  1. the person whose password i use will be more than happy to do that.
  2. also the whole tie-dye shirt bit - i mean yeah, it's not normal for roy's consistent wardrobe (or for a football coach) but it was well made and plenty of people like tie-dye shit. if it was a super fucked up attempt at tie-dye, like something that would actually come from a 3rd grader then it probably would've worked better. didn't seem like it would get the crazy attention it got, and once you say, "it was a gift from my niece" it gets cute and nobody would care. a tuxedo t-shirt on the other hand...
  3. rebecca would never end up with a minor character like ted.
  4. pretty soon they can blame all city violence on democrat mayors.
  5. they all thought/hoped the election wouldn’t hinge on wisc. it was more about giving mencken what he wanted from them at the time. and yes, kendall spoke to nate and found out quickly that shiv was being a duplicitous dipshit. again. it wasn’t twisty or confusing.
  6. been meaning to say this for weeks but the van damme joke was never funny and it’s crazy they’ve tried to make fetch happen all season. the national teams and the okufu league should’ve been season-long plotlines. tough to set that all up and knock it all down in one episode. the rebecca speech would’ve landed better with half a season build-up. they also should’ve had jack pull funding right after the breakup and then waited to have rebecca save the day at the 11th hour. her sending that vague text was nonsense. the ambiguity of nate resigning + inappropriate behavior + rupert’s asst leaving was also silly. ambitious episode. a lot going on. it’s like this show is trying to win a bet that it’s episodic when it’s clearly serialized. a lot of time wasted this season on lesser storylines than these, yet here we are shoving everything into an hour.
  7. mr roper's middle name was woke.
  8. for those unaware, comcast also owns nbcu so they're all over this mess. though parks makes a bunch of money for them (more than the movie studio for sure), so maybe that's the whole point. they're probably a better analog for waystar royco, other than the atn piece. talking companies, not ownership.
  9. ok it seems like season 2 and 3 are the best ones, voted by fans. season 8 is ranked 3rd. so it's really about suzanne somers vs priscilla barnes. https://episode.ninja/series/threes-company/best-seasons
  10. you don't think i'll do it? i'll fucking do it, i've got spare time. all seasons streaming free on pluto. be on the lookout for a thread.
  11. that episode seemed to be a bit of a one-off escapist journey for everyone, or at least that's how i took it. nothing that happened in amsterdam should have spillover into the other episodes, with the exception of course being the total football fever dream. i'm not saying that's how they're treating it, but several signs point that direction. not quite the 2 isolated eps from last season, but close. it's another example of how ted lasso tries to do a lot and sometimes fails. there are no rules in half-hour comedy shows anymore, including the fact that every episode this season is longer than any episode of the west wing. i think it would be a fun exercise to take a season of an old sitcom like say, three's company. then everybody goes and watches it, and we micro-analyze the characters and plot like we do ted lasso. "there's no way chrissy would've forgotten how to make a bed, why did she say that?"
  12. remember in the early seasons when amc would run old commercials and shit during mad men (or at least old looking commercials that companies made)? it made it tricky to fast forward dvr'd episodes.
  13. a story came out yesterday (or sunday?) that trump and rudy were selling pardons. a completely outrageous and horrifying story that is so believable and expected that it barely got any news coverage.
  14. dude put that shit in spoilers for all the people on this thread who are unfamiliar with these films.
  15. when you're alone and life is making you lonely you can always go... 7:00, pj clark's. ...midtown.
  16. i feel like we're 3-5 years max from being able to put people on ignore in real life. i will wait patiently.
  17. the original berf new fantasy football team i call it.
  18. she was my favorite part, i was cracking up. also re: sewage joe - he was the only one i recognized and he also seemed to have way less screentime than the other jurors. it was like they figured out halfway through how recognizable he was. don't know how real it was, but the main guy did keep saying how crazy shit just kept happening, so maybe he was rolling with it figuring it was part of the documentary and maybe everyone else was in his same situation. it's one thing to think it's set up to be crazy, it's another to think/know you're the only one who's not in on the gag. also maybe it's small enough to film additional seasons? they could go to another city but not sure how easy it would be to sell the docu part of it.
  19. i think this is a good rule for this post and the 8-10 preceding it.
  20. nice maldonado you got there, be a shame if something happened to it.
  21. so we have a guy with obvious raw power, who's good enough to hit 6th in a major league lineup, and we haven't been actively pushing him into our lineup at every opportunity? cool cool. clearly we have all the offense we need.
  22. i'm glad this is an environment where you feel free to fail.
