  1. FWIW,I I got the J&J back in March and just tested positive for COVID from a test last night. Symptoms - bad nagging cough, shortness of breath with any exertion, tired. Otherwise I feel ok. Sick of this cough though.
  2. I forgot to post this. I know some real wierd people, I seem to attract them. One guy came up with this. I tried and couldn't come up with a good use for it. I dont think im far enough outside the lines.
  3. True, I try to emulate him in my own writing/composing. Im nowhere near that league obviously, but still.
  4. Agreed. That collection show. Maybe Bonamossa shows off more, but ill never know. I think Mike is slowly morphing into TP. Already sounds just like him, now he's getting the look down.
  5. Be careful with those Denoginizers, mdl. 9% abv is pretty sneaky when it comes in a 6pk. Believe me.
  6. Pretty much this. My ex didn't notice the difference once I got past about 4 guitars and 3 amps. Probably flipping a few through the place helped disguise it. Otherwise, if you buy wisely and take decent care of them they are as good as a savings account, likely better. I think she got that. Now that's my issue. I love every guitar in my collection, and it's pretty complete one. Covers all the bases, but the cases are lined up along an entire wall in my guest bedroom and I often think I'd rather sell a few and get the real estate back. Then I realize they would still take half a wall, and whats the difference between a wall and half a wall? It's not like I'm gonna clear half a wall of cool ass, awesome guitars and do something cooler with it, right? I could part with the drum kit, but the kit is key. That was a good decision.
  7. I'll throw in the black keys for free.
  8. I love when you place a small order containing 3 or 4 items and they all ship separately so that you get 4x the candy, and Sweetwater stickers too of course.
  9. I buy 95% of anything I need from Sweetwater every since my 1st encounter with them about 10 years ago for this reason. K. On my 3rd rep there and he calls me avery few months to see if I need anything. I work in sales so I get it, sometimes there actually is something I need. Evidently Musician's Friend is figuring out that they need to step it up. I would buy there occasionally prior to discovering SW. I bought a $30 gig bag there a few months ago that was SDotD. Now I get constant emails from my "sales engineer", even left me a voicemail last week. They still don't get it. The gig bag showed up and its fine, but I didn't find no bag of candy with it!
  10. I'm in a project right now where my lefty friend is playing my righty bass that way - he wants to play bass but doesn't own one. Albert King style.
  11. In his defense, all those -tion beers sit on shelves every since they opened the big new brewery. Ive still have boxes of them from when you had to hunt them down. At least they are well.
  12. It looks like my 1st post-pandemic show will be Thievery Corporation next Sunday unless something happens between now and then. I've also go tickets to see Billy Stings in Sept, Testament/Exodus in Nov, and Black Pumas in Dec. All Bay Area shows. Seems like events are being added daily at this point. Hard to keep up with them all.
  13. My friend ordered a custom built bronze resonator from a builder in New Zealand a few years back. I can't remember what he paid for it, but I do remember that he hadn't budgeted the extra $500 he had to pay when it cleared customs in the USA. Just something to consider.
  14. Its bad ass that its cut from a record. Funny they put the 5, 10, 15, etc. Inside the 1 -12. Probably kids don't know how to read a clock anymore.
  15. Tell me about those hangers? I use the straight ones and i have a place I was about to install, but those let me do 3.
  16. Not sure if this belongs here or on the perfect songs thread.
  17. Here's the test print is wanted.
  18. I had no idea you could do that!
  19. I'd be tempted it the fretboard was maple.

  23. Bogey, I think you're the only one in this thread who gets punk. Punk isnt about attitude or rebellion, though a lot of punk bands have done that. Punk is 3 chords and the truth. Linda Linda's are adolescent girls writing about their cats, friends, and experiences at school / not being at school and putting it to fun simple riffs people can get into. Thats punk as fuck.
