  1. I'm not going to go all nerd-nik on you, but this is just not the case. This review article from 2022, for example, suggests that the agricultural potential of lunar regolith has "rarely" been studied. Look, I love laughing and mocking aggy as much as the next asshole on this site. But I think the concept of farming on the Moon is fucking cool, OK?
  2. Actually, as someone who is interested in seeing sustainable spaceflight happen in my lifetime, demonstrating the use of lunar regolith in growing food that humans could eat is pretty significant.
  3. Not to me. Someone on Twitter was intimating that her son was involved in this, and subsequently posted this message as a screenshot. In other words, the mom was saying stfu about my kid's involvement in the peanut issue. I think the mom's message speaks for itself.
  4. Why not both?
  5. Yes, get those hopes up irrationally high. A-Hat is doing the lord's work.
  6. I'm not so sure. We had 25 years to develop rivalries in the Big 12 and I'm not sure we're leaving one behind.
  7. This is awesome on several levels.
  8. FYI, Bobby said today he's hearing that behind the scenes the SEC will be playing a nine-game conference schedule starting in 2025. The exact format has yet to be determined. Given the way Bobby stated this, it sounds like we can take a nine-game schedule as a certainty. Video is time-stamped to his remarks.
  9. I don't know, the last few pages seem closely aligned with the topic subject of a "clown car of posters, careening toward the canyon."
  10. I'm told it will be Bobby's top 995 recruits in the country.
  11. I'll bet @BobbyB knows.
  12. Did he ever mention that in the 'article'?
  13. Good lord that is peak 995 bullshit right there. It's happening in less than 24 hours, but I don't know shit so here are some words. Also, what is the third fanbase that has hope? It sure as shit is not Texas.
  14. Love to see Tay Tay triggering the crotchety old fucks here. I'm no fan of her music, but she's given my daughters a lot of joy, and empowered them to be the best girls they can.
  15. The discussion of Blue versus Baxter (who are incredibly complementary) just underscores what an embarrassment of riches that Sark has stockpiled at every offensive skill position. We are legitimately 2-deep at QB, 2-deep at TE, 4-deep at WR and balls-deep at RB with extremely qualified starters. That is recruiting and NIL, certainly. But it also speaks to the allure of Sarkisian's offense, and this effect should only build upon itself given the talent on display this upcoming season. It is hard not to get drunk on the Kool-Aid.
  16. I'm just being a drive-by commenter. I truly appreciate the effort to start a meaningful thread, as painful as it may be for us to revisit. That 2019 class was all the more of a gut punch because Texas football was such a fucking mirage. The team had its biggest win in nearly a decade, over Georgia, just weeks before signing day. Then they signed what appeared to be a bomber class headlined by that awesome dude from Cali, Bru McCoy. It looked like Herman had picked up the pieces from Chuckles and baked the fucking cake. Then it all exploded like that turkey on Christmas Vacation. It's good to remember what happened five years ago because it makes the reality of what is happening now all the more sweeter.
  17. Sorry for being a pedant, but I can't let this pass. The space shuttle never left low-Earth orbit, so if you created one, you aren't going to the Moon either.
  18. I'd be curious to see the thin-skinned response to this on IT, if such a thread exists. And congratulations to Gerry, Bobby, and Imma. We all win because of this.
