  1. If Trump wins the presidential election he may have to resign over this.
  2. Glad to see the authorities are finally getting my emails.
  3. We can have a gun problem and a violet extremist problem. Both things can be true at the same time. The easy access to guns and normalization of fascist views (that advocate violence) exacerbate the lethality of violent extremists. I think it’s a mistake to ignore this connection.
  4. For me it seems to be a homicidal maniac problem. There’s probably more to our mass shooter phenomenon than irresponsible gun policy but I agree, the bad gun policy should be the focus at this time. But suppose we had no guns, would people still be as kill crazy in the US? More so than other developed countries? Why? questions for another time
  5. Found out I’m related to Mitch McConnell going back to the Revolutionary War and I just want to die.
  6. unabomber would actually be a more credible endorsement than RFK Jr.
  7. Expand the House, end gerrymandering, end the filibuster, end the electoral college, and legislate out or overturn Citizens United…for starters.
  8. Not that anyone should care but I’m banned from tigerdroppings again. Someone on the SEC help board asked “who is the admin on the political talk board?”(because it is so far right). I replied, “judging by the content, David Duke.” Thread deleted and user (me) banned. Oh well!
  9. I was hoping someone would bring this up. Several indigenous tribes have a matrilineal and/or matriarchal social structure infused with their religious practices. (Particularly the Hopi and Cherokee.) Are these societies better at “keeping the peace” than their patriarchal counterparts? Someone should do a study. Perhaps there is an argument to be made.
  10. Perhaps the patriarchy infused into most religions is also part of the problem.
  11. I know, kinda why it was bordering on trolling. He wasn’t openly advocating against circumcision, seemed like he was just trying to rile people up over an uncomfortable truth to further his anti-religion position. It was the way he argued the point that bothered me, I guess.
  12. Hitchens makes some thought provoking and well deserved criticisms of religion but the guy was also a provocateur bordering on disingenuous troll at times. Especially with the whole “circumcision is ritualistic genital mutilation.” The guy kept pushing the envelope to remain relevant I guess.
  13. Socrates was the original troll. Claimed to know nothing while exposing the ignorance of others. The problem for Socrates was he trolled the wrong people, some douchebag rich kid snowflakes.
  14. Religion killed Socrates and Jesus. Or was it the state? Who is to say?
  15. I think human history has shown you can’t stop people from praying and there’s a difference between atheists and anti-theists.
