  1. http:// https://apple.news/ABDRvBk7SSCuHGn_7yWG43g This essentially rehashes the conversation in this thread.
  2. The following is not a defense of Schumer. Who is an alternative Minority Leader at this time? Will Schumer be ineffective as a potential Majority Leader if the Democrats retake the Senate at some point with only a slim margin?
  3. Fox News says they are not concentration camps. Ergo the statement about Pelosi is false and absurd.
  4. I am not arguing with anything you point out here. Pelosi absolutely made the correct call to pass the Senate version in front of the holiday and avoid McConnell’s potential gloating. My point is she lost well in advance when the House didn’t get their funding version passed first. McConnell outflanked her on the timeline when the Senate moved the bipartisan bill to passage. I believe I recall past times when former Speaker Ryan passed bullshit legislation in the House and then adjourned the House. Then he basically told the Senate to pass the House version or to go to Fuck themselves. Maybe that didn’t happen and my memory is poor, but it is what I recall.
  5. That is absurd. Maybe you should try updating her Wikipedia page with that phrase.
  6. Not really relevant. Pelosi was not the the primary savior of the ACA. I believe their was much circle jerking over the the late Senator McCain on that front. In this case however, Mitch lead the Senate and outmaneuvered Pelosi using timelines and Congress’ desire for vacation as opposed to solving problems.
  7. These areas of my yard are doing fairly well this year. Other areas are still struggling.
  8. What kind of lavender did you plant ? I threw 4 tiny lavender plants in the ground and they have grown well, but no blooms of any significance.
  9. ^^ because that is how the legislative process works. Making sausage is messy. Amash would never get a committee to vote on this by itself.
  10. That social contract fails if the population does not hold members of Congress accountable for failing to act. That is where we are today.
  11. There is only shame to be had on this topic. The fact that politicians can not be embarrassed by their positions on this topic reflect how much “noise” is in our daily lives. The electorate just doesn’t follow through and hold Congress accountable.
  12. Blackberries collected from last several days minus what I eat while picking.
  13. My St Augustine ( cultivar unknown) is really starting to thin out under the canopies of several of my mature pecan trees. As mentioned above, my primary suspect is too much shade. Wife doesn’t want the pecan trees thinned or limbed up, so I just put in 144 plugs of palmetto st Augustine. I put them in a range of conditions from almost full sun to full shade. We will see how it performs. Online, palmetto reads as being one of the better shade tolerant varieties.
  14. Some crazy fun is 78757. Neighbors Croos the street appear to have lost power. 1 lady sitting in her car in the driveway for the last 20 minutes
