heard was for Gremlins 3: set in DC, Billy gets hired as the portrait painter for Clamp, who's now president. Add mogwai and gremlins and voila, you have the ingredients for an excellent satire of maga and their destructive, impish insanity. It's probably one of the only ways you can satirize those clowns at this point, actually.
  3. Lulz. He's too political by doing his one fucking job instead of what the goddamn imperial President of the United States, who singlehandedly controls all 3 branches of government, and who gave him the job in the first place, wants.
  4. It's funny, and wholly unsurprising, that he has absolutely no idea what a fucking joke he's going to be remembered as, even by the future generations of his people (the uneducated, bigots, phony evangelicals etc). This motherfucker is going to die before facing any accountability for his countless brazenly criminal and evil deeds, but history isn't going to be fooled or dodged. He'll be the biggest joke of all time.
  5. Good god your propaganda is dumb as fuck. And the lazy gaslighting effort is just so boring and ineffective. The fascists are losing their gaslighting fastball.
  6. At this point can we just give rural America to these assholes to do whatever fascist, regressive, Handmaids Tale shit they want with it and in exchange they leave us the fuck alone in our cities? Just please leave us the fuck alone, you backwards, ignorant freaks.
  7. Hatred. Power. Control. Aggrandizement. That's absolutely all they are about.
  8. That's the most winning anyone's ever done in maroon.
  9. The lack of shame is a super power now. Having a conscience, scruples, and the capacity to feel shame are now signs of weakness. It's undeniably proof of our societal decay.
  10. Shotsie is just the perfect name for this guy.
  11. It wouldn't be in the way we'd like.
  12. Hahaha! We're all fucked!
  13. Not really. His only arguably genius move was deciding to appeal to the absolutely lowest common denominator. Nobody could've known just how common it was.
  14. The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that Dump sending his stooges to "depose" Maxwell - under these circumstances - is the single craziest political story in American history.
  15. He definitely wasn't in there. Grand jury testimony is going to be just the most surface level info. And of course he wouldn't be seeking their release if he was mentioned.
  16. Biggest pussy in history. Quite the accomplishment, honestly.
  17. Not quite right. A bigly portion of that group know it's reported, but choose not to believe it. Because they're in a cult.
  18. This is something that has shocked me about humanity since I was a kid, because I've always found it easy to identify and account for my own bias and remain objective in most circumstances. But so many people can't do this at all. They are complete slaves to the id of their psyche and what they consciously or subconsciously want or perhaps need to believe about reality. These people are disproportionately drawn to MAGAtism because make-believe isn't just sanctioned, but a central tenet.
  19. Their righties sound a lot different than ours. Guess that's because they don't have a Fox News equivalent that they all download their thoughts from.
  20. As good as some of the MAGAt schadenfreude can be, it's hard to find joy in our country imploding in the most idiotic and foreseeable ways possible. All of our futures are being robbed from. Shit is depressing as fuck.
  21. I have this thought repeatedly every day.
  22. When my grandpa died, the mortician fucked up and forgot to put makeup on a visible part of his hand. It looked kinda like this.
  23. I can't believe this idiot makes millions just from farting stuff like this out of his mouth. The world makes no sense.
  24. This is what I've been kinda confused about. Did this camp not have someone awake and on watch through the night for security or any other kind of emergency? With hundreds of young girls there? ETA: NYT article linked up-thread says there was a retired police officer on site for security, and that some girls went to tell him about the flooding, but the article just leaves it at that and it's unclear when in the timeline of events he was notified or what he tried to do. The chronology of events in the article is pretty murky in general.
